Throwing the book at 21-year-old Pentagon leaker Airman private first class Jack Teixeira, the U.S. government wants to stop the world from getting an inside picture on what’s really happening in Ukraine. Teixeira used Internet chat room Discord to disseminate Top Secret government files on the Ukraine War. If you listen to 80-year-old President Joe Biden or Ukraine’s 45-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine is handing the Russian Federation its head in the 14th month old war. Yet when looking as seized Ukrainian sovereign territory, Russia has take overn some 25% of Ukraine’s land, including the strategic Black Sea coast. Teixeira revealed that Biden and Zelensky’s outward assessment of war progress doesn’t match with what U.S. intel agencies are telling themselves. Teixeira’s leaks show that U.S. smart bombs used in Ukraine aren’t hitting their targets.

Teixeira’s leaks show that Russia has been jamming the GPS of U.S. smart bombs, guided missiles, making them miss their targets. In the leaked files, Pentagon officials expressed concerns about Kiev’s war strategy spending months trying to save the bombed out city of Bakhmut, burning through munitions at an alarming rate, all because Zelensky and the 40-year-old Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba don’t want to admit defeat. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, 64-year-old Gen. Mark Miley does not see Kiev meeting their war objectives in 2023. Zelensky and Kuleba have promised allies that they’d oust the Russian Federation from Ukraine this year. Whether running out of ammo or smart bombs not hitting targets, Zelesnky has plenty of excuses why he hasn’t met his goals. Growing doubt about Kiev’s promises have crept into the Pentagon and NATO’s assessments of the war.

U.S. and Ukrainian officials are furious about Teixeira’s leaked files, showing, if nothing else, that the White House and Kiev often exaggerate the war’s progress against the Russian Federation. Zelensky didn’t admit in the first years of war how much sovereign land he had lost to the Kremlin. When it’s all added up, Ukraine’s military ends up playing catch up, unable to strop more losses, while, at the same time, unable to reclaim lost territory over the last year. Teixeira’s leaks, whether intended or not, show that Ukraine army has not had the dramatic successes boated by Washington and Kiev. Biden and Zelensky have showed no interest in settling the score at the peace table, continuing to press ahead with the war. Biden and Zelensky face more opposition in Congress and the European Union [EU] to spending unlimited sums of cash to keep the war going indefinitely.

Department of Justice officials want to silence Teixeira from conveying his true motives of unlawfully releasing the Pentagon’s classified Ukraine files. White House and the U.S. press don’t want to admit that Teixeira was a whistleblower wanting to see the war stop, move to the peace table. Reading the New York Times, Teixeira only disclosed the government’s secret files because it was youthful bravado for the 21-year-old private first class. When it comes to the true motives, Teixeira was more interested in ending the war, preventing WW III and stopping the prospects of nuclear war. When it came to Edward Snowed revealing in 2013 government spying operations on its own citizens, it was sold a patriotic act. Unlike Snowden, the media wants to throw the book at Teixeira, saying he should be prosecuted under the 1917 Espionage Act. Teixeira isn’t called a whistleblower by anyone.

Biden has the U.S. press providing cover for his deadly proxy war against he Russian Federation. Teixeir is viewed as a traitor, not a whistleblower trying to expose government lies about the Ukraine War against the reality of battling the Kremlin. When it comes to Zelensky staking new goals with U.S. weapons to battle to the death in Bakhmut or takeover Crimea, the Pentagon raised real doubts about the Ukrainian army driving Russia out of Ukraine. Whether smart-bombs are jammed by Russia or just missing their targets, it doesn’t mean that supplying Ukraine more weapons will get the job done. Watching Joint Direct Attack Munitions [JDAM] miss targets raises real questions bout the competence of the Ukrainian military to make use of advanced weapons systems. Defense Department officials want to answer questions about what’s going wrong in Ukraine.

Teixeira’s Pentagon leaks exposed allies to U.S. spying operations, not trusting allies when it comes to the Ukraine War. Kiev has more problems than malfunctioning smart bombs. Zelensky has no coherent strategy to neutralize Russian war objectives, trying to annex more Russian territory. Biden has been reluctant to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, knowing what could happen with a wider war. Kiev must have more than a preliminary plan to battle the Kremlin at a series of constantly changing points on the battlefield. Wasting valuable military resources on a campaign to retake Bakhmut or Crimea, Kiev and Washington have no real plan. If Zelensky really wants his sovereign land back, he needs to get to the peace table and the earliest possible time. Battling the Kremlin on the streets of Kiev or other Ukrainian cities won’t meet Zelensky’s high bar for getting Russia out of Ukraine.
