LOS ANGELES.–Pushing China to the brink of war, 81-year-old U.S. president Joe Biden continues to antagonize China by holding a trilateral summit getting Japan, Australia, Philippines and South Korea to join an anti-China, NATO-like coalition in the South China Sea. China conducted “combat patrols” in the region and is one step closer to confrontation with the U.S.-led coalition. Beijing’s Peoples Liberation Army [PLA] Southern Theatre Command organized “joint naval and air combat patrols in the South China Sea,” showing that Biden has pushed the region into conflict much like he did in Ukraine. Chinese President Xi Jinping, 70, said that that Biden pushed 71-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine Feb. 24, 2022 because of arms shipments to Kiev. Biden called the Ukraine War “unprovoked and unjustified,” showing his disconnect with reality.

When it comes to the South China Sea, Biden now presses his luck during an Election Year where he’s reluctant to intervene in the Red Sea to stop Iran for letting its Houthi rebels interfere with commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Yet when it comes to the South China Sea, Biden shows he’s willing to open up a new battlefront, this time potentially going to war with Communist China. “All military activities that mess up the situation in the South China Sea and create hotspots are under control,” said the PLA in a statement. Philippines military said with Japan and Australia, it “demonstrated the participating countries” resolve to maintain “free Interoperability in the military domain,” meaning the U.S.-led coalition would not let China intimidate maritime activities in the South China Sea. Biden’s interference in the Indo-Pacific pushes the region to the brink.

Biden’s timing could not be worse to conduct joint military exercises in the Indo-Pacific knowing that war in Ukraine rages on, with China and India, the world’s two most populous countries, backing Russia’s military activities. Biden’s aggressive foreign policy in Ukraine and Indo-China has left U.S. national security out on a limb, knowing, at anytime, war could break out in the Ind-Pacific with Japan, Australia, Philippines and South Korea, joining in the combat. North Korean waits in the wings, looking for any opening to help its ally China defend itself against any U.S.-led Indo-Pacific coalition. Called the Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity,” Biden has assured that China, Russia and North Korea are all pitted against any U.S.-led Indo-Pacific coalition. With the Mideast ready to explode, Biden’s Indo-Pacific military exercise provokes China into more aggressive action.

U.S. officials have recently promised to defend the Philippines, revealing that Japan would start “anti-submarine warfare training” in coordination with the U.S., Australia, Philippines and South Korea. Xi Jinping sees the meddlesome role the U.S. plays in the South China Sea, where most Chinese military officials see the same aggressive move as NATO allies against Russia in Eastern Europe. Putin has said that his “special military operation” in Ukraine was based on the U.S. and NATO supplying more lethal weapons to Ukraine, refusing to discus new security arrangements. Now Xi sees firsthand, Biden doing the same thing in the South China Sea where the U.S. leads a NATO-like coalition against Beijing. Pentagon officials declared “ironclad” commitment from the U.S. to defend Philippines against any military intervention by Communist China.

Beijing means business when it comes to defending China’s national security from Biden’s anti-China coalition in the South China Sea. “Under the guise of “protecting fishing” Philippine government ships have illegally violated and provoked, organized media to deliberately incite and mislead, continuing to undermine stability in the South China Sea,” said PLA Spokesman Gan Yu. Gan said China would not back down in protecting China’s sovereignty rights in the South China Sea, regardless of U.S.-led naval exercises. “We are telling the Philippines that any infringement tactics are in vain,” Yu said. Philippine-Chinese relations have deteriorated under Ferdinand Marcos Jr. whose foreign policy changed with Beijing compared to his more conciliatory predecessor Rodrigo Duterte, whose relations with China were more cooperative.

Biden’s aggressive policy in the South China Sea has driven China and Russia into a close geopolitical partnership to confront U.S. meddling in Eastern Europe and the South China Sea. Biden already destabilized relations with China saying in 2022 he would commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion. Marcos said he would not be “cowed into silence, submission and subservience” by China, reflecting his participation in Biden’s NATO-like coalition involving Japan, Australia, Philippines and South Korea. Biden’s approach to U.S. foreign policy has already started a proxy war with the Kremlin in Ukraine and now pushes for war with Communist China in the Indo-Pacific. Instead of calling off joint naval exercise with the coalition, Biden continues to provoke Beijing, now one step closer to confronting the U.S. in the South China Sea.
