LOS ANGELES (OC).–Prime Minister Benjamin Natanyahu, 75, fresh off his 12-day war with Iran, will visit the White House July 8 with President Donald Trump eyeing an end to the Gaza War. Netanyahu took on the big one with Iran, the Middle East’s chief state sponsor of terrorism.  Iran’s Ayatollah bluffed his way over the last 20 years intimidating former President Barack Obama into signing the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [JCPOA] AKA The Iranian Nuke deal.  When Trump took office in 2017, he promised to cancel the treaty, largely because Iran continued to sponsor terrorism with the billions of dollar given to the Ayatollah to pull off the deal.  While Obama and Democrats touted the agreement as a way to slow Iran pursuit of a nuclear bomb, the agreement did nothing, since there was no verification.  Trump realized this and cancelled the agreement May 8, 2018.

No one knew at the time that Iran had a feckless military, duped into believing it was the most fearsome military in the Middle East.  Obama and his European allies claimed that Iran could start a regional war that could engulf the Middle East, citing U.S. intel about Iran’s powerful military. It took another 10 years before Netanyahu put to rest any illusions about Iran military, with Israel spending 12 days bombing Iran’s military into oblivion while, simultaneously, going after its nuclear enrichment sites at Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.  When Trump stepped in with B-2 Stealth bomber strikes with GBU-57 bunker busing bombs, it all but finished off Iran’s nuke program for the foreseeable future.  Only partisan Democrats and the fake new dispute the amount of damage.  All reliable bomb damage assessment puts Iran’s nuke program out of commission.

When the U.S. military went into Iraq March 23, 2023, it didn’t take long for the great military of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to crumble like a clay pigeon.  No one knew much about Iran’s military other that watching Saddam battle Iran for 10 years in the 80s to stalemate.  That should have been the intel community’s clue that Iran had nothing special in its military, other than primitive ground war tactics.  Yet over the last 20 years the U.S. and world powers were intimidated of Iran until Israel took on the Persian military.  After 12-days of war, Israel learned that Iran had no air defenses, was utterly defenseless in its relentless bombing campaign leaving the Iranian military in shambles.  When the Trump intervened with U.S. B-2 strikes Iran put up no resistance at all.  U.S. Stealth Bombers hit all their targets, putting Iran’s nuke program back several years.

Returning to the White House, Netanyahu comes back as a hero, working with Trump hand-in-glove to pull off the most daring, complex and successful bombing mission in U.S. history.  Trump rides high from passing his Big Beautiful Bill, having defied the odds, but, for better or worse, got most what he wanted to keep the economy rolling, funding many of his top priority items like border security.  Trump wants Netanyahu to end the Gaza War, after nearly two years of war that decimated Iran’s Hamas terror organization, leaving it a shell of its former self.  Netanyahu knows that if he can take on Iran, he certainly has nothing long-term to worry about with Hamas.  Gaza continues to generate bad headlines for Israel because of 2.3 million Palestinian living in the rubble.  Trump would like to find a way to end the conflict by getting what’s left of Hamas out.

Trump told reporters “we think within the next week we’re going to get a ceasefire” in Gaza, but nothing concrete has happened yet. Hamas has stubbornly resisted Israel’s assault, with much of its senior leaderhip killed in the last two years. Only a handful of Hamas terrorists remain in Gaza’s military tunnels.  Trump has demanded that Hamas return what’s left of Israeli hostages and leave Gaza for good.  They haven’t heeded Trump’s calls, letting Netanyahu pursue the war as he sees fit.  “It’s heartbreaking to see the images that have come out from both Israel and Ga throughout this war, and the president wants to see it end,” said White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt. Netanyahu appreciates Trump speaking up loudly about his legal challenges, knowing exactly what’s that like.  Trump condemned Netanyahu’s prosecution as a “WITCH HUNT.”

Netanyahu comes to the White House to highlight to the American public the close alliance with Israel in the global fight against Islamic terror.  Israel’s 12-day war with Iran exposed the Islamic Republic’s feckless military, dispelling any false U.S. intel that saw Iran as a power military.  With its nuke program in shambles, whether or not it could be rebuilt, Iran no longer has the same aura, certainly not to Israel that’s more than capable to taking it on.  Trump already said he would hesitate in the future if Iran starts to rebuild its nuke program to go back for a second round of B-2 strikes.  “The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and is vital to U.S. national interests to assit Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability,” said the Defense Department.  Israel has never had a better friend in the White House than Trump.
