LOS ANGELES.–Ukraine’s 47-year-old President Volodymer Zelensky has begun using the SBU security service to round up traitors in Kiev and around the country, more evidence that he’s cracking now that 78-year-old President Donald Trump was sworn in today.  Trump inauguration spells the eventual end of the Ukraine War and the billions in U.S. cash-and-arms given to Zelensky by former President Joe Biden.  Zelensky has made more excuses under the sun why the Ukraine War benefits the United States and European Union, all of which blame 72-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin for seeking to take over Europe.  Zelensy has told the EU that Ukraine’s War with Russia defends European democracy, a preposterous statement when you consider Ukraine has been battered by three years of war into the Stone Age.  Ukraine can’t defend itself let alone the EU.

Announcing that he’s rounding up traitors around the country indicates that his worst nightmare has been realized with Trump becoming president.  Trump has promised everyone he would end the war with a political settlement with Putin, with Zelensky forced to go along.  If you listen to Zelensky, he wants to continue the war indefinitely, promising, if given enough cash and weapons, he would drive Russia from Ukraine.  But three years of war have only watched Ukraine destroy its infrastructure, lose untold numbers of soldiers and civilians and lose more prime sovereign land around the Black Sea coast.  Zelensky has fulfilled none of his promises he’s made to the Ukrainian people or to Biden that he would eventually defeat the Russian Federation.  Zelensky has been losing more ground to Russia daily, making Trump’s peace plans all the more difficult.

When Zelensky talks about traitors, he’s referring to growing numbers of Ukrainian disgusted by his rule that has only brought more misery on Ukraine. “Today, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have also performed very well, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation, the National Police, and our Prosecutor’s office,” Zelensky said, not specifying where he focuses his investigations.  Zelensky should look no further than Kiev’s mayor’s office, run by Vitali Klitschko, once heavyweight boxing champion.  Klitscho has expressed his frustrations with how the three-year long war with the Kremlin has gone, with Ukraine losing some 25% of its sovereign territory.  Zelensky demands that Putin pull all his troops out of Ukraine, surrendering the Crimean Peninsula and all over territory back to the Kiev government.

Zelensky knows the rules of war after opting Feb. 24, 2022 to go to war with the Kremlin, rather than settle the conflict.  Had Zelensky negotiated with Putin then, he would have saved thousands of lives and square miles of Ukraine’s sovereign territory.  Zelensky dragged 82-year-old former President Joe Biden into the war, ending decades of diplomacy, détente and arms control with the Kremlin.  Biden got the U.S. sucked into a deadly conflict that has pushed the European Continent closer to WW III possibly nuclear war.  Trump said he would end the conflict in 24 hours, echoing his desire to normalize relations with the Russian Federation.  Trump was accused by Democrats and the fake news of colluding with Russia, when, as president, he has every right to maintain cooperative, pragmatic relations, the same as all other U.S. presidents except Joe Biden.

Biden was the first and only post-WW II president to go to war with the Kremlin, all because Ukraine got into a border dispute with its more powerful neighbor.  Biden and Zelensky said that Ukraine would degrade the Russian military to the point it could no longer wage war.  Biden and his former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin expressed that as the official goal of the U.S. government.  If that’s not a declaration of war on Russia, then what is?  Biden badly miscalculated U.S. foreign policy and national security funding proxy war with Russia.  Now Trump must undo all of Biden’s damage from a failed policy.  No one has been hurt by Biden’s failed policy more than Ukraine, that has watched its country destroyed battling the Kremlin over the last three years. Zelensky can’t arrest everyone in Ukraine because the public has woken up to his failed war with Russia.

Zelensky feels the walls closing in on him now that Trump has been sworn in as the 47th president.  No amount of arrests can stop Trump from negotiating a deal with Putin to end the three-year-old war that has destroyed much of Ukraine, all because Zelensky refused to negotiate with Putin in March 2022.  Putin offered to end the Russian invasion if Zelensky accepted Russian sovereignty over Crimea and independence of Donetsk and Luhansk.  Zelensky opted for war instead and must now pay the price for peace.  Putin will agree to accept today’s battle lines with Zelensky agreeing that he will no longer seek NATO membership.  Zelensky demand of NATO membership was a big part of Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.  He saw the U.S. as arming Ukraine to the teeth, posing a threat to Russian national security.  Now Trump must cut a deal with Putin to end the conflict.
