LOS ANGELES.–CNN’s Jake Tapper, 56, upended his cushy career at the liberal news network publishing his book, “Original Sin: President Biden’s decline, Its Cover-up and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” with co-author Axios reporter Alex Thomson. CNN’s fellow hosts, writers and staff are such died-in-the-wool Democrats that Tapper is no longer trusted or seen as an ally without questioning his loyalty to the cause. Tapper and Thomson got the inside scoop from many journalists and staffers that worked at news outlets and in the White House, assembling the inconvenient truth that Biden was not fit for years to serve as president or run for a second term. Tapper wanted to show his neutrality as a journalist presenting the facts as he’s collected them to demonstrate for posterity the way the White House and supporting press covered-up Biden’s undeniable cognitive decline.
Biden cognitive decline was raised in the 2020 campaign by President Donald Trump and was swiftly discredited as a GOP conspiracy theory. Biden wasn’t seen much in the 2020 campaign, attributed to caution during the Covid pandemic but Trump insisted it was because “Sleepy Joe” was cognitively challenged, unfit for commander-in-chief. Biden’s 2020 campaign was spliced together by him media handlers, putting out just enough pre-packed ads to get through get stealth campaign, using the Covid pandemic to stir enough doubt in voters to vote against Trump in Nov. 5, 2020. When the dust settled and Joe won a decisive victory over Trump, it spoke volumes about voters’ fears of dying from Covid, not certain Trump was the right person to lead the fight against the deadly virus. Whether Trump admits it or not, Joe’s 2020 campaign succeeded.
Tapper was one of the guilty parties at CNN disparaging any ideal that Joe was not fit more president let alone running for a second term. In recent interviews, Biden is so angry about Tapper’s book that he challenged him to a fight, marking another low-point in the political dialogue but also showing his dementia. Joe’s dementia was seen by 70 million voters June 27, 2024 debate actually hosted by CNN and moderated by Tapper and co-host 53-year-old senior political reporter Dana Bash. Tapper and Bash has a front row seat watching Biden act incoherently, incapable for forming logical responses to simple questions. All Trump had to do was comment on Biden’s lack of coherency, observed by everyone. Tapper felt inclined after the experience to writes a book exposing the White House and biased journalists for letting Biden fake his way through the presidency.
Tapper now deals with backlash from the liberal community, still mirroring the rubbish spewed by former First Lady Jill Biden, saying Tapper’s books was pure speculation because no one cited was part of Joe’s inner circle. If you listen to Jill, there’s nothing wrong with her husband, perfectly capable for meeting the rigors of the presidency during a second term. Enough Democrats saw the June 27 debate to know that Biden should not lead the Democrat Party for a second term. It took 64-year-old party donor-and-activist actor George Clooney to write his July 10, 2024 oped in the New York Times to admit the truth about Biden, that father time had caught up with him, no longer suitable for a second term. If the New York Times didn’t agree with Clooney they would have never printed his oped. One month later, Joe was hounded to quit the 2024 race.
Recent interviews on ABC News “The View” with Jill at his side continued the cover-up of his cognitive decline, despite showing clearly that he’s no able to answer simple questions. Only Jill thinks she can vouch for her husband’s competency, somehow convincing party loyalists that Joe was perfectly capable of a second term. Joe actually said speaking to “The View” that he could have beaten Trump, had the party not forced him out of the race. Now Joe said May 30 he wants to fight Tapper and co-author Thomson. If that doesn’t close all doubt about Joe’s impaired judgment, then what does? Tapper’s book was really an expose on presidential power when the commander-in-chief is no longer fit to discharge duties to his office. Tapper questions the price people are willing to pay to win at all costs, even with a disabled president no longer fit for duty.
Tapper has opened up a Pandora’s Box for himself, no longer suitable to work for the Democrat-biased CNN news outlet. Tapper makes about $7 million a year, no doubt a low salary in today’s market with his journalistic skill set. No one at CNN can again trust Tapper to deliver his hard-hitting, nonpartisan brand of journalism, questioning whether he can continue at CNN. Tapper could easily jump ship to Fox New where he’d have a much bigger audience than domestic CNN that struggles with low overnight ratings compared to Fox News. Tapper now finds himself in the PR maze promoting his book, at the same time, knowing he’s no longer viewed the same way by CNN’s Democrat audience. If Tapper’s book “Original Sin” says anything, it’s that he no longer fits in to CNN’s Democrat-biased reporting. Tapper could be looking for a new job soon.
