LOS ANGELES.–Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky grows more desperate by the day attending a NATO summit in Washington, D.C. Zelensky applauded loudly listening to another overly aggressive teleprompter speech by 81-year-old President Joe Biden, brow beating NATO into supporting the Ukraine War, something that’s only brought the European Union closer to WW III, possibly nuclear war. Zelensky thought he would get an irreversible signal that Ukraine would get NATO membership but instead was told Ukraine has much work to do on democracy and to deal with his corrupt Kiev government. “It’s time to step out of the shadows to make strong decisions to act and not wait for November or any other months to descend. We must be strong and uncompromising all together,” Zelensky told foreign ministers and heads of state at the 75th anniversary summit.

Zelensky opted for war with the Kremlin Feb. 24, 2022, expecting to be rescued by the U.S. and NATO, watching his country destroyed, thousands of deaths, millions in exile, all to pull Biden into funding his war with the Kremlin. NATO has dutifully followed the U.S. lead for two-and-a-half years, watching Kiev driven into bankruptcy, now wholly dependent on U.S. government largess. Zelensky knows that if Biden gets beaten in the November election, it’s a whole new ballgame, with former President Donald Trump promising to end the war in 24 hours, largely through his relationship with 71-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zelensky urged Biden to be “uncompromising in defending democracy, uncompromising against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his coterie.” Biden has recklessly gone along with Zelensky sacrificing U.S. national security.

Zelensky, facing criticism in Ukraine for sending thousands of conscripted soldiers to their deaths on the front lines, but, more importantly, continues the war that wreaks havoc on Ukraine. Rejecting peace plans from various countries over the last two years, Zelensky, with Biden’s blank check, thinks the will defeat the Kremlin and drive Russian troops out of Ukraine. But the war has done the opposite, losing some 20% of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, all because he refuses to accept reality, continuing a destructive war when he could go into ceasefire and peace talks at any time. Putin has offered on many occasions his willingness to enter truce talks, just not on Zelensky’s terms. Zelensky wants Putin prosecuted for war crimes and to pay war reparations to the Kiev government. Biden has played along with Zelensky’s self-destructive binge, leading only to Ukraine’s destruction.

Biden’s forceful speech attempts to pressure other NATO members into supporting his delusion that he and Zelensky will defeat the Russian Federation. No one in NATO or the European Union have been honest with Biden and Zelensky, knowing that the war has gone badly, only seeing more destruction, death and misery for Ukraine. Zelensky has been gaslighting the U.S., NATO and EU, saying that bankrupt and war-ravaged Ukraine defends European democracy, pandering to fears in Poland and the Baltic States that they would be Putin’s next target in Europe. Biden and Zelensky have no evidence that Putin intends to move against NATO anytime soon. Yesterday’s pitch to NATO that they must act to save democracy is the latest claptrap for escalating the Ukraine War. Zelensky only wants more U.S. and NATO cash-and-weapons to pay for his bankrupt government.

Biden has played into Zelensky’s disastrous strategy when he could have settled the conflict by ceding Donetsk and Luhansk in Donbas and recognizing Russian sovereignty over Crimea. Now Zelensky has lost far more territory in two-and-a-half years of war, only digging Ukraine into a deeper hole. Refusing to negotiate and compromise is precisely why Trump would end the war, forcing Zelensky, or someone else, into negotiation and compromise. Biden’s speech yesterday sounded like he wanted to push the European Continent into WW III, maybe nuclear war. Biden’s June 27 CNN debate made clear he doesn’t know what he’s doing. NATO and EU officials are starting to figure out how much they’ve been duped by Biden and Zelensky into perpetual war in Europe. Zelensky was told that the bridge to NATO membership is years away if ever.

Trump’s approach to ending the war would be one of negotiation and compromise with the Russian Federation. Biden was the first and only U.S. president in post-WW II history to go to war against the Kremlin. Instead of being cooperative partners, Biden has turned the Kremlin into a mortal enemy. Putin sees the Ukraine War as one between the U.S. and NATO against the Russian Federation. Chinese President Xi Jinping, a major trading partner in the U.S. and EU, agrees that Biden’s war with the Kremlin was caused by U.S. and NATO encroachment into Eastern Europe. Xi sees Biden doing the same thing in Indo-China, infringing on Beijing’s national security. So, when Zelensky tells NATO he needs more commitment to war, he’s asking NATO to defend Ukraine against Russia. Trump would change things from the current suicide mission in Ukraine.
