LOS ANGELES (OC).–Showing its fake news credentials for all to see, the Hill newspaper defended Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) saying he’s the victim of a Department of Justice [DOJ] witch hunt all part of President Donald Trump’s retribution tour. How can any objective newspaper report as story about a possible indictment of Schiff as DOJ weaponization, all because Schiff did everything possible in Trump’s first term to discredit his presidency, accusing him of colluding with the Kremlin to win the 2016 presidential election. Schiff was part of the conspiracy before former President Joe Biden took it at step further, appointing Special Counsel Jack Smith Nov. 18, 2022 to indict Trump on various felonies, preventing him from running for president in 2024. But before Biden was in office, Schiff, as former House Intel Committee Chairman, accused Trump of colluding with the Russian Federation.
So as the Hill reports the story it’s from the angle of Trump’s retribution, not that Schiff played an unscrupulous role in Trump’s two impeachments, especially the one related to Trump asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to dig up dirt on Biden in the 2020 presidential campaign. How ironic that the Hill forgets quickly about all the Democrat accusations of Trump colluding with the Kremlin to win the 2016 presidential election. Hill only mentions FBI Director Kash Patel or Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi as doing Trump’s bidding to go after Schiff or, more recently, former FBI Director James Comey for lying to Congress. Comey was fired by Trump May 8, 2017 for leaking to the New York Times and Washington Post, generating untold numbers of fake news stories about Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin. Does the Hill forget about the Mueller investigation?
Fake news in broadcast and print have a vested interest in discrediting the Trump DOJ for malicious prosecution against Trump. Think about how many fake stories were leaked by Comey and Schiff to the press, writing stories that Trump worked with the Russian Federation. Schiff and other Democrats knew the Special Counsel Robert Mueller cleared Trump of any wrongdoing with Russia March 23, 2019 in his final report to Congress. How ironic that Schiff said he had his own intel against Trump but never produced any evidence to repudiate the Mueller report. Schiff and Comey got their evidence from former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton who claimed Trump colluded with Russia. When Schiff ran the House Intel Committee he persisted after Mueller’s report in accusing Trump of conspiring with the Russian federation to win the 2016 presidential election.
So Schiff took a lead role in Trump’s first impeachment trial but also contributed to his second impeachment trial for inciting an insurrection Jan. 6, 2021 on Capitol Hill. Schiff accused Trump on many occasions of organizing and planning the Jan. 6 insurrection. Schiff became an integral part of the House Jan. 6 Select Committee investigation of the insurrection. Schiff and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi both concluded after a `6-month investigation that Trump planned and organized the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. Trump denied instructing anyone to vandalize or engage in any violence yet Schiff and other Democrats on the Select Committee concluded without facts than Trump planned and organized the Jan. 6 riots. When the Committee disbanded Jan 6, 2013, the Committee transmitted to former Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland the need for a Special Counsel.
Special Counsel Jack Smith was appointed Nov. 18, 2022, over a year before the Jan. 6 House Select Committee disbanded. Smith proceeded to charge Trump with obstructing the Electoral College vote but never charged Trump with anything related to organizing or planning the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. If you listen to Schiff and Pelosi Trump was guilty of planning and organizing the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. Smith, who charged Trump with plenty of felonies, did not accuse him of starting the Jan. 6 riot. Smith knew the record that Trump was acquitted in the Senate Jan. 13, 2021, only a week before Biden’s inauguration. Yet if you asked Schiff, he had all the evidence against Trump, despite Mueller clearing Trump of any wrongdoing. Yet Democrat run newspapers like the Hill accuse the Trump DOJ of weaponization, the exact opposite of what really happened.
Democrats and their handpicked Special Counsel Jack Smith Accused Trump of multiple felonies in the run-up to the 2024 presidential campaign Democrats thought they could stop Trump from running if they indicted him on multiple felony charges. Smith charged Trump of illegally taking classified documents out of the White House and storing them at his Florida Mar- a-Lago estate. Smith eventually raided Trump’s home Aug. 8, 2022 seizing documents then charging him June 8, 2023 with multiple felonies. Democrats and the fake news thought they had Trump pegged as a criminal but wound up dropping the cases because Trump won the 2024 presidential election. So, when the Hill says Trump is on a retribution tour, what were Democrats and press doing over the last 10 years?
