LOS ANGELES.–Former President Joe Biden, 82, and his 73-year-old wife Jill hired former communication aid Chris Meagher to conduct a damage control, rehab campaign to save his legacy as president, now discredited because of his cognitive impairments. Meagher said Biden was old in the a 2024 presidential campaign but he wasn’t demented, defying the eyes-and-ears, of all 70 million, that saw him debate 78-year-old President Donald Trump June 27 in an ABC News presidential debate. No one can figure out why the Biden reelection team agreed to debate Trump some four months before the normal scheduled debates usually happening in Sept. and Oct. Joe’s wife Jill told ABC News “The View” that none of the people writing books about Joe were in the White House, could possibly know Joe’e mental state. Well everyone watching the June 27 debate saw firsthand Joe’s undeniable cognitive decline.
When Joe dropped out of the presidential race July 24, 2024, he said he did so for party unity, denying there was anything wrong with him. But since former Special Counsel Robert Hur released his final report Feb 8, 2024, Joe was exposed. Hur investigated Biden for possessing classified documents at various locations, concluding that Biden was not fit to stand trial due to severe memory impairments, so he dropped the case. Biden campaign officials, Democrats on Capital Hill and the fake news went wild, slamming Hur to daring to say such things. Well, it turns out the entire Biden White House was covering up Biden’s cognitive impairments for years, as far back as the 2020 presidential campaign. Biden was kept away from the press, giving as few press conferences as possible during the 2020 campaign but also during his four years in office.
Trump said repeatedly in the 2020 campaign that Biden was not cognitively fit for president. Biden’s campaign team dismissed it as a right wing conspiracy, prompting denials from Democrats, like former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and others. Then came all the books about the disastrous 2024 campaign that watched Biden drop out July 24 after weeks of cajoling by party elders. Biden told ABC News “The View” May 8 that he dropped out for party unity not because he had any cognitive impairment. Former NBC News “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd said Biden prioritized himself over the Democrat Party, reluctant to drop out to give Vice President Kamala Harris enough time. He told “The View” that had he stayed in the race he would have beaten Trump, insulting Kamala. Though Kamala blames her loss to Trump on not having enough time.
Polls showed in June and July 2024 that Joe ran far behind Trump in a head-to-head matchup, prompting party officials like former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to get Joe out of the race. “If you’re a party man, you worry about your party before yourself,” Todd said to Leland Vittert on NewsNation. “They feel personally attacked by these books. . . and I agree [going on TV to defend themselves is] not going to help them, but it’s the ‘now they tell us’ syndrome,” Todd said. Yet Chris Meagher takes money from the Bidens thinking they can buffalo the public into thinking that there’s nothing wrong with Joe, he was perfectly ready for a second term. Biden’s PR campaign to rehab his tainted legacy has made things worse, with Democrat official cringing watching the dog-and-pony show on national TV.
When actor, Democrat Party activist and donor George Clooney wrote his July 2, 2024 oped in the New York Times saying Joe was not fit to run for a second term, was not blaming his June 27, 2024 performance on his age? Clooney was very clear that he saw a big decline in Biden’s mental functioning. Because the New York Times published his oped, it’s clear that their editorial board agreed with the contents of the oped. “I only dropped out because I didn’t want to have a divided Democratic Party,” Biden told “The View.” Going on national TV to gaslight the public about Joe’s cognitive state only makes his legacy worse, leading to more people seeing how he’s covering-up his age-related cognitive decline. Obama and Pelosi took no pleasure in pressuring Joe to get out the race. It was not for Party unity, it was because he was not fit to run for a second term.
Watching the Bidens’ make fools out of themselves on the most pro-Democrats partisan news network imaginable shows the degree of desperation to save Joe’s legacy. Beyond that, how can a respected Hollywood talent agency CAA possibly sign Biden? Who’s supposed to go listen to him give speeches at this point? “It’s almost safe to trash the Biden’s now,” Todd said. “and it is like, where were you a year ago?” meaning everyone saw Joe’s fitness to serve another four years debating Trump on ABC. Trump sat back in the debate and was just as surprised as everyone with Biden’s disaster-in-the-making. Biden’s legacy would be helped by quietly retreating from public life and letting historians make up all the stories. Listening to him again reminds everyone why he was pushed out of the 2024 race. PR only goes so far when it lacks plausible deniability.
