LOS ANGELES.–Independent presidential candidate 70-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is poised to pick 40-year-old NFL future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers as his running mate, sending chills through the Democrat Party. Democrats went with the incumbent for 2024, 81-year-old President Joe Biden whose recent polls shows that up to 80% of voters, Democrats, Republicans and independents think he’s too old for a second term. Biden defied Democrat strategists thinking he could again beat 77-year-old former President Donald Trump, not expecting RFK Jr. to get more traction. With a disfigured voice, RFK Jr. has come a long way running for president, all for the right reasons but primarily to stop Biden’s domestic and foreign policy agenda that has the U.S. racked hyper-inflation and an unending war in Ukraine against the Russian Federation. Kennedy wants to give peace a chance.

RFK Jr. decided to pick Rodgers firing a shot across the bow of the Democrat Party establishment, not happy that Biden runs for a second term. When Biden ran in 2020 he said he would do the job of getting rid of Trump but not run for a second term at age 82-years-of age. Biden capitalized in 2020 of the convergence of two major events the undermined Trump’s bid for a second term. While Trump continues to think he was the victim of a rigged election, the Covid-19 pandemic and race riots from George Floyd’s murder death push Biden over the edge. Voters were genuinely scared of the looming Covid-19 pandemic that was taking more lives by the day. Democrats did a masterful hit job on Trump, blaming him for unnecessary deaths, not taking the pandemic seriously. Trump, of course, launched Operation Warp Speed to create the first MRNA Covid-19 vaccines.

Biden and his 59-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned saying that Trump was bluffing about creating effective Covid vaccines, telling voters the vaccine was nowhere near production. Biden and Harris said they would never trust any vaccine developed under Trump. When the Pfizer MRNA vaccine was released one week after the election, it was clear that Pfizer colluded with the Democrat Party to make Trump look bad. Voters were clearly duped by Biden and Harris who, once the vaccines came out, immediately embraced them in the strongest possible war. Today’s election presents real challenges for Democrats to get Biden another four years at 82-year-of-age. Picking Rodgers injects, as RFK Jr. says, youth into his ticket, putting the ever-popular Rodgers on the ticket. Rodgers got national attention auditioning for the host of ABC’s “Jeopardy” in 2021 after host Alex Trebek’s death.

RFK Jr. was openly transparent speaking to Fox News Trace Gallagher about the reasons for picking Rodgers. “And we want somebody young who’s going to look out for that generation. Aaron Rodgers is battle-tested. He’s stood up. He’s been hammered by the press, stood up for things we believe in. I like that part of his character. He’s a critical thinker, and I think we need that at a time as you know the rise of [artificial intelligence].” RFK Jr. said March 13. Kennedy, of course, refers to Rodgers resisting pressure to take Covid-19 vaccines, something mandated by the NFL. Rodgers got himself into hot water telling the press he was “immunized” to get the press off his back but, at the same time, refusing to take any of the conventional Covid-19 vaccines. Kennedy has been accused of being an anti-vaxxer and conspiracy nut about vaccine-related injuries.

Biden’s campaign only prays that RFK Jr. doesn’t expand his current polls that show him between 10% to 15% of the vote. Adding Rodgers to the ticket could put JRK Jr. over 20% in the same range as H. Ross Perot in 1992, when the independent Texas oil man upended President George H.W. Bush, handing the election to former President Bill Clinton. RFK Jr. is the son of Atty. Gen. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and nephew of President John F. Kennedy, an enduring Democrat Party dynasty. If Biden cared about the country, he would have handed the baton to RFK Jr. or his own 59-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris. But, no, Biden thinks he’s perfectly equipped for another four years. “My memory is just fine,” Biden said, after Special Counsel Robert Hur wrote in his 388-page report, noting that Biden is an elderly old man with an impaired memory.

Adding Rodgers to the ticket, RFK Jr. will finally be taken seriously due to the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback’s large following, in and out of the NFL. When Rodgers auditioned in 2021 for the “Jeopardy” hosting job, he impressed a lot of people, recognizing his many talents off the football field. RFK Jr., who’s know Rodgers for years, thinks he’s got the kind of character needed to lead the country. Biden’s White House handlers can’t be happy knowing that Rodgers could boos RFK Jr.’s polls to over 20%, the exact spot where the late Texas oil man H.Ross Perot upended President H.W. Bush in 1992. Rodgers offers more than just youth to RFK’s Jr.’s ticket, he offers the kind of excitement that attract’s a wide cross-section of Democrats, independents and Republicans. RFK Jr. proved he’s a savvy politician with his eye on the prize in 2024.
