LOS ANGELES.–President Joe Biden, 81, threw in the towel and passed the torch today to 58-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris, the only national politician with lower approval ratings [38%] than his. Democrats acted euphoric that Biden gave up his 2024 bid, knocked out the raced June 27 at the CNN presidential debate in Atlanta. Biden did so poorly at the debate it exposed for all to see his cognitive impairments leaving him a clear-and-present danger in the White House. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), 52, pledged to remove Biden from office, saying it made no sense that the president wasn’t fit to run for reelection but somehow was fit enough to run the White House. Johnson probably won’t get his way as Democrats and Republicans are no longer focused on Biden but instead look more closely at Harris, who really hasn’t been vetted to replace Biden at the top of the ticket.

Harris sports a 38% approval rating, two percent lower than Biden, that could barely break 40% during his three-and-a-half-years in office. Biden’s announcement withdrawing from the 2024 race touted his major accomplishments, including on the economy, foreign policy, bipartisan pandemic relief and infrastructure legislation, despite having historically low approval ratings. All of Biden’s accomplishment aren’t shared by the vast majority of voters who suffer from the effects of runaway inflation, paying record energy, grocery and consumer prices for just about everything. Biden boasts of the number of jobs created but most are low-pay bounce-back jobs from the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. If Biden’s accomplishments were really so great, why would have an aggregate approval ratings of 40%, not something expected for a president with stellar credentials?

Biden likes to ignore the mess he’s created in U.S. foreign policy and national security, currently embroiled in a reckless, costly war against the Russian Federation in Ukraine. Biden gave Ukraine a blank check to fund its bankrupt government and war with the Kremlin only recently calling 71-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin a “murderous madman.” Since taking office Jan. 20, 2021, Biden has insulted Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping on numerous occasions, going so far as saying in 2022 he would commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese takeover. Biden has upended world peace in less than four years, justifying his action by fabricating threats by Putin and Xi. Biden and Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky insist that Putin wants to reestablish the old Soviet Union or Russian Empire, seizing more European territory.

Putin has made several peace overtures since the war began Feb. 24, 2022, all of which have been rebuffed by Biden and Zelensky, demanding the Putin remove all his troops from Ukraine. Putin has lost thousands of soldiers battling the U.S. and NATO in Ukraine, something he says is an existential threat to the Russian Federation. Biden has no answer in Ukraine other than keep up the fight until he defeats Putin. Biden’s vendetta with Putin goes back to his days as former President Barack Obama’s Vice President, where he backed a CIA operation in Kiev, ousting the duly elected government Feb. 22, 2014 of Viktor Yanukovych. When Putin annexed Crimea March 1, 2014 Biden lost another round with Putin. Putn already foiled Biden’s multibillion dollar proxy war against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Obama and Biden’s proxy war in Syria cost over 500,000 lives, 15 million exiles.

So when it comes to touting his foreign and domestic policy record, Biden denies that he pushed Putin into invading Ukraine. For months before the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion, Biden refused to discuss with Putin new security arrangements for Ukraine. Biden decided to supply Kiev with unlimited lethal arms against Kremlin objections. Biden kept pushing the limits until Putin decided to invade Ukraine. Now it’s up to Harris, if elected president, to continue the same policy to do something different. Former President Donald Trump promised to end the war and stop the Russian oil embargo that helped fuel the worst inflation in over 40 years. Democrats look to coalesce around Harris, someone with even lower approval ratings than Joe. Harris ran against Biden in 2020, getting so few votes she was forced to drop out after the Iowan caucuses and New Hampshire primary.

All the news about Biden calling it quits does nothing other than wishful thinking for Democrats, looking to stop Trump’s 2024 bid for the White House. Democrat strategists find themselves handcuffed after the July 13 assassination attempt, toning down their incendiary rhetoric against Trump. Biden told voters that Trump was a danger to 250 years of American democracy, a real threat to the Constitution. It’s possible that the young, twisted mind of Thomas Matthew Crooks was brainwashed by Biden’s extreme demonization of Trump. Democrats have already pivoted to frightening voters by saying that Trump endorses the Heritage Foundation’s 900-page epistle, AKA 2025 Project, amounting to a conservative wish list for transforming the country. Trump says doesn’t endorse it and he knows nothing about it but it’s Democrats new campaign propaganda.
