GOP Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, 38, the youngest in the field, talks circles around his rivals, looking forward to the Aug. 23 Fox News debate with or without former President Donald Trump. Trump has decided to pass on the debate because his 50-point lead in aggregate polling making him a shoe-in for the GOP nomination. Ramaswamy comes closest to Trump on many topics but especially 80-year-old President Joe Biden’s reckless proxy war against the Russian Federation. Only Trump has remained steadfast is his clear opposition to Biden’s proxy war, saying on his first day on taking office he would end the war. Ukraine’s 45-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky pretends he can’t fathom Trump’s approach to the war, saying he’s not sure how he would stop the war. Zelensky knows that bankrupt Ukraine can’t pay for his government and war effort.
Ramaswamy antagonized the liberal press that backs Biden’s proxy war against the Kremlin. “Our goal should not be for Putin to lose. Our goal should be for America to win,” Ramaswamy told Biden-backing CNN. CNN and other liberal broadcast and print networks back Biden’s Ukraine War, not realizing that it depletes the U.S. Treasury and harms U.S. national security.. Ramaswamy correctly recognizes that proxy war, using Ukrainian troops, is not in the best interest of U.S. foreign policy. Biden has turned historic cooperative partners in Russia and China, into enemies, driving the two superpowers into a political, economic, military and strategic alliance. Ramaswamy wants to get back to normal diplomacy with the Russian Federation and Communist China, something that hasn’t happened under Biden. Ramaswamy makes the point that the Ukraine War does the U.S. no good.
Biden’s false argument has been that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to go beyond Ukraine and start picking off weak countries in Europe. Biden has zero evidence for his rubbish, often citing Zelensky, who insists, Ukraine fights to save European democracy. Zelensky told the U.S. Congress and European Parliament that Ukraine fights to save European democracy from Putin. Putin has stated clearly that he has no problem with Europe as long as it doesn’t encroach on the Russian Federation. When Putin asked Biden to sit down and work out a new security arrangements for Ukraine in the months leading to the Feb. 24, 2022 Ukraine War, Biden rejected Putin’s requests leading to the war. Ramaswamy’s Ukraine War closely parallels Trump and DeSantis, the only two GOP candidates opposed to Biden’s policy. Ramaswamy agrees that Zelensky must make concessions to Putin.
Biden has buffaloed Congress and the public to believe his rubbish that the U.S. must fund the Ukraine War for the purpose of degrading the Russian military. Ramaswamy makes the point that Biden has driving Russia and China into an economic and military alliance, something undeniable. “I would freeze the current lines of control, and that would leave parts of the Donbas region with Russia,” Ramaswamy said, antagonizing Biden’s apologists at CNN. “I would also further make a commitment that NATO will not admit Ukraine to NATO. But there are even greater wins that I will get fro the United States,” Ramaswamy said, repeating Trump’s lines about the U.S. winning. Ramaswamy provokes the liberal press saying he would make concessions to Putin to end the 19-month old conflict. Ukraine can’t fight Russia without U.S. cash-and-weapons.
Opposing the Ukraine conflict, Ramaswamy strikes a cord with the public, tired of Biden’s claptrap that the U.S. must fight Ukraine’s border dispute with the Kremlin. Trump and DeSantis read the Ukraine War correctly that it harms U.S. national security, wastes precious tax dollars and wrecks U.S.-Russian relations. Biden’s foreign policy has upended nuclear nonproliferation by ending cooperation with the Kremlin. As long as Biden funds the Ukraine War, Russia continues to pursue a nuclear superiority program with impunity, all because Biden made bad choices. Ukraine’s had problems with Russia before the war and will have problems long after the war ends. Trump and DeSantis make the point that Washington should not take on Ukraine’s border dispute with the Kremlin. Trump, DeSantis an Ramaswamy all want to restore normal diplomatic relations with Russia.
Ramaswamy has the Ukraine War situation right, contrasting himself with former Vice President Mike Pence, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and other GOP candidates that rubber stamp Biden’s Ukraine proxy war. Biden presents no facts that Putin looks to expand to other European countries. Putin made clear in the months lead up to the Ukraine War that he wanted new security arrangements with Kiev, not the U.S. or NATO supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons. Trump says he would end the war in 24 hours telling Zelensky that he must go to the peace table and negotiate a settlement. Biden and Zelensky have refused all peace proposals, insisting that Putin must pull his troops out of Ukraine. Putin had troop in Ukraine protecting Russian speaking enclaves in Donbas and no doubt will have troops in Ukraine after the war ends. Trump knows how to end the war.
