LOS ANGELES (OC).–Columbia University Law Professor Daniel Richman was subpoenaed last week in connection to the probe of 64-year-old former FBI Director James Comey. Federal prosecutors want to know whether or not Comey lied in his testimony before Congress. Richman admitted to his role of providing the New York Times unverified information constituting unauthorized leaks by Comey’s office related to his May 8, 2017 firing by President Donald Trump. Comey opened up a counterintelligence investigation of Trump in the 2016 presidential campaign, all to help former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton get elected. Comey played an outsized role in sabotaging Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign using Hillary’s paid opposition research AKA “The Steele Dossier” as probable cause to investigate Trump for alleged ties to the Russian Federation.
Department of Justice Prosecutors are looking into whether Comey perjured himself in his testimony to Congress. Richman met prosecutors in the Eastern District of Virginia. Richman said he showed content of memos written by Comey about his interactions with Trump, implicating him in potentially criminal behavior with respect to his probes of Trump. Comey was an integral part of the Obama administratin’s probe of Trump, started when the late Sen. John McCain (R-Az.), a political enemy of Trump, gave Hillary’s “Steele Dossier” to 69-year-old former CIA Director John Brennan who gave the dossier to Comey. Former President Barack Obama and then Vice President Joe Biden ordered former Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch to handle the probe into Trump and his 2016 campaign. Everyone involved knew the probe was based on fake probable cause.
When Trump fired Comey May 8, 2017, it set off a media frenzy that pushed the Justice Depatment into appointing former Deputy Atty. Gen. Rod Rosenstein to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Trump alleged ties to the Kremlin. Former Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions had recused himself in any matters related to the Russia collusion investigation. When Rosenstein appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as Special Counsel, Mueller knew from Day One that it was based on Hillary’s bogus “Steele Dossier.” With deep state prosecutors like Andrew Weissmann at the DOJ, he was all in on investigating Trump, despite knowing the probable cause was fabricated evidence. That didn’t stop Mueller and Weissman from spending $40 million and 22 months investigating Trump. Democrats put all their faith in Mueller to tie Trump to the Kremlin.
When Mueller came out with his final report March 23, 2019, it cleared Trump and his campaign of any wrongdoing. Democrats were devastated but did everything possible to spin Mueller’s report as inconclusive, especially Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Schiff insisted even after Mueller’s final report that he had evidence of Trump’s collusion with the Kremlin. Schiff never produced his “evidence” for anyone to see, insisting to this date that Trump was guilty of Russian collusion. That didn’t stop Mueller and Weissmann from continuing their probe. While Mueller faded into obscurity, Weissmann went on the anti-Trump circuit, parading himself on CNN and MSNBC, all to let Democrats know that Trump was actually guilty as charged. Weissmann eventually lost his appeal when Trump won the 2024 election.
Comey has never admitted to his ties to the Obama administration in working hard in 2016 to help Hillary get elected. Former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr and his deputy Atty. Gen. John Durham attempted a cursory probe into former Obama administration ties to the 2016 Russian probe. Barr and Durham only found one attorney, Kevin Clinesmith, that altered a document to cover up the investigation into former Trump foreign policy aid Carter Page. Trump accused Comey of leaking fake stories to the New York Times during his time as FBI Director during the 2016 campaign and after Trump was president. Why Comey’s firing was met with such shock by Dmeocrats and the fake news was anyone’s guess. Looks like Democrats had high hoped that Comey would eventually prosecute Trump. Trump was prosecuted eventually by another Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Comey looks guilty as sin when it comes with investigating Trump and his campaign for purely political reasons. Comey never acknowledged his deep ties to Brennan the highest levels of the Obama administration. Investigating Trumps 2016 political campaign was one of the most egregious abuse of federal intel and law enforcement agencies in U.S. history. Democrats and the fake news are committed to the cover-up, with Trump announcing yesterday that he’s suing the New York Times of $15 billion. How a respected newspaper could allow its editorial board and newsroom to be hijacked by the Democrat Party is anyone’s guess. As Trump lawsuit moves forward the New York Times more will come out tying the newspaper to the Democrat Party. Trump said that his lawsuit hope to restore integrity in journalism badly tarnished by years of biased reporting and fake stories.
