LOS ANGELES (OC),–FBI Director Kash Patel opened an investigation of former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey, both involved in 2016 in a counterintelligence investigation or President Donald Trump. Brennan, acting as nonpartisan CIA Director, received opposition research, AKA The Steele Dossier, from former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, claiming that Trump had worked with the Russians to win the 2016 presidential election. Actually, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Az.) obtained the Dossier from Hillary and gave it to Brennan in the summer of 2016. Brennan, in turn, gave the Dossier to Comey who opened up a counterintelligence investigation into Trump and his 2016 campaign. Neither Brennen nor Comey were ever investigated for using their agencies for political purposes, to sabotage Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Nothing happens in Washington without authorization, meaning the former President Barack Obama, his former Vice President Joe Biden and former Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch were all involved in authorizing the CIA and FBI to investigate the 2016 Trump campaign. Current CIA Diretor John Ratcliffe said the original assessment “was conducted through an atypical & corrupt process under the politically charged environments of former Dir. Brennan,” meaning that the probe initiated was without legal probable cause. Democrats and the U.S. press backed the probe, publishing stories tying Trump to the Kremlin, citing statements by Trump in the news and presidential debate to prove he used Putin to win the 2016 presidential election. Ratcliffe said that Brennan “risked stifling analytic debate” by “signaling that agency head had already reached consensus before the ICA was even coordinated,” Ratcliffe said.
Department of Justice officials said they would not comment on any ongoing investigation. “We do not comment on ongoing investigations,” said a Justice Department statement. Trump said he wasn’t aware of any probe but said that they were “very dishonest people.” Trump was assigned Special Counsel Robert Muller one week after he fired FBI Director James Comey May 8, 2017. Trump’s first Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions had recused himself at the time and let former Atty. Gen. Rod Rosenstein appoint Mueller as Special Counsel. So, during first two years of Trump’s presidency, he was under Special Counsel investigation pushed by Democrats and the press, all hoping that it would lead to Trump’s impeachment. When Mueller finished his investigation after 22-months and $40 million March 23, 2019, he acquitted Trump of any wrongdoing.
So, when it comes to Brennan and Comey getting investigated, they all knew at the time their investigations were built off the Steele Dossier, a completely discredited set of lies in Hillary’s opposition research. Christopher Steele, author of the Steele Dossier, admitted in a civil suit, he had no underlying proof of his claims, they had been deleted from his computer, including all testimony from anyone interviewed. So, when it came to using the Steele Dossier as probable cause for any criminal probe into Trump or his 2016, it didn’t follow usual and customary FBI guidelines. Comey said many times he used other sources to justify his counterintelligence investigation but never produced any documentation. Looking back on it now, it’s clear that the 2016 Comey counterintelligence investigation was ordered by Obama and Biden and used to sabotage Trump’s campaign.
Using Hillary’s opposition research designed to discredit the Trump campaign was an outrage in itself for any law enforcement agency. When Trump and other Republicans talk about the DOJ and FBI being weaponized under Obama, they refer directly to the investigations into Trump and his 2016 campaign. How could Department of Justice or FBI professional use Hillary’s fake dossier to go after a presidential candidate? Then, after he won the election, and fired Comey, the DOJ appointed a Special Counsel knowing the whole investigation from the start was without probable cause. Brennan “showed a preference for narrative consistency over analytical soundness,” Ratcliffe said about inconsistencies and falsehoods in the Steele Dossier. Comey outright denied that he used the Steele Dossier yet had no other facts or documents to justify a counterintelligence investigation.
During the two years after Mueller was appointed Special Counsel, the New York Times and Washington Post wrote countless articles substantiating claims from the Steele Dossier, all fabricated stories about Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin. Reported nightly on CNN and MSNBC, the reports made Trump look like a criminal, hoping Mueller would find Trump guilty of collusion with the Kremlin. When Mueller cleared Trump of any known wrongdoing, Democrats and fake news spent two years of fraudulent reporting Trump’s ties to the Kremlin. Even after cleared by Mueller, former Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), now senator, insisted he had his own evidence of Trump’s ties to the Kremlin. Brennan, Comey and many others deserve to be prosecuted for conducting an illegal witch hunt for political purposes against Trump. Trump’s investigation went all the way to Obama.
