LOS ANGELES.–Ukraine’s 47-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky asked his fellow citizens to not give up on eventual peace in Ukraine but to keep up the faith during 2,152 days of war.  Zelensky wants more patience from the Ukrainian people, not knowing the extent of Ukraine’s losses during over three years of war with the Kremlin. Ukrainians don’t even know the falling out Zelensky has had with 78-year-old President Donald Trump.  Zelensky’s erratic Feb. 28 meeting with Trump and 40-year-old Vice President J.D. Vance has all been erased from the history books, now asking Ukrainians to exercise patience waiting for peace to come to Ukraine.  No one in Ukraine knows the heroic efforts Trump has undertaken to get a ceasefire and peace deal in Ukraine, not knowing that Zelensky sabotaged Trump peace efforts, stabbing Trump in the back to the European Union.

No, Zelensky keeps the Ukrainian people in the dark, only telling them it his daily video pep talk that Ukraine continues to make progress in the over three-year-old war. Appearing in from of Kiev’s Saint Sophia Cathedral on Easter Sunday, Zelensky videotaped his message that Ukraine never loses faith.  No one in Ukraine knows how they are subjected to Zelensky daily brainwashing, giving them false hopes for a military solution for the war.  “Because of this faith in each other,” Zelensky said, knowing that things have gone badly for Ukraine over three years of war with the Kremlin. Zelensky has lost 25% of Ukraine’s best sovereign territory, now losing Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea.  Had Zelensky settled with Putin in 2022, he would have kept Kherson and Zaporizhzhia but now lost both those provinces fighting the Kremlin over the last three years.

Zelensky fears that if the Ukrainian people learned the truth about losses of Ukraine’s best sovereign territory, he would face a coup d’etat.  “In those who stand next to you, in Ukrainian men in Ukrainian women.  Faith that evil may have its hour but God will have his day,” sounding holy for Easter Sunday, knowing he’s of the Jewish faith.  Zelensky asks Ukrainians for patriotism, a promise to keep fighting the evil Russian Federation.  Thousands of young Ukrainian soldiers have lost their lives for the cause, leaving Ukraine with too little soldiers left to prosecute the war with Russia.  Yet Zelensky keeps asking Ukrainians for patriotic faith in defeating the evil Russian Federation.  Many Russian speaking Ukrainians hope for a Russian victory to live independently of the Kiev government.  Zelensky wants no part of a peace deal unless it’s on his terms.

Zelensky’s terms for a peace deal have been unrealistic since Day One.  He rejected every peace plan put forward by several respected countries including China, Brazil and South Africa. Zelesnky sees every peace proposal as favoring Russia because they all call for Zelensky to trade land-for-peace.  Putin told U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff last week what would have to happen before he declares a ceasefire and peace talks. Zelensky would have to cede five Ukrainian territories to Russia and agree to remain neutral, never join NATO.  NATO has not offered Ukraine membership for obvious reasons.  No one in NATO wants to fight the Russian Federation. Beyond that, Ukraine does not meet NATO’s democracy standards, but, more importantly, its fiscal responsibility.  Because of the three-year-old conflict, Kiev is essentially bankrupt, dependent on U.S. government largess.

Zelensksy said Putin offered only a fake ceasefire for Easter, saying Ukraine was hit with more Russia strikes.  “We know what we are defending.  We know what we are fighting for.  For whom and for whose sake,” Zelensky said, making no sense at all.  Ukrainians know they’re fighting for democracy?  For freedom or to keep Zelensky in power by taking enough cash-and-arms from the U.S. and European Union to keep the war going indefinitely.  Since Trump came to office proposing peace, Zelensky has done nothing but complain, insisting that Trump was selling Ukraine with Russia down the river.  Trump explained emphatically to Zelenskyt hat he was saving Ukraine from more certain destruction, carnage and loss of sovereign territory.  What does Zelensky really think Ukraine fight for against the Russian Federation, to destroy his country?

Zelensky doesn’t want to end the war and admit he’s lost 25% of Ukraine’s best sovereign territory, fearing a coup d’etat.  All the quasi-religious talk on Easter obscures his losses in three years of war with the Kremlin, something he refuses to admit to the Ukrainian people.  Every daily video message talks about Ukraine’s victories over the Russian occupiers.  “The day of life will come.  The day of peace.  The day of Ukraine.  A day that lasts a century. And we will be able to gather together again.  At one table.  On a peaceful Easter,” Zelensky told the Ukrainian people.  Exploiting religious Christians to advance his failed war strategu against the Kremlin doesn’t nothing for a time of peace. Zelensky strategy asks Ukrainians to sacrifice more death-and-destruction under the misguided notion that God will somehow save them from the Russian Federation.
