LOS ANGELES.–Iran’s 85-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei slammed 78-year-old President Donald Trump for “lying” about seeking peace in the Middle East. Khamenei blasted Trump for supplying Israel with “10-ton bombs to the Zionist [Israeli] regime to drop on the heads of Gaza’s children,” the Ayatollah said, showing he still slings propaganda at his ripe old age. Trump intervened with Iran’s nuke program serving notice to the Ayatollah that if he didn’t make a deal he would face more crippling economic sanctions or, worse yet, the U.S. military. Ayatollah always panders to the anti-Semitic crowd, knowing that it’s Hamas and Hezbollah proxy terror groups have been neutralized by Israel over the last year-and-a-half. Khamenei has been funding anti-Semitic proxy groups to attack Israel, including Yemen’s Houthi rebels, Gaza’s Hamas terrorists and Lebanon’s Shiite Hezbollah militia.
Trump told reporters on Air Force One that if the Ayatollah didn’t take his peace proposal seriously, Iran would face serious consequences, either economic or military. Trump cancelled former President Barack Obama’s Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [JCPOA] May 8, 2018 attempting to limit Iran’s uranium enrichment in exchange for reducing sanctions and unfreezing billions in Iranian assets. Since then, the Ayatollah has been enriching uranium to 60%, right below bomb-making material. Commenting on Trump’s speech in Saudi Arabia, Khamenei said Trump’s remarks “aren’t even worth responding to, calling Trump’s remarks an “embarrassment to the speaker and the American people,” Khamenei said bound to elicit a reaction from Trump. Trump is trying to spare Iran the indignity of a U.S. military attack to neutralize the U-235 enrichment program.
Khamenei cleverly shifted to his favorite topic of attacking Israel for all the trouble in the Middle East. “Undoubtedly, the source of corruption, war, and conflict in the region is the Zionist regime—a dangerous, deadly cancerous tumor that must be uprooted, it will be uprooted,” Khamenei told a religious center in Tehran. Ayatollah diverts attention away from his state-sponsored terrorism, using Houthis, Hamas and Hezbollah to terrorize the Mideast. Khamenei is too old to realize that Muslim state have moved on from his Nazi-like anti-Semitic rhetoric. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to bomb Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities. U.S. fake news claims Trump and Netanyahu are at odds with each other over how to deal with Iran. Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said Trump talks through both sides of his mouth saying he wants peace but threatening Iran with military action.
Iran claims that Trump is bullying Iran into modifying its nuclear enrichment program. “Which should we believe,” asked Pezeshkian. “On the one hand, he speaks of peace and on the other, he threatens with the most advanced tools of mass killing,” not realizing the Iran brings it on itself. Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff discussed a plan where Iran could continue enriching uranium while selling its fissile material to the United States. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Iran would not give up, under any circumstances, its uranium enrichment program. But Witkoff’s suggesting that with U.N.’s IAEA weapons inspectors, the U.S. could purchase Iran enriched uranium for use in the next generation of carbon-free nuclear power plants. Trump uses Netanyahu as a foil, saying he wants to bomb Iran’s enrichment facilities rather than cut a deal to buy Iran’s fissile material.
Ayatollah Kkamenei is so over hill, so unfit for office, he should have found a younger successor but holds onto power to perpetuate mullah rule. Khamenei could easily get Iran into an existential war with his hubris and insults. Trump means business when it comes to stopping Iran from building a nuclear bomb. Ayatollah doesn’t remember what happened to Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein when he defied demands from former President George W. Bush to let U.N. weapons inspectors prove he didn’t have weapons of mass destruction. “It is absolutely unacceptable that American repeatedly defines a new framework for negotiations that prolongs the process,” Araqchi said. “Because we refuse to bow to bullying, they say we’re are source of instability in the region,” refusing to recognize the role Iran plays in sponsoring terrorism in Yemen, Gaza and Lebanon.
Ayatollah Khamenei is on thin ice publicly insulting Trump, knowing he doesn’t have any options other than to make a deal with Trump on his nuclear enrichment program. Since Iran doesn’t need to enrich uranium beyond 5% for nuclear fuel rods, the Ayatollah as a perfect opportunity to sell his uranium to the U.S. Iran feels picked on by Trump, all because they’ve ignored the old JCPOA which limited Tehran to 3.67% enrichment, enough to run most nuclear reactors. Trump wants the Ayatollah to come to his senses and cut a deal before Netanyahu bombs Iran’s nuclear enrichment sites. Trump hasn’t been bullying Iran he’s been offering a constructive way out to the collision course to war. Instead of insulting Trump publicly, the Ayatollah should take Trump’s nuke proposal seriously to benefit Iran when it could ill-afford another foreign war.
