Retired Director of Allergy and Infection Disease at the National Institutes of Health [NIH] 83-year-old Dr. Anthony Fauci faces a new criminal referral by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) for lying under oath May 11, 2021 about the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus. Fauci denied that he or the NIH ever funded “gain-of-function” research into the deadly novel coronavirus, quibbling with Paul over semantics. Paul presented Fauci with an email he wrote proving that, in fact, “gain-of-fuction” research had taken place at Wuhan University. Fauci sent an email Feb.1, 2020 10 days before the World Health Organization [WHO] declared a global pandemic March 11, 2020. “Acknowledging concerns that COVID-19 may have been genetically engineered because of gain-of-function research was taking place in Wuhan before the pandemic,” Fauci’s email said.
No matter how much Fauci wants to argue semantics, it’s clear the Paul caught Fauci in a big lie about the origin of the deadly virus. Only weeks after the Feb. 1, 2020 email, Faudi signed on a letter written by New York-based EcoHealth Alliance CEO Petr Daszak with 27 other scientists to the British Medical Journal Lancet that the virus most likely occurred naturally from animal-to-human transmission. Paul found it frustrating listening to Fauci call him a liar at a public hearing, refusing to admit he provided grants to Shi Zhengli at the Wuhan Institute of Virology to study bat coronaviruses. Paul bent over backwards to give Fauci an out from his lies about funding gain-of-function research. Pauci said “he never lied before Congress and did not retract that statement,” Paul wrote. Paul has Fauci caught in a lie years after the fact, now that the pandemic has died down and faded from public concern.
Fauci’s cover-up of NIH funding in Zhengli’s Wuhan Institute of Virology lab shows how desperate Fauci was to deny any involvement in creating the deadly novel coronavirus. When you think that over 7 million people have die worldwide, over 1.1 million in the U.S., Fauci didn’t want blood on his hands. Fauci, in concert with WHO Directory-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreesus made every effort to discredit the lab leak theory, stating that gain-of-function research created the deadly virus that leaked from the Wuhan lab to create the deadly global pandemic. When Chinese Foreign Minister Spokesman Zhao Lijian said March 13, 2020 that the virus was made in America and exported to Wuhan by the U.S. military, stating the official Chinese position, Fauci said nothing, continuing to insist the virus originated in a wet market in Wuhan, China.
Paul now wants Fauci to face perjury charges for denying that he funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. “Scientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments to determine that molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection and the outbreak originated in Wuha,” Fauci wrote in his Feb. 1, 2020 email. Former President Donald Trump stated April 30, 2020 that the deadly novel coronavirus leaked from a Wuhan lab infecting the local population, then spreading across the globe. Trump was vilified by Fauci and the entire Democrat-media establishment for spreading conspiracy theories. Even to this date, Democrats and the press continue to spread lies that the deadly novel coronavirus occurred naturally. Only recently have scientists give credibility to the lab leak theory.
Fauci will tell DOJ investigators that he did not fund the “gain-of-function” research directly, retaining a modicum of truth about his role in funding Zhengli’s deadly novel coronavius experiements. Chinese President Xi Jinping told the Chinese Communist Party Congress Feb. 14, 2020 that he was ordering the Ministry of Science and Technology to tighten up security at China’s microbiology labs. Yet his words were covered up by Fauci and his colleagues at EcoHealth Alliance and WHO insisting that the virus occurred naturally. Fauci led the charge to cover-up the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus wanting no part of the blame. How ironic that the man leading the fight against the virus in the U.S. was partly responsible for creating the virus. University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, microbiologist Ralph Baric admitted to working in Zhengli’s lab injecting bat coronavruses with Angiotensin II [ACE 2].
Sen. Rand Paul endured much of Fauci’s abuse in public hearings on the origin of the deadly novel cornavirus. It’s doubtful that Biden’s DOJ will do anything to punish Fauci for lying to Congress, because Fauci likes to split hairs on the meaning of gain-of-function research. But the record is clear that Fauci did everything possible cover-up the origin the deadly virus, knowing it leaked out of Shengli’s Wuhan lab. President Joe Biden has done everything possible to cover-up the origin of the virus assigning the issue to Director of Naitonal Intelligence Avril Haines. Paul caught Fauci lying under oath but it means little to a jaded public at this point. One thing should be clear to the public that the Biden White House lies to the public about Covid-19 and more recently the destructive and wasteful proxy war against the Kremlin. New reports of Biden family corruption should disgust everyone.
