LOS ANGELES.–Interviewing 78-year-old Donald Trump for his first 100 days, ABC News gave correspondent Terry Moran the job, after Trump refused interviews by David Muir and George Stephanopoulos, both had past run-ins with Trump. Trump knew, no matter who interviewed him, they would hammer him with Democrat talking points with last night’s 100-day interview no exception. Moran tried to bait Trump on several occasions, prompting Trump to tell Moran he wasn’t being “nice.” But Trump knew, just like the Sept. 27, 2024 ABC News debate with 60-year-old former Vice President Kamala Harris, that the question would be all skewed against him. When Trump debated Kamala, David Muir made sure that Trump looked like a dictator waiting to get “retribution” on his enemies. Moran tried to do the same thing, with Trump putting the question back on Moran.
When Moran asked whether Trump was overstepping his power by disciplining or firing former Department of Justice Officials, Trump asked Moran if he got due process with his multiple prosecutions during the 2024 campaign. If you listened to ABC News, Trump was a convicted felon running for president, a simple narrative straight out of Kamala’s playbook. But when you look at all of Trump’s charges and prosecutions by government officials, it was clear that Trump was the victim of malicious prosecution the FBI and Department of Justice. Moran didn’t respond to Trump’s complaints only repeated his Democrat talking points that he was on a retribution tour now as president. Moran asked Trump if he trusted Russian President Vladimir Putin after saying last week he didn’t know whether Putin was “tapping him along” while promising to sign a Ukraine ceasefire and peace deal.
Moran didn’t acknowledge Trump’s difficult task of peacemaking with Putin, asking Trump whether or not he trusted him. “I don’t trust you. I don’t trust a lot of people,” Trump told Moran. “I don’t trust you. Look at you. You’re so happy to do this interview, and then you start hitting me with these fake questions,” Trump said to Moran. Trump responded to the robotic way Trump Moran stuck to his Democrat script, refusing to engage with Trump on a personal level, a kind of degrading exhibition of crass political sabotage. Moran showed why the fake news is so dangerous to the First Amendment because it’s clear that he was campaigning no different than the 2024 campaign. Moran was dumbfounded when Trump attacked former President Joe Biden for being grossly incompetent yet protected by the fake news, covering up his cognitive disabilities.
Moran’s inability to go off script and just relate to Trump as a person shows that kind of contempt at play at ABC News. For the fake news, any opportunity to interview Trump is about to score political points hoping by the time the 2026 Midterm elections rolls around Democrats can take back the House and Senate. Moran was an errand boy, doing the bidding of the Democrat Party trying to recover from its crushing loss to Trump Nov. 5, 2024. “We had a president that was grossly incompetent,” Trump told Moran. You knew it. Everybody knew it. You guys didn’t want to writes about because you’re fake news,” Trump said, meaning ABC News’s only agenda was to score political points. “By the way, ABC is one of the worst. I have to honest with you,” Trump said to Moran, watching him squirm. Moran knows that Trump was telling the truth about his employer.
Moran’s interview on ABC News showed the extremes the network goes through to damage Trump politically but not to disseminate factual information. All Moran wanted to talk about with the border was not Biden’s incompetence but how Trump was violating the U.S. Constitution and rule of law to deal with illegal aliens, criminals or not. Trump’s response to Moran was mild compared to where it could have gone. When Moran kept talking about due process, Trump put it back on him, asking Moran whether it was due process to let millions of illegal aliens to flood across the U.S. border? Moran had no response other than to return to his talking points that Trump was not giving illegal aliens due process before deporting them. Trump told Moran that he followed what his lawyers tell him to do when it comes to due process. Moran kept implying that Trump was breaking the law.
ABC News revealed for all to see why the fake news is killing American journalism, choosing to let politics interfere in its news reporting. Moran’s interview was a disgraceful reminder of how low the fake news goes to attack Trump politically, already looking ahead to the next chance to get Democrats elected in the 2026 Midterm election. Instead of giving an honest inventory to the public about all the work done by the Trump White House to deliver on campaign promises, Moran tried every way possible to make Trump look bad. Moran followed the same script as Kamala’s 2024 campaign accusing Trump of authoritarian, dictatorial rule. At no time did Moran relate to Trump as a person to get his side of the story. Moran had his Democrat agenda to discredit Trump and followed it religiously. Moran was latest fake news journalist to get exposed.
