LOS ANGELES.–Accusing 78-year-old President Donald Trump of breaking campaign promises, the fake news says Trump hasn’t delivered on a key campaign promise to lower egg prices in the United States. Fake news is epitomized by former President Bill Clinton’s strategist 80-year-old James Carville who seeks publicity anywhere he can get it. Appearing on NewsNation with former CNN host Chris Cuomo, Carville said the voters should judge Trump by failing to live up to his campaign promise to lower egg prices. Beyond laughable, Cuomo lets Carville ramble like a madman trying to score points with the Democrat base. “Chris, remember the No. 1 promise that Trump made, which he was going to do something about high grocery prices, specifically eggs,” Carville told Cuomo. You’d think Cuomo would remind Carville that Trump has been in office eight days, hardly enough time to fix egg prices.
Democrats and the fake news are consumed by the sensational confirmation hearings where Democrat Senators get a new opportunity to litigate the 2024 presidential election. If you listen to all the objections raised by Democrats for Trump’s nominees, you’d think the 2024 election was still going on. Democrats new strategy is slamming Trump for not delivering on campaign promises, eight days into the presidency. Carville told Cuomo the Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and 20 others ripped Trump in a letter Sunday for focusing on “mass deportations and pardoning Jan. 6 attackers,” instead of food prices, reported by Trump-hating NBC News. So, Democrats new strategy spoken by Carville is that Trump breaks campaign promises eight days into office.
Carville, Democrats and the fake news know that an epidemic of bird flu has contaminated the U.S. egg supply leading to the outrageous rise in prices, now about $12 a dozen. Egg prices in Canada, not affected by bird flu, are about $3 a dozen, slightly lower than pre-bird flu U.S. egg prices. But for Democrats and the fake news to criticize Trump for not delivering on campaign promises is no strategy for the future. Democrats think their job today is discrediting Trump anyway possible before next year’s Midterm election. Judging by the current insane strategy, Republicans should pick up more seats in the House or Senate. No rational person can blame Trump for egg or grocery prices when he’s only been in office for eight days. Most voters seem satisfied with Trump as measured by his aggregate approval ratings now at 51.3%, high by today’s standards.
Remember when Biden left office his approval rating was 39%, the lowest on record. So when it comes to Trump at 51.3%, that’s actually not bad considering how divided the country. “That’s not what he said he said in the election” that he would fix egg and grocery prices. Voters know that it will take time to tame inflation primarily triggered by Biden’s Ukraine War and Russian oil embargo, causing energy prices to spike in the U.S. and around the globe. If Trump meets with Russian President sometime soon, that would go a long way in reversing the inflationary cycle that has forced Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell and his Federal Open Market Committee to keep the Federal Funds rate steady at today’s meeting. Economists hoped that Powell would continue slashing rates at least by 25 basis points but strong jobs report gave him reason to pause on lowering rates.
Carville wants Democrats and the press to focus on Trump breaking campaign promises, even if he’s been in office only eight days. “So he says Greenland, Panama Canal, Canada, the Gulf of America or whatever insane stuff he says, and we shouldn’t get distracted by that,” Carville said, conflating Trump current issues with egg and grocery prices. “Your No. 1 thing was you were going to do something about high grocery prices,” Carville insisted, showing why he’s no longer taken seriously except by the Trump-hating fake news. Like other Trump haters, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.) or his former personal Atty. Michael Cohen, they’re gladly embraced on the fake news because they’re willing to make off-the-wall comments attacking Trump. Carville shows why he’s a has-been in Democrat circles, only a tool used by the fake news to slam Trump.
Trump has a real plan to reverse inflation and bring down egg and grocery prices. Unlike former 60-year-old Democrat nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump wants to end the Ukraine War at the earliest possible time. Kamala promised to keep Biden’s proxy war in Ukraine with the Kremlin going indefinitely. Trump foreign policy team led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio are busy trying to arrange a meeting between Trump and Putin to end the war. Once Trump strikes a deal to end the war and return to normal diplomatic relations with the Kremlin, energy markets once again will be flooded with Russian oil. Transportation or deliver costs will drop dramatically, trickling down to egg and grocery prices. When it comes to eggs, dairy farmers will have to deal with current bird flu outbreak causing today’s price hikes. But at least Trump is on top of things.
