LOS ANGELES.–Ukraine’s 47-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky showed more signs that he’s cracking under pressure now that 78-year-old President Donald Trump has become president.  Accusing 55-year-old former Fox News journalist Tucker Carlson of spreading 72-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin’s talking points, Zelensky sounds irrational.  Carlson met with Putin Feb. 12, 2024, covering a wide range of topics including the Ukraine War.  Carlson wanted to know what, if anything, could be done to end the war, while 82-year-old President Joe Bidenwaged proxy war in Ukraine with the Kremlin.  Tucker also talked with Putin for humanitarian purposes of releasing 33-year-old Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich.  But Zelensky has succumbed to the pressure realizing the days of U.S. involvement in the war are nearing an end with Trump looking to summit with Putin sometime soon.

If Zelensky knows anything about Carlson, he does no one’s bidding, truly his own man, bucking the system at Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News empire.  So, for Zelensky to accuse Carlson of spewing Russian talking point it’s utterly outrageous, when Carlson kowtows to no one.  “It seems to me that to this journalist, I do not remember his surname.  Excuse me, Tucker. Yes, Tucker, his name, but it seems to me he needs to more deeply understand what’s happening in Ukraine,” Zelensky told BBC’s Piers Morgan.  “Just stop working for [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” Zelensky said.  Picking on Tucker Carlson shows how far gone Zelensky finds himself, knowing that Trump is about to end the war without his consent.  Carlson knows perfectly well what’s going on Ukraine:  Zelensky lost his war with the Kremlin.  Coming up on three years of war, Zelensky has failed.

Zelensky has done everything possible to gaslight Congress and his people about the outcome of war with the Kremlin.  Former President Joe Biden encouraged Zelensky to take on the Kremlin with U.S. cash-and-weapons, spending billions from the U.S. Treasury to fund the bankrupt Kiev government and the war.  But three years of war has killed untold thousands of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, driven millions more into exile, destroyed much of Ukraine’s infrastructure and lost 25% of Ukraine’s best Black Sea territory.  So when Zelensky says Tucker Carlson should come to Ukraine, he already knows the true story of what’s happening, as does Trump.  Trump wants the war to end because he sees the continued disaster for Ukraine with no end in sight to the conflict.  Zelensky would keep the war going indefinitely, collecting billions more from the U.S. Treasury.

Carlson said Ukraine is not a democracy, something that irked Zelensky because he know that it’s true.  Zelensky pretends Ukraine is a democracy for the purpose of getting more U.S. and EU cash to fund his proxy war with the Kremlin.  Zelensky, a former TV comic, has no experience, knowledge or training in democracy to lecture Tucker Carlson on what reforms under martial law he’s proposed in Ukraine.  “When he simply says something, you know, just throwing the words,” Zelensky said.  “Has he for one time in lifetime lost his close ones?  I wish to his family, I do not know his family. I wish them peace and no losses, but one must hav his own opinion and understand that he probably influences many people.  He’s simply disinforming them, misinforming the people,” Zelensky said.  Zelensky overreacted to Tucker saying that Ukraine is not a democracy.

NATO has told Zelensky that he doesn’t meet the criteria for membership in terms of its current war with Russia, lack of democracy, and, importantly, that his government is not fiscally solvent, all necessary for NATO membership.  Blaming Tucker Carlson is sadly mistaken for Zelensky, who knows that Trump agrees with everything Carlson says. Trump has commented recently how clever Zelensky has been able to squeeze around $200 billion from the U.S. under the false narrative that Ukraine was preventing Putin from taking over more European countries. Zelensky has no facts, evidence or proof that Putin wants anymore than new security arrangement for Ukraine, like he’s said all along.  He offered Zelensky peace in March 2022, less than a month into the war, if he recognized Russian sovereignty over Crimea and accepted independence in Donetsk and Luhansk.

Zelensky gambled badly with Ukraine’s sovereignty and got burned going to war with the Russian Federation.  Trump said Zelensky should have never gone to war with the Kremlin, a far bigger and more powerful fighting force than Ukraine. New battlefield reports by the Associated Press [AP] indicate that Ukraine no longer has the personnel and resources to continue battling the Kremlin.  Yet Zelensky acts like he’s just getting started, asking the U.S. and NATO for more time, more patience.  Trump has lost his patience years ago knowing that Biden’s war strategy has done nothing but destroy Ukraine and its people.  Russian troops were in Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansky before the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion, and will now stay in Ukraine for the indefinite future.  Zelensky gambled with Ukraine’s sovereignty and lost the war. Now he must confess his losses to the Ukrainian people.
