NBC showed why they’re fake news making all the same arguments they made during the failed campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris. Instead of talking about pressing world events, like the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, NBC questions Trump about what he plans to do with the Jan. 6 “insurrectionists” now serving lengthy sentences in federal prison. NBC News thinks the public agrees with them that Trump is irresponsible to commute any sentences knowing that many of the rioters were charged under July 30, 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley Act, that was suppose to apply to corporate financial crimes in the wake of the Enron scandal. Sarbanes-Oxley was used by clever federal prosecutors to get more jail time for defrauding the government, even though Sarbanes-Oxley was specifically designed for corporate financial crimes, not vandalism and malicious mischief.
So, when it comes to NBC News asking Trump about commuting Jan. 6 sentences, the president and the defendants are actually entitled to review of sentencing guidelines. NBC News presents the issue as Trump defending the Jan. 6 insurrectionists because they supported him in the 2020 presidential election. “I’m going to be acting very quickly. First day,” Trump said to Kristen Welker in NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “They’ve been in there for years, and they’re in a filthy, disgusting place that should even be allowed to be open,” Trump told Welker. Who does Welker think her audience is? Most voters agreed with Trump that the Jan. 6 riots were not an insurrection by a White riot based on the summer before rioting, looting and arson by Black Lives Matter and other leftist groups. Welker acts like Trump wants to excuse legitimate traitors and insurrectionists.
Trump told Welker he would not order the Atty. Gen. to investigate Special Counsel Jack Smith for charging Trump with scores of federal crimes in two cases against him. Trump did say that former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.) “lied about the Jan. 6Select Committee” when he said committee members “should go to jail.” “There is no conceivably appropriate factual or constitutional basis for what Donald Trump is suggesting—a Justice Department investigation of the word of congressional committee—and any lawyer who attempts to pursue that course would quickly find themselves engaged in sanctionable conduct,” Cheney said, defending the Jan. 6 House Committee. NBC New was wholeheartedly behind the findings of the committee that Trump planned and organized the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. NBC News knows that the committee’s findings were not supported by any facts.
NBC keeps asking the same questions of Trump now that he’s president-elect, winning the Nov. 5 election by nearly 2.5 million popular votes and an Electoral College landslide [226-312]. With NBC News and its affiliate MSNBC losing market share by 50%, it makes you wonder why they continue to beat a dead horse on issues not cared about by the public? Voters gave Trump the green light Nov. 5, not concerned at all about his conviction of 34 felonies in Manhattan court for his hush money case. NBC News, MSNBC and CNN care about Trump’s conviction because they think it disqualifies him from being president. Voters ignored the convictions because they think they were political motivated. That’s precisely why Trump wants the Justice Department overhauled so that they no longer prosecute anyone without legitimate probable cause.
So, Welker’s questions about Trump’s interest in going after the Justice Department impeaches her own credibility because voters know how unreasonably Trump was treated by politically biased prosecutors and courts. Welker does everything possible to cover-up the media’s many attacks on Trump, especially for his alleged ties to the Kremlin. Welker never said the NBC News had no basis for reporting the Trump had inappropriate ties with 72-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin. Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton certainly made it a key part of her 2016 campaign against Trump. Her husband, 77-year-old President Bill Clinton recently said that Hillary lost the 2016 election because of Russian interference. So, I guess Bill thinks that Trump committed Russian collusion, even though he was cleared by Special Counsel Robert Mueller March 23, 2019.
Trump’s interview on fake news NBC “Meet the Press” showed for all to see that the fake news continues the propaganda war against Trump after the Nov. 5 election. Whatever market share they lose in the future, it’s well-deserved based on spewing biased Democrat talking points when talking with the president-elect. NBC News can’t stand that Trump called out the fake news for peddling disinformation and propaganda to voters in the 2024 election. Instead of admitting their ways, Welker instead doubles down, acting righteous, and letting biased fact checkers continues to refute Trump. “I’m suing the country over it. He invaded Mar-a-Lago,” Trump said. “I’m very unhappy with the things he—he ‘s done, and crime is at an all-time high,” Trump told Welker about firing current FBI Director Christopher Wray, for violating his civil rights.
