LOS ANGELES.–Whatever happens with House Republicans impeachment inquiry into 81-year-old President Joe Biden, it’s unlikely to result in impeachment, let alone eventual conviction in the U.S. Senate. While Biden ahs the White House press team are busy discrediting the GOP inquiry as a partisan witch hunt, Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) said Biden can’t be impeached for crimes he committed as former President Barack Obama’s Vice President. Mullins insists that any high crime or misdemeanor used for impeachment “has to be committed while he was in office, the current office he holds.” Yet the White House certainly hasn’t treated it lightly, forcefully calling the House impeachment inquiry baseless, rather than raising the Mullin’s question about when the crimes were committed. Mullin knows Joe lied in 2020 about knowing nothing about Hunter’s business dealings.

Biden said he knew nothing of Hunter’s overseas business deals yet attended meetings with Hunter documented by Hunter’s former Business partners Devon Archer and Tony Bobulinksi, both saying Biden was some meetings. Hunter and Archer made between 2015 and 1019 about $11 million from work on a corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings board. Mullin isn’t correct, that if Joe didn’t profit from Hunter or his 74-year-old brother James Biden Foreign deals. James Biden’s net worth jumped from one million in 2005 to $12 mllion in 2010, only two years after Joe became Vice President. James net worth jumped from $20 mllion in 2018 to $60 million in 2023, three years after Joe took office. If Joe profited in any way from James’ exponential increase in wealth since he took office, that’s a perfectly legitimate concern in any impeachment inquiry.

Why Mullin thinks the Biden family didn’t make any illicit cash while Biden was president is anyone’s guess. Hunter Biden has been a distraction because of his unscrupulous business dealings, already indicted for tax evasion and weapons charges. However much Hunter benefited by his father’s time as Vice President doesn’t, it doesn’t rule out that the Biden family raked in oodles of cash in foreign transactions while Joe was president. James net worth jumped from $12 million in 2018 to $60 million in 2023, attesting to a rapid increase wealth since Joe has been president. White House officials call the GOP impeachment inquiry ad fishing expedition, including any attempts to depose Hunter. Hunter refused a closed door deposition, demanding that he be allowed to testify in opens session. Mullin doesn’t get the gravity of the corruption with the Biden Family.

Democrats and the media insist that there’s zero evidence that Joe profited directly or in any way from his son Hunter or brother Jim’s overseas business dealings. But House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.,) and Judiciary Chairman Jin Jordan (R-Ohio) have been investigating Biden for the last year, amassing plenty of evidence of Biden family corruption. On the day the House authorized an impeachment inquiry Dec. 13, Joe issued his most forceful denials, calling allegations of wrongdoing baseless lies. Joe called Hunter Biden’s laptop story Russian disinformation in 2020 when the New York Post reported on the story before the 2020 election. Since the 2020, election, the contents of Hunter’s laptop has been authenticated, demonstrating foreign transactions where Joe was informed or actually benefited from the deals.

So, when Mullin says Joe must have committed crimes while president, what does he think taking money from his brother’s overseas deals means? Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.),61, one of Trump’s lead Democrat Impeachment mangers, was dumfounded by the House’s party line 221-212 vote. “What amazing to me is that you’ve got an overwhelming number of people in their caucus who voted against impeaching Donald Trump for inciting a violent insurrection against our own House against the Congress, against the vice president,” Raskin told MSNBC Dec. 14. Trump was acquitted on “incitement of insurrection” Feb. 13, 201, because Raskin could not prove that Trump told his audience to commit crimes. Trump now faces 27 felonies for planning and orchestrating the Jan. 6 rebellions that aimed to keep him in power by blocking Electoral College certification.

White House, Democrats and the press have all said they haven’t seen any evidence of Biden’s
wrongdoing as Vice President or as President. What proof do Democrats and the press expect to see? Comer and Jordan have already detailed the clever fake corporations and bank accounts through which Hunter and Jim’s foreign deals were channeled into Biden family accounts. Democrats and the press essentially say unless they see the cash deposited into Joe’s personal savings or checking account, they find nothing wrong. “Now, they want to go ahead and launch and impeachment iquiry against Biden for a crime unknown. No one can identify what the alleged offense is,” Raskin said. Does Raskin really think that receiving profits from Hunter and Jim’s shady foreign transactions using Joe’s name wouldn’t be inappropriate or evidence of corruption?
