LOS ANGELES.–Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said 83-year-old former NIH head of Allergy and Infectious Disease Dr. Anthony Fauci should go to jail for lying to Congress about the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus that killed over 1.1 million Americans, nearly 7 million deaths worldwide. Fauci, who led former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden’s Covid response teams, told Paul under oath that he had nothing to do with funding “gain-of-function” research at a Wuhan, China lab that created the deadly virus. Fauci denied any U.S. funding went into dangerous experimental research with bat coronaviruses. Paul asked Fauci under oath July 22, 2022 about his role in funding “gain-of-function” research in China. Fauci denied ever funding gain-of-function research on deadly bat coronaviruses. Fauci actually did fund Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Allinace $15 million.
Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance funded Shi Zhengli’s bioweapons lab at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, over $1 million dollars to study bat coronviruses. University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill microbiologist Dr. Ralph Baric admitted to injectiong bat coroviruses with Agiotensin II [Ace 2], a blood pressure medicine designed to work on the cell’s Ace 2 receptor, the place in the spike protein that absorbs coronaviruses. Fauci’s denials about funding “gain-of-function research” in Wuhan was at the heart of origin of the virus. Fauci, Daszak and World Health Organization [WHO] Secretary-General Tedros Adhanom Gheybreyseus sponsored a study in the British Medical Journal Lancet in Feb. 2020 saying the virus occurred naturally in Wuhan. Fauci did everything possible to deny his direct involvement funding Shi Zehengli’s bioweapons lab at the Wuhan Virology Institute. Fauci wanted to hide his involvement.
Paul caught Fauci lying red handed on the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus. “For his dishonesty, frankly, he should go to prison,” Paul said Jan. 14 on WABC with radio host John Catsimatids. “If you lie to Congress, and you’re dishonest, and you won’t accept responsibility for his mistake in judgment, he should be pilloried! He should never be accepted,” Paul said. When you look at Fauci’s record, he did everything possible to cover-up that the deadly novel coronavirus was engineered in Shengli’s virology lab. Fauci denied in involvement in creating the virus because of how many people in the U.S. and world died from Covid-19. Paul pointed out that Fauci had blood on his hands funding deadly “gain-of-function” research, something he denied doing. But the record clearly shows that Fauci funded EcoHealth Alliance “gain-of-function” research.
Paul didn’t realize the extent of Fauci’s corruption, spending most of his time in 2020 working for Democrats to sabotage Trump reelection bid. Fauci appeared on countless Democrat talk shows saying that Trump didn’t do everything necessary to contain the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Working closely with 80-year-old Washington Post Journalist Bob Woodward, Fauci did everything possible to discredit Trump in 2020. Woodward told the press that Trump didn’t take the coronavirus pandemic seriously in 2020, telling him Jan. 28, 2020 that the virus was no different than the flu. At the time, Covid-19 has no reported deaths in the United States, only a few recorded cases. Yet Woodward denounced Trump for not taking the deadly novel coronavirus seriously.
Paul wants Fauci to come back to Congress and state again for the record his opposition to the lab-leak theory of Covid-19. Trump was vilified by Fauci and the press when he said April 30, 2020 that Covid originated in a Wuhan laboratory. Democrats and the press backed Fauci for political purposes in 2020, doing everything possible to get rid of Trump. Biden and Harris dismissed Trump’s forecast that a vaccine was on its way. Both said they wouldn’t trust any vaccine developed under Trump. Yet once the vaccine came out a week after the Nov. 3, 2020 presidential election, they were all in. Fauci and Democrats used the Covid-19 pandemic to discredit Trump’s 2020 campaign. When Trump lost the election, it was clear that voters were scared about the deadly virus. Fauci worked feverishly with Democrats in 2020 to prevent Trump getting a second term.
Fauci pushed in 2020 for government lockdowns like in China, wreaking havoc on the U.S. and world economy. If Trump didn’t listen to Fauci, the economy wouldn’t have gone into a tailspin. Paul can’t get Fauci as a Democrat political hack but he can get him for lying under oath to questions about “gain-of-function” research. It’s important to determine the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus because the government wants to stop the development of the next pandemic. Vice President Kamala Harris said it was important to fund research to prevent the next pandemic but ignores how Covid-19 got started. It makes zero sense that Democrats back Fauci’s cover-up of the deadly virus. Democrats turned Covid-19 into a political issue to defeat Trump in 2020. What do they plan to do in 2024 with Covid and George Floyd in the rearview mirror? Call Trump a dictator? Guess so.
