LOS ANGELES (OC).–President Donald Trump, much to the glee of Democrats and the fake news, was snubbed by the Nobel Peace Prize committee for an award in 2025 for his work in ending conflicts around the globe. Trump helped settle conflicts between India and Pakistan, Congo and Rwanda, Thailand and Cambodia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Israel and Iran, Israel and Gaza and working hard to resolve the Ukraine War. For all that the Nobel Prize Committee opted to give the Peace Prize to Venezueala opposition leader Maria Corina Mashado who actually said he appreciates all of Trump efforts in Venezuela and elsewhere to promote peace. Democrats and the fake nws find many reasons to discredit Trump’s peacemaking track record, saying many of the conflicts would have resolved themselves on their own without Trump. Whether that’s true of not, it doesn’t mean Trump has not been a peacemaker.
When it comes to Trump’s predecessor former President Joe Biden, he started the U.S. proxy war in Ukraine against the Russian Federation. It took a lot of work for Trump to resolve conflicts around the globe but especially in the Gaza Strip where most people cry out for peace. Trump’s plan so far has worked out with Hamas with Trump planning to visit Egypt next Monday for a signing ceremony.”The Nobel Committee proved that they place politics over peace,” not recognizing Trump for his many accomplishments on the peace front. “He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of will,” said White House Spokesman Stephen Cheung. Trump said that the Nobel Committee will do what they do but his motive is not for the award but to save lives around the planet.
Trump’s nominations for the Peace Prize happened after the Feb. 1 deadline for the 2025 award, leaving him out of the running this year. Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) put Trump’s name into nomination for his work in 2020 on the Abraham Accords, bringing peace with Israel and its Arab Gulf States. Jergen Watne Frydnes, chair of the Nobel Committee, said there is intense lobbying every year with thousands of letters of support coming from various quarters. First awarded in 1901, Alfred Nobel created it to promote peace around the globe. Little did he know at the time the horrific wars of the 20th Century. Several U.S. presidents starting with Theodore Roosevelt and, more recently, Barack Obama have received the award. Democrats and the fake news make it out like Trump is desperate to receive the award, rather than more deserving based on existing conflicts he’s helped resolve.
When it comes to ending the Israeli-Gaza war, Democrats and the fake news could have a change of heart, since they’ve pleaded for an end to the conflict. Trump has worked with Qatar, Egypt, Turkey and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to bring about peace. Hamas has stubbornly resisted calls for its to step aside in Gaza, accept exile arrangements and allow an new Palestinian entity to run the new government. Only recently has a potential breakthrough taken place with Trump due to travel to Egypt Monday to sign the new treaty. If the Nobel Committee knew that new developments took place in Gaza, maybe the Nobel committee would have made an exception for Trump. Trump expressed pessimism that the committee would ever recognize his contributions to world peace. But maybe timing this time around had much to do with this year’s decision.
Trump has been more criticized for his domestic policy of deporting immigrants than anything he’s done in foreign policy. Democrats and the fake news accuse Trump of waging war on his own citizens, with his deportation largely focused on the Latino community, especially in the Southwest and Weat. Using Homeland Security and ICE to go after undocuments immigrants. ICE raids in Latino communities have disrupted communities that have lived in the United States for generations, whther or not they came to the country illegally. So when it comes to Peace Prize, the Latino community does not feel that Trump deserves a Peace Prize when he’s attacking ordinary Americans. Whatever the reasons, the Nobel committee overlooked Trump this time around. If Gaza gets settled, there’s no question the committee won’t ignore Trump much longer.
Whatever animus for Trump in the fake news, it’s a matter of time before Trump gets the recognition he deserves in the Nobel Committee. Trump won high praise from Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko who said Trump definitely deserved the prize. Lukashenko said it was “sheer stupidity” for the Nobel Committee to not pick Trump. Russian President Vladimir Putin was a more rreticent, telling reporters in Tajikistan today said it was not up to him to make those decisions but Trump deserved praise for pulling off a peace deal in Gaza. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Pakistan’s government thanked Trump for helping to resolve their conflicts. So, whatever didn’t happen this year, Trump is bound to eventually get the Peace Prize next year. If he helps resolve the Ukraine War, Trump would be a shoe in for next years’s selection.
