LOS ANGELES.–Former First Lady Michelle Obama, 60, said she’s “done” with 78-year-old President Donald Trump after campaign her heart out trying to get 60-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris elected. Instead of accepting defeat, Michelle embarrasses her husband, 63-year-old former President Barack Obama, not attending the inauguration. Michelle’s backers understand her hatred toward Trump but serving in the White House as First Lady you’d think she learned some protocol and manners. Trump has done nothing to Michelle per se, saying Trump endangered her and her family by spreading the now discredited birther rumor that Barack was born in Kenya. Whatever the reasons to hold grudges, it’s no excuse for not accompanying her husband to the Jan. 20 inauguration as customary for over 250 years of peaceful transition between administrations.
Michelle’s real reasons for despising Trump have nothing to do with spreading fake rumors about Barack but about Michelle’s Black nationalism that sees Trump as a White Supremacist. “She meant every word she said on the campaign trail with every fiber of her being,” said an unnamed ally. “And she is no hypocrite,” meaning she’s strong in her hatred of Trump and everything he stands for to boycott the inauguration. “She campaigned the hardest against him personally, of anyone,” said the longtime aide. Michelle’s campaign rhetoric preached to the anti-Trump choir but changed few minds outside her circle. Democrats have been making excuses of Barack for laughing and making friendly conversation with Trump at President Jimmy Carter’s funeral. Democrats couldn’t understand how Barack could act civilly while sitting next to Trump.
Partisan Democrats don’t comprehend that they’re out of the mainstream with voters in the 2024 presidential election. Michelle was convinced that here hateful views of Trump were mainstream thinking, when they were nothing more than her own rantings to the Democrats’ Black party base. “Look, he can’t stand the guy, but he knows how to turn it on and be cordial,” said another unnamed Democrat. “He was being polite at a funeral.” If Democrats really felt to strongly like Michelle, why would any on them turn up at the inauguration? Why not boycott the event to show their complete contempt for U.S. democracy and national elections? Michelle’s decision to boycott the inauguration was bad for Democrats making them look like a fringe party not in touch with the vast majority of voters. Michelle dislikes Trump because he opposes Democrats woke agenda or promoting racial and gender causes.
Michelle did everything possible to discredit Trump to her followers, sparing no criticism much like Kamala. “In any other profession or arena, Trump’s critical track record and amoral character would be embarrassing, shameful and disqualifying,” Michelle said on the campaign trail. Well, Michelle must be frustrated to know that the vast majority of voters don’t agree with her about Trump. Michelle and Barack have a net worth of $70 million made of speeches largely to White audiences. Michelle and Barack own a mansion in Chicago, large home in Washington and a waterfront property in Martha’s Vineyard, a White community. Does anyone really honest about the Obamas believe that they’re concerned about the plight of the urban poor in Black inner cities around the country? Michelle acts like she can’t stomach Trump’s White Supremacism, yet she lives primarily in White neighborhoods.
Michelle’s contempt for Trump stems from the fact that he opposes DEI [Diversity, Equity, Inclusion], another name for affirmative action for Blacks. Trump’s Cabinet picks went the opposite direction of 82-year-old President Joe Biden, putting Blacks into every possible Cabinet position, including Secretary of Defense. Can anyone really say that Lloyd Austin was more qualified or competent than Trump nominee Pete Hegseth? Austin was the one who said the purpose of the Ukraine war was to degrade the Russian military to the point the Kremlin could no longer wage war. If that’s not a declaration of war then what is? Biden and Austin have done nothing but damage U.S. foreign policy and national security since taking office four years ago. All the flack given to Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth is outrageous abuse for an otherwise qualified candidate.
Michelle disgraces the orderly transition of power taking the opportunity to vent her frustrations in public about the 2024 election. So, she said every nasty thing about Trump on the campaign trail and Trump’s followers and independents didn’t listen. Michelle speaks to a narrow constituency of Black nationalists, seeking to transform society with DEI and other affirmative action programs. Michelle’s support for an open border harms all Americans, including Blacks, by flooding the U.S. labor market with cheap foreign help. “The whole thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobica hardly concealed,” Michelle wrote in her book, “Becoming.” Michelle paints herself and Barack as victims when they’ve gotten rich off White society, living in White areas to avoid the blight created in the Black community.
