White House, Kiev and the U.S. press did not report on the fall of Mairupol May 18, signaling a major blow to the Ukraine’s war against the Russian Federation. No matter how much Washington and Kiev call Russia’s war a failure, talking about depleted weapons and morale, Russian President Vladimir Putin completed to partitioning Ukraine from its strategic Black Sea coastline. Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky declared the Mariupol Azovstal Steel Plant was like “300” where some 300 Spartans defeated Xerxes Persian army in 480 AD. How utterly preposterous of Zelensky, gaslighting the media to believe the heroism of Ukraine’s battered civilians and military holed up for months was anything but a tragedy, nothing like a mythical battle between the Greeks and Persians. Yet Zelensky doesn’t think twice about using such absurd metaphors.

When it comes to the last evacuees of the Azovstal Steelworks removed from the plant yesterday, it’s more smoke blowing by the U.S. and Kiev about the vast progress of the Ukrainian military against the Russian Federation. Fox News 79-year-old military affairs analyst former four-star Gen. Jack Keane urged the Ukrainians to keep battling the Russian Federation to wear down Putin’s military. Keane, who’s director of Washington-based Institute for the Study of War, published maps of Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine, something completely absent from Keane’s analysis on Fox News. Keane’s own maps show that Ukraine has lost nearly the entire Black Sea coast to the Russian federation, including major ports of Kherson and Mariupol. Yet if you listen to 79-year-old President Joe Biden or Zelensky, Ukraine has been defeating Russian forces all over Ukraine, from Kiev to Kharviv.

Mariupol’s fall shows that Western governments and their friends in the press only report on Ukraine “victories” like pushing Russian troops away from Kiev and Kharkiv. But in reality, Russian forces weren’t beaten back by Ukrainian forces, they decided to re-deploy elsewhere in the country. Russian President Vladimir Putin, 69, said from Day One, Feb. 24, that the Ukraine invasion was a “special military operation” designed to secure territory around Donetsk and Luhansk, not, as advertised by Biden and Zelensky, to take over the Ukrainian government in Kiev. So when Kiev and Washington talk about success, they totally ignore the Russian takeover of Ukraine’s Black Sea coast. To get it back, Ukraine would be fighting an endless war, taking years to drive out the Russian military. Losing Mariupol was a decisive blow to Ukraine’s plans to defend their sovereignty.

When Russia seized the Crimean Peninsula March 1, 2014, the U.S. and Kiev did nothing to stop the Kremlin. Former President Barack Obama and his VP Joe Biden put up no resistance to Putin’s annexation of Crimea. Obama and Biden presided Feb. 22, 2014 over the CIA-backed Kiev coup that toppled the Kremlin-backed government of Viktor Yanukovych. Putin annexed Crimea to protect his Sevastopol naval base, threatened by the pro-Western coup. Ukraine’s pro-Western revolutionaries led by Kiev Mayor Vital Klitschko, succeeded in chasing Yanukovych out of Kiev. Eight years later, Putin invaded Ukraine because eight years of U.S. military aid to Ukraine threatened Russian national security. Putin asked Biden on repeat occasions to renegotiate security arrangements with Ukraine, telling Kiev and Washington that the Kremlin could not accept a puppet U.S. regime on Russia’s border.

Taken into Russian custody, the remaining Ukrainian fighters removed from Asozstal Steelworks are now prisoners of war, a crushing blow to Ukraine’s narrative that it’s winning the war against the Kremlin. Biden and Zelensky actually believe that t the war against the Russian Federation will topple Putin’s government. Wild speculation about Putin’s physical and mental health circulate in the U.S. press, another fake news story, pure war propaganda. Whatever Putin’s ailments, he’s firmly in control of Ukraine, annexing Ukraine’s Black Sea coastline, giving him a military corridor from Russia to the Crimean Peninsula. Yet if you listen to Biden and Zelensky, it’s only a matter of time before Russia surrenders. Looking at the Institute of the Study of War’s map of Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine shows that Ukraine has lost the war with only one way out: Peace Talks.

Mariupol’s fall has been totally ignored by Kiev and Washington, largely because the war effort is built on pure war propaganda and fake news. What’s most distressing is that there’s no objective news source to tell the truth about the war’s progress, instead concocting more fake stories about Ukraine’s victories in Kiev and Kharkiv. Biden continues to dupe the Congress, unified it their hate of Putin, to admit that Putin controls Ukraine’s strategic Black Sea ports. Biden and Zelensky won’t admit that the only way they get back Ukrainian territory is now the Istanbul peace process. Supplying Ukraine more lethal arms, no matter how ominous, won’t change basic facts on the ground giving Russian firm control over Ukraine’s Black Sea coastline. If there were ever a time for peace, it’s now before Ukraine suffers more infrastructure destruction, carnage, driving more innocent civilians into exile.
