LOS ANGELES.–Former Obama White House national security adviser and communication hack Ben Rhodes, 46, calls 78-year-old former President Donald Trump a “chaos agent.” Rhodes, now works for the Biden campaign, lifted the term applied by 72-year-old former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush during the 2016 primary campaign. Bush received little traction in the GOP primaries and dropped out after the South Carolina primary in March 2016. “Donald Trump—let’s be blunt—he’s not respected . He’s not taken seriously around the world. He’s a chaos agent,” Rhodes told Trump-hating MSNBC. “He’s incapable of working with other countries to solve problems,” Rhodes said, repeating the same talking points as anyone in the campaign. What so astonishing, is the Orwellian nature of the Biden campaign, repeating the exact opposite of reality. U.S. was not at war with the Kremlin under Trump.
Rhodes says Trump is the chaos candidate when only four years of Biden has the U.S. abandoning decades of diplomacy, détente and arms control with Russia, funding a proxy war in Ukraine against the Kremlin. Commercial shipping is no longer safe in the Iranian-controlled Houth rebel-infested Red Sea, forcing ships to go around the Cape of Good Hope, taking shipping companies weeks longer and millions more to deliver their goods in the world’s supply chains. When Trump was president there was no war in Europe and no problem for commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Rhodes says Trump is incapable of working with other countries when he worked closed to reinforce Israel as the most powerful country in the Middle East. Today, Israel is in a nearly nine-month-long war with Hamas terrorists after it massacred 1,200 Israeli citizens Oct. 7, 2023, taking another 250 hostages.
Rhodes says Trump was not “respected” by foreign leaders yet he managed to stop North Korea’s Kim Jong-un for threatening the U.S. with nuclear ICBMs. Trump was the first and only U.S. president to ever visit North Korea since it formed Sept. 9, 1948, prompting the 1950-1953 Korean War. When it comes to relations with Communist China, 81-year-old President Joe Biden has insulted Chinese President Xi Jinping so many times, the two nuclear-armed superpowers are close to military blows. Rhodes blamed Trump with an “erratic trade war” with China, trying to tie it to today’s inflation. But Biden kept intact many of the tariffs imposed by Trump to level the trade imbalance with China. If Biden felt the tariffs were so disruptive, why hasn’t he ended them? Rhodes epitomizes the “War is Peace” slogan of Big Brother in George Orwell’s “1984.”
Rhodes says Trump was “tearing up agreements,” saying Trump was responsible for Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre. Trump successfully moved the U.S. embassy May 14, 2018 from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a move promised but never delivered by several U.S. presidents. Had Trump been president the war would be long over because Trump would have taken all handcuffs off Israel to prosecute its war with Hamas. Rhodes told MSNBC that Trump would join other dictators around the globe, ending American democracy as we know it. “And you’re taking a chance on a volatile, strong man sharing the stage globally with a bunch of other volatile strong men and [Chinese Presidident] Xi Jinping, and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin and [Indian President] Nerenda Modi . . . I don’t think that’s a recipe for solving any problems here,” Rhodes said, saying the exact opposite of reality.
Trump was respected by world leaders, fearing they couldn’t take advantage of the U.S. without serious consequences. There was no war in Ukraine because Trump would have worked out new security arrangements with Putin for Ukraine and avoided war. Biden refused to talk to Putin for months before Putin invaded Ukraine Feb. 24, 2022, all because Biden, not Trump, was not capable to negotiating with the Russian leader. Biden was the one Sept. 19, 2022 who told Chinese President Xi Jinping that the U.S. would commit U.S. troops to defending Taiwan from a Beijing invasion. Biden violated the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act, forcing the U.S. to recognize only one China, the one in Beijing. Former President Jimmy Carter ended the 1954 Sino American Mutual Defense Treaty. So, when Rhodes talks about Trump’s chaos, what does he think has happened under Biden?
Rhode’s Orwellian assessment to MSNBC is typical of the kind of propaganda and disinformation routinely spread about Trump on the Democrat-controlled cable station. “So, if Trump offers kind of chaos and risk, I think Joe Biden at least offers again, the predictability of an American functioning in line with as set of familiar interests in the United States,” said Rhodes. Does Rhodes really think proxy war in Ukraine is consistent with U.S. values? Every American president until Biden worked tirelessly with Russia and Communist China on diplomatic relations, détente and arms control. Certainly war in the Middle East and in the Red Sea isn’t consistent with U.S. values or anything close to predictability. Biden’s predictability is one of perpetual war around the globe, getting dangerously close to WW III and nuclear war. If that’s not chaos under Biden, then what is?
