Unnamed U.S. officials suspect that a “pro-Ukrainian group” bombed the Nord Stream pipeline Sept. 26, 2022, six months after the Feb. 24, 2022 Ukraine War begain. U.S. officials cautioned that there was no evidence yet that Ukraine’s 35-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered the sabotage, though rarely do independent private groups plan such a sophisticated operation. When it comes to motives for the bombing, Ukraine certainly had an ax to grind against the Russian Federation for its invasion. Knocking out the Nord Stream pipeline benefited Ukraine, attempting to prevent 70-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin from selling natural gas to the European Union. New York Times source said that “opponents of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia” carried out the pipeline bombing, designed to prevent the Kremlin from selling natural gas to Europe.
Kiev officials were the first to implicate Putin in a false flag operation, saying that he Russia carried out the attack on its own interest. Whoever carried out the Sept. 26, 2022 attack, they were skilled divers with the use of explosives. Reports indicate that whoever sabotaged the Nord Stream pipeline, they rented a yacht from Poland, presenting professionally done fake passports. German investigators say five men and one woman participated in the undersea bombing. Setting sail from the German port of Rostok Sept. 6, the yacht was tracked to the Danish Island of Christianariso in the Baltic Sea. Despite all the details provided by German authorities, U.S. officials said they have “no firm conclusions” about the intel, “leaving open the possibility that the operation might have been conducted off the books by a proxy force with connections to the Ukraine government or its security services.”
Funding the Kiev government and paying for the war, the U.S. has a vested interest in covering for Ukrainian officials, especially for Zelensky who, at the time of the pipeline bombing, blamed Russia for sabotaging the pipeline. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied the accusations, saying it was most likely Ukraine. All intel services, including from Denmark, Sweden and Germany, all point to an elaborate scheme by Ukrainians to destroy the pipeline to punish the Russian Federation. Locked in a bloody war of attrition, Zelensky decided, with White House guidance, to go to war against the Russian Federation. Today, the State Department said they will win the Ukraine War, admitting, as the Kremlin says, that the war is run from the White House. U.S. officials and allies don’t want to discredit Zelensky’s government for its act of sabotage on the Nord Stream pipeline.
Instead of escalating the conflict, talking about winning the war, the White House should be working feverishly on ending the conflict. Ukraine can’t prosecute the war without U.S. cash-and-arms. With the Kiev government bankrupt, Zelensky should be open minded about ending the conflict and negotiating a mutually beneficial settlement. Biden and Zelensky think Putin’s going to surrender to the U.S. and Ukraine. Putin has already signaled he will stay in Ukraine as long as it takes to defend his naval base in Crimea and Russian speaking enclaves in the Peoples Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. So, all the bravado coming from Washington and Kiev, where are the peacemakers putting pressure on Washington and Kiev to settle the conflict at the bargaining tabl?. Kiev won’t get everything it wants. Zelensky could have accepted Putin’s offer in March 2022 to end the conflict with a few minor concessions.
Whatever investigations continue on the Sept. 26 bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline, there’s enough intel leaked to the press to point fingers at Kiev. Putin has no motive at all to sabotage the Nord Stream pipeline. Only Ukraine sought to retaliate against the Kremlin for invading its borders Feb. 34, 2022. “There is an ongoing preliminary investigation in Sweden, so I do not intend to comment on those reports,” Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersoson said today. U.S. investigative reporter Seymour Hirsch said last year that the U.S. was behind the Sept. 26, 2022 Nord Stream pipeline bombing. White House officials called Hirsch’s report “complete fiction,” leaving only Kiev as the likely culprit for the bombing operation. Time will tell but all fingers seem to point toward Kiev. German officials released too many details to implicate anyone but Kiev.
