California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a possible 2024 presidential candidate, blamed Fox News, saying the conservative news cable network owned by billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdock, “crushed” the Democrat Party. While flattering for Fox News, Newsom’s statements are so preposterous, so misguided, so twisted, they defy reality. Whatever the Fox News audience, it pales in comparison to the whopping audience of virtually every other cable and network news service. Newsom say Fox News primetime hosts to the damage to the Democrat Party, when ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and CNN, all denigrate the Republican Party on a nightly basis. Blaming lowly Fox News for dominating all the other cable and network news is preposterous, knowing that have a far bigger combined audience to Fox. Newsom said Fox News hosts are “ruthless” in controlling the conservative narrative.
Newsom, who claims, despite all the media chatter, that he’s not a 2024 presidential candidate, he just beat back Sept. 14, 2021 a recall election that put him through the ringer. California has an overwhelming Democrats advantage, making any recall next to impossible. If it were on the merits, Newsom would have lost the election, after, during the height of the Covid-19 global pandemic, he went to a birthday party maskless at the ultra-chic Michelin-rated French Laundry restaurant in California’s in Wine Country Napa Valley. While Republicans had plenty of signatures to put Newsom’s recall on the ballot, they fell short when it came to registered Democrats. “There guys are ruthless on the other side,” Newsom said, referring to Fox News hosts that hammer Democrats daily on every possible issue. News knows that the entire U.S. media, except Fox News and some minor players, are against Republicans.
What would Newsom like: Rule by oligarchy, with only one Party, where there’s no tolerance for any dissent? Newsom knows that the mainstream press demonized 76-year-old former President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. Trump was blamed by the mainstream press for the death of George Floyd, botching the Covid-19 pandemic and turning the U.S. into a fascist state. “That primetime lineup on Fox, they’re ruthless . . . They dominate the most important thing in American politics today, and that’s the narrative. Facts become secondary to narrative. They dominate with illusion, and we are getting crushed,” Newsom said. Newsom knows that the mainstream press, that commands the nation’s captive audience, sets the narrative against Republicans, accusing them of racism, misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia and lately, fascism.
When President Joe Biden called Trump followers, so-called MAGA supporters, “semi-fascists,” the Democrat Party experimented with the latest narrative against Republicans. Voting for Trump or any of his backers is a threat, according to Biden, to U.S. democracy. Forget about Biden’s proxy war against the Russian Federation that could lead to WW III on the European Continent. Biden’s abysmal treatment of China, accusing Beijing of genocide against Muslim Uyghurs in Western China, is a threat to world stability. Biden said Sept. 18 that he would commit U.S. troops to Taiwan, in the event of a Chinese invasion. Biden said there’s no change in U.S. policy but clearly he’s violated the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act signed into law by former President Jimmy Carter. Carter told China the U.S. recognized only one China, the one in Beijing. He also cancelled the 1954 Sino-American Mutual Defense Treaty.
Can you imagine Newsom saying that only Fox News sets the U.S. narrative, not the profusion of Democrat-controlled news outlets, including the New York Times and Washington Post? How many fake stories did they write about Trump’s alleged, but disproved, ties to the Kremilin? What kind of narrative does Newsom think promotes five years of fake news against Trump? More recently, should everyone believe every Democrat-led witch hunt against Trump including the Jan. 6 House Select Committee, Aug. 8 raid on Mar-a-Lago and, more recently, NY Atty. Gen. Letitia James biased $250 million civil suit against Trump and his grown children? Where’s the Democrat narrative that concocts any lie to push an agenda to demonize Trump and charge him with a felony? Newsom says only Fox News sets the narrative. Where’s he been living for the last six years?
Newsome thinks that only clever Fox News hosts sets the narrative to “crush” the Democrat Party. What does Newsom call it when every major print and broadcast outlet sets the narrative against the Republicans Party, slamming them for racism, fascism, homophobia, xenophobia any everything un-American.” Newsom has recently taken out ads in Florida, slapping Gov. Rone DeSantis for shipping illegal aliens to Washington D.C.. and other liberal states. Many pundits thought Newsom was announcing a presidential run in 2024. Newsom pledged to help make DeSantis “a one term governor,” backing his Democrat rival Charlie Christ. “Not happening, no, no, not at all,” Newsom said about running in 2024.”I’ve said it in French, Italian. I don’t know German. I mean. I cannot say it enough. But thank you. It’s humbling. It is sweet. It’s a nice thing to be asked. I mean it and I never trust politicians. So I get why you keep asking.”
