LOS ANGELES.–President Donald Trump, 78, continues to go after CBS “60 Minutes” for doctoring a transcript of an interview with 60-year-old former Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 campaign. Reviewing the transcript, CBS News editors did everything possible to make Kamala look more coherent when she was often described during the campaign as making “word salad.” Trump sued CBS News for $60 billion. Trump’s lawsuit with CBS is in the process of settling, where the media industry urged the network to never settle with Trump’s attorneys. CBS Parent Company Paramount Global Board Chairman Shari Redstone, wife of the founder Sumner Redstone, wants to settle the suit with Trump to merge the company with Skydance Media, something due to happen in 2025. Paramount has agreed to mediation with Trump to settle his $60 billion lawsuit.
Trump wants to hold CBS News feet to the fire for using its news network to go after Trump and his MAGA movement. There’s no a day that goes by when CBS News doesn’t have something negative to say about Trump. “Almost every week, 60 Minutes . . . mentions the name Trump in a derogatory and defamatory way, this Weekend’s ‘BROADCAST’ tops them all,” Tump said on his Truth Social platform. Trump’s lawsuit with CBS is the tip of the iceberg in the fake news business that goes after Trump with a vengeance at every opportunity. When it comes to the current news cycle, CBS News accused Trump of violating the Constitution to go after illegal alien criminals now being shipped off to CECOT supermax prison in El Salvador. CBS reported that Trump wants to send Americans to the terrorist detention facility because they disagree with his foreign policy.
Trump wants FCC Chairman Brendan Carr to investigate CBS News for egregious bias in reporting on his administration. Carr is looking into the doctored CBS News transcript designed to make Kamala look good in the 2024 campaign. CBS Senior Editor Alain Sherter refused to apologize for the CBS News team doing its job of making transcripts more streamlined, rejecting the idea that it was done deliberately to make Kamala look good. “60 Minute” Scott Pelley has gone to Ukraine to interview Zelensky about the Ukraine War. CBS News has made Trump’s decision to restore normal U.S.-Russian relations about capitulating to Russian disinformation. Zelensky has accused Trump of living inside a Russian disinformation bubble, distorting his views of the Kremlin. Zelensky can’t fathom that Trump would try to make peace with a hated war criminal like Putin.
Whatever Carr finds, it doesn’t look good for CBS, just the mere presence of the president’s lawsuit against CBS News makes the network look guilty. CBS News attorneys are meeting with Trump’s lawyers to settle the case at the earliest possible time, giving that Redstone wants to merge Paramount Global with Skydance Productions. CBS News and other fake new outlets have doubled down since Trump because president. During the 2024 campaign, all major news outlets pushed hard to get Kamala elected president. When the fake news pushed harder for Kamala, voters pushed back against the press. Zelensky said recently he has “100 hatred from Russian President Vladimir Putn for the invasion of Ukraine, and invited Trump to visit his country to see what has been done,” Zelensky said. No one doubts Zelensky’s hatred of Putin, blinding him to do the right thing.
Zelensky is long overdue trying to get over his own personal vendetta that has only made matters worse for Ukraine. Trump has done everything to work toward a fair-and-lasting peace deal with Putin, only to find out that Zelensky wants to continue the war, only to have the EU replace the U.S. to fund proxy war with the Kremlin. When it comes to CBS News media coverage, they always take Zelensky’s side, urging Ukraine to keep fighting it out on the battlefield with Putin. Trump wants CBS News as a precedent case of egregious media bias, something that’s drained the U.S. Treasury and made peace impossible. Why does Zelensky admit publicly his hatred of Putin? What do those admissions do for Ukraine’s efforts to end the war and return to a productive econom?. Trump sees CBS and the fake news doing everything to sabotage his peace talks with Putin.
