LOS ANGELES.–Showing the unintended consequences of proxy war in Ukraine with the Kremlin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, 73, said the U.S. and its allies are preparing for war against North Korea AKA Democratic Peoples Repbulic of Korea [DPRK]. Lavron’v statements underscore the dangerous mistrust that exists with the U.S. and Moscow while 81-year-old President Joe Biden demands more cash for a reckless proxy war with the Russian Federation. Russia’s Security Counsel President Dmitri Medvedev, a former president, said the Kremlin sees the war in Ukraine as one between Washington and Moscow, with Ukraine serving as a U.S. puppet regime. Biden’s three years in office has been marked by provocative military actions against the Russian Federation and Communist China. Biden said in Sept. 22, 2022 that he would commit U.S. troops to fight Communist China over Taiwan.
Complaining about U.S. aggressive rhetoric on the DPRK, Lavrov showed the extent of Cold War paranoia now permeating the Kremlin, a dangerous development for the decades of cooperation, diplomacy, détente and arms control since the end of WW II. For some unexplained reason, Biden deviated from generations of diplomacy, instead waging proxy war against the Kremlin, all in the name of defending Ukraine. Why Biden sees Ukraine as a national security asset of the U.S. is anyone’s guess. White House officials claim that Ukraine fights the Kremlin to prevent a takeover of Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin has made numerous overtures to end the Ukraine War, all rebuffed by Biden and Ukraine’s 45-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden and Zelensky have set unrealistic conditions for ending the conflict, keeping the war going indefinitely.
Biden shows no sign of facing reality in Ukraine before the Nov. 3 presidential election. Like when he was Vice President under former President Barack Obama, Biden faced defeat for the White House proxy war in Syria. Now he faces defeat at the hands of Putin in Ukraine. Most military analysts, including former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Miley, have said there is no military solution in Ukraine. Yet Biden continues to demand $60 billion for Ukraine to keep the war going. Even Zelensky’s military chief Gen. Valery Zaluzhny says the war is a stalemate, despite all the U.S. and NATO weapons sent to Ukraine. Biden distorts the Kremlin’s mission in Ukraine, saying it’s about Russian genocide, erasing the Ukrainia culture. Putin simply wants Biden to stop sending lethal weapons to Ukraine and negotiate new security arrangements.
Lavrov commented on Biden’s “aggressive rhetoric,” saying the U.S., Japan and South Korea are preparing for war with North Korea. Whether that’s true or not, most likely untrue, the Cold War atmosphere has hit a fever’s pitch, leaving 40-year-old North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on a war footing. Kim needs food for his people, not a war with the West. Yet Lavrov exposes the current mentality at the Kremlin. “There are preparing for war with the DPRK,” Lavrov said, pushing Kim to work on more ICBMs and a new generation of Cruise missiles. So, Biden has wrecked decades of cooperation with Russia, leaving the two countries mortal enemies, with both sides pitched for war. Biden shows no signs of letting U.N. officials work on a peace plan to end the conflict. Putin isn’t about to cave in to Ukraine’s demands for war reparations and to remove all troops.
Under Biden, the U.S. is now a mortal enemy of the Russian Federation, no longer able to count on any global cooperation, needed desperately in the Red Sea, where Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have attacked international shipping. If Russia and the U.S. had normal diplomatic relations, were not at war with each other, the threat to international shipping could be resolved expeditiously. Lavrov gives the internal Kremlin view of the United States undermining Russian national security. “Our government has consistently expressed a willingness to engage in dialogue with North Korea without any preconditions,” said Lim Soosuk, South Korean Foreign Ministry Spokesman. North Korea and Russia don’t see any peace overtures coming from South Korean, only joint military exercises in the Korean Sea by the U.S., South Korea and possibly including Japan.
Voters looking at the 2024 election should take the war-and-peace issue seriously, since, as Lavrov says, the Kremlin sees itself in a state of war with the U.S. All of Biden’s belligerent rhetoric and funding proxy war against the Kremlin has driven Russia, China and North Korea into an economic, military and strategic alliance. Under former President Donald Trump, Russia, China and North Korea were acting more cooperatively. Trump was the first U.S. president in history to visit North Korea, a sign of possible cooperative relations. All the talk by Biden of creating a NATO-like coalition or Indo-Asian states has driven Russia, China and North Korea into a close alliance. Lavrov gives the Kremlin’s view of Biden’s foreign policy, now funding proxy war in Ukraine against the Russian Federation. Biden has brought the world closer to WW III and nuclear war.
