LOS ANGELES (OC).–Rep. Josh Gotheimer (D-N.J.) and Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) proposed the Bunker Buster Act, lending Israel B-2 bombers should it be necessary in the future to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities. Why both Congressman think  it’s necessary to do that is anyone’s guess, given the current state of Iran’s nuclear enrichment programs after Israel spent 12-days bombing Iran with President Donald Trump authorizing the use of B-2 Stealth Bombers and GBU-47 bunker buster bombs.  Today’s uranium-making sites in Iran are out of commission for the foreseeable future. Whether or not Iran tries to reconstitute its nuke program in the future remains unknown at this point.  Trump said if Iran tries to build back he wouldn’t hesitate to send the B-2 Stealth bombing fleet in again.  Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei no longer wants war with Israel.

Gotheimer and Lawler want to “take actions to ensure Israel is prepared for all contingencies if Iran seeks to develop a nuclear weapon,” something not necessary now for two reasons. One, Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, according to U.S. IAEA Secretary-General Rafael Grossi, no longer can make weapons grade uranium and Two, that Israel has the conventional air power to strike Iran anywhere and anyplace.  Twelve days of war showed for the world to see Iran was defenseless against Israel aerial bombardments, having no defense to stop the kind to precision strikes that destroyed its military.  So, it’s not necessary for Israel’s national security to have B-2 Stealth Bombers in their arsenal.  Iran’s 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, to the extent he knows what’s happening, realizes that he wants no more war with Israel.

Iran’s power base built over the last 20 years involving Gaza’s Hamas terrorists, Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia and Yemen Houthi rebels are not a shell of protection it once was for the Ayatollah.  That leaves only Iran to fend for itself, something it did very poorly when it tried to fight Israel by firing 550 ballistic missiles into Israel, with 90% intercepted by Israel Iron Dome, only to get more sophisticated in the future.  So, when it comes to Israel’s national security, there’s no need at all for the U.S. to put B-2 Stealth Bombers in Israel because of Iran’s threat.  Iran no longer poses an existential threat, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu likes to call it, to Israel.  Netanyahu watched with amazement the lack of credible defense in Iran to Israeli air strikes.  Lawmakers like Gotheimer and Lawler need to catch up with new national security realities in Israel.

All the talk in the media is about Iran restarting its nuclear enrichment program again, with Trump arguing the program, for the time being, has been obliterated.  But the fake news is relentless in taking credit away from Trump on about everything, whether it’s recent trade deals and record highs on Wall Street or foreign military adventures.  Trump’s intervention in Iran, sending B-2 Stealth Bomber to his Iran’s Fordo and Isfahan nuke sites was the most daring, complex and challenging military intervention in U.S. history.  Trump pulled it off without a hitch, showing his prowess as commander-in-chief.  Democrats and the fake news won’t give him any credit, only hammering the idea that the strikes were unnecessary.  Well, judging by the results, the B-2 strikes certainly got the job done of neutralizing Iran’s nuke program for however long it takes to rebuild.

Iran announced today it was severing all ties with the IAEA, calling Secretary-General Rafael Grossi an Israel spy, subject to a fatwa for execution.  Grossi told Radio France that the Fordo plant was not operational with its centrifuges no longer working.  Why all the fake news spent the last two weeks discrediting Trump is now obvious.  Democrats don’t want Trump getting any of the credit for pulling off a brilliant military operation.  All the fake news polling centers around that Trump’s B-2 air strikes only set the nuke program back a couple of months.  All recent intel shows that program suffered, as Grossi said, far more damage.  Netanyahu plans to visit Trump this week perhaps announcing a long-awaited ceasefire deal in Gaza.  With Hamas refusing to get out, it’s doubtful that they can announce any ceasefire deal to end the nearly two-year war with Hamas.

Giving Israel B-2 Stealth Bombers would be unprecedented for the U.S. military who’s done everything since build the Top Secret Stealth Bomber project in the late 1980s.  Keeping America’s most close guarded secrets confidential even with close allies has its merits, considering that Trump is all-in on repeating the mission if necessary.  So, no matter how well-intentioned, it’s best to keep America’s B-2 Stealth Bombers proprietary, only available for future American use.  Netanyahu has plenty of firepower in the arsenal to defend Israel against anything Iran can do, knowing the inferior state of the Iranian military.  “This bill gives the President the authority to equip Israel with the tools and training they need to deter Tehran and make the world a safer place,” said Lawler.  While it all sounds logical, it’s best to keep America’s Top Secrets in house.
