LOS ANGELES.–Former President Donald Trump said yesterday that any Jewish person that doesn’t vote Republican “does not love Israel and “should be spoken to,” prompting the liberal press to call out Trump for threatening Jews. Trump, of course, threatens no one other that 81-year-old President Joe Biden’s reelection by showing his two-faced position on Israel, reluctantly supporting Israel in its war with Hamas but, at the same time, making promises to Muslim leaders that he would restrain Israel’s war in Gaza. Biden also concerns himself with Arab constituents in battleground states of Michigan and Minnesota, all object to Israel’s war with Hamas because they essentially support that Arab belief that Israel has no right to occupy Arab territory in the Holy Land, something that was mistakenly given to them in 1948 by the British government.

Trump was the first U.S. president to approve Israel moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, after many broken promises by prior U.S. presidents. So, when it comes to Trump’s work on behalf of Israel, no U.S. president advanced the Israeli state more than Trump. Trump also successfully completed the 2020 Abraham Accords, cutting diplomacy deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates [UAE], Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan, historic by any diplomatic standards. No other U.S. president other than Trump had done more for Israel in terms to diplomatic acceptance with other Arab states. Had Trump stayed in power, he would have certainly cut a deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia, something in the works but not discussed publicly. Yet, if you listen to the disingenuous liberal press, Trump is threatening Jews saying they “need to be talked to.”

Trump’s only point in all his tweeting about Israel is that his policies favor the Jewish State more than Biden’s, largely because Biden has Arab constituencies that have beliefs, like Hamas, that Israel has no right to exist. When it comes to the British Mandate of Palestine, Biden’s Arab constituencies believe that Israel stole sovereign Arab land. When Bedouin Arabs lived in the Holy Land for over 500 years of Ottoman Turk and British rule, they never objected to living under “occupation.” Only after Jews received the British Mandate of Palestine forming the state of Israel in 1948, did Arabs start rioting, resulting in the bloody 1948 war of independence, 1967 Six-Day-War, 1973 Yom Kippur War and all the other uprisings started by Yasser Arafat and the 1964 Palestine Liberation Organization [PLO] and eventually 1987 radical group Hamas, chartered to destroy Israel.

Trump wants American Jews, who tend historically to vote Democrat, to consider voting Republican because he has the state of Israel as a top priority. Trump may be right that American Jews “need to be talked to” because they, as Trump says, vote Democrat out of habit. “Any Jewish person that votes for Biden does not love Israel and frankly, should be spoken to,” Trump tweeted, referring to key differences under his leadership between Republicans and Democrats in their treatment of Israel. “Trump appears to threaten Jewish Americans who vote against him. They frankly should be spoken to,” said the Biden campaign. Biden campaign never says anything positive about Trump accusing him of anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia, xenophobia and just about every other pejorative. But the fact remains that Trump has Israel’s back like no other U.S. president.

American Jews do, as Trump points out, vote out of habit, largely because as immigrants, they tend to vote Democrat,
largely because of historic differences, at least in the 20th Century between the parties. Nothing has really changed with most newcomers to the U.S. voting Democrat, including largely Hispanic groups immigrating from Latin America to the United States. Only Cubans, once displaced by Fidel Castro’s 1959 communist takeover, vote Republican because of Republicans strong opposition to communism. “Jewish people, by habit, they vote for Democrat,” Trump said. Trump wants Jewish Americans to recognize his accomplishment in backing Israel because he sees strong cross currents in the Democrat Party that oppose the state of Israel. Many American Arab groups agree with Hamas that Israel is an occupier of Muslim lands in the Holy Land.

White House spin doctors know that Trump isn’t threatening Jewish American citizens. How could he? Unlike the Arab lobby, Jewish Americans have played an essential role in America since before the American Revolution. “Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion,” Trump said in an interview last month with conservative radio host Sebastian Gorka. Democrats like to pick apart all of Trump’s words but he’s making a point that he backs Israel and promotes Mideast peace more than any other U.S. president. Trump sometimes conflates the Jewish religion with Israel. He forgets the Jewish religion predates the modern state of Israel by thousands of years. No question that today’s Democrat Party has many constituents, especially Muslim groups that tend to buy the fake Arab narrative that Israel occupies Muslim lands.
