LOS ANGELES.–Tapped by 78-year-old President Donald Trump for Director of Health and Human Services, 70-year-old Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. takes over a behemoth government agency with 40,000 employees and a budget of $144.3 billion in discretionary funding and another $1.7 trillion in mandatory spending. RFK Jr. was savaged in the press as a vaccine denier when, fact he’s worked for years, as an environmental attorney with years of litigation experience against major drug companies an and the FDA for permitting toxic chemicals to poison plaintiffs with cases beyond vaccine injuries to many other environmental toxins. “For too long, American have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,” Trump said on Truth Social, no doubt written by a publicist close to RFK Jr. In nominating RFK Jr., Trump prioritized American health.
Democrats and the press jumped all over Trump’s pick of RFK Jr. denigrating him as a vaccine denier when it’s only one small part of a long resume of helping victims of the food and drug industry. “The safety and health of all Americans is the most important role of any administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming health crisis in this country . . .” Trump said on his Truth Social platform. Whatever Democrats or the corrupt press says about RFK Jr., he can more than hold his own in any confirmation hearing. RFK Jr. struggles with a disfiguring voice disorder called “Spasmodic Dysphonia,” a condition that makes his voice sound strangled. RFK Jr. empathizes with health problems.
RFK Jr. has never lost his idealism inherited from his father Robert F. Kennedy and Uncle, President John F. Kennedy who dedicated their lives to bettering the lives of the common man. RFK Jr. grew up in wealth but was made to think there was nothing more important than public service. Were it not for his disfigured voice, he would have gone into politics much earlier in his career. Getting a shot to run one of the great federal government agencies in Health and Human Services, RFK Jr. can sink his teeth into something that would make his father and uncle proud. “Mr. Kennedy will restore these agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make American Great and Health Again,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Kennedy showed flashes of his family pedigree.
When you consider how RFK Jr. is demonized in the press, he could readily relate to 78-year-old President-elect Donald Trump. Once Trump survived an assassination attempt July 13, JFK Jr. and 53-year-old billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk were all in on the campaign. Both marveled at Trump’s courage in the face of death, rising after an assassin’s bullet grazed his ear to encourage his followers to get up and fight. Even 72-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin changed his view of Trump, realizing that he acted in the face of death courageously. When RFK Jr. ended his campaign Aug. 23 and endorsed Trump, it ended a family Democrat Party tradition, making instant enemies of his family and fellow Democrats. But RFK Jr. took serious his uncle’s Pulitzer Prize winning book, “Profiles in Courage.” RFK Jr. did what he thought was right for his country.
When it comes to Democrats seeing him as turncoat, they should see RFK Jr. as a true profile in courage because he believes wholeheartedly in the American Constitution and rule of law. RFK Jr. watched the Department of Justice fabricate evidence against Trump all for political purposes, to stop his 2024 presidential run. While RFK Jr. will stay in his lane at HHS, he knows what Trump has faced from a corrupt U.S. criminal justice system. Media likes to denigrate RFK Jr. as pushing various conspiracy theories like WiFi causes cancer, school shootings could be linked to anti-depressant medications and some vaccines could cause autism. While disputed by vaccine makers and others in the medical and drug industry, it doesn’t mean that there’s no scientific evidence to verify that many serious conditions are caused by various environmental toxins.
RFK Jr. wants HHS to review the most current and reliable scientific evidence before making policy recommendations. But he knows that the drug industry has the cash to fund research that supports their denials of any wrongdoing when it comes to toxins in various foods and drugs. RFK Jr. wants to give the public the best possible information to make informed decisions about their health and wellness. Bobby called Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) to ask his chances of getting approved, Johnson was optimistic. “Bobby, this is the answer to my prayers, and I sincerely believe that,” Johnson said. “I think Bobby Kennedy can do more working with President Trump to advance American health than anybody, really in history. This could be completely game-changing,” Johnson said, countering the chorus of naysayers already dismissing his nomination.
