Russian President Vladimir Putin, 69, warned the United States and NATO that more air strikes inside the Russian Federation would be met with a swift proportional response at Ukraine’s major cities. Whether admitted to or not by the West or the press, Putin has so far preserved the infrastructures on major Ukrainian cities. He has not bombed or launched missiles at command-and-control centers in Kiev, where 44-year-old Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Mayor Vitali Klitschko remain holed up. Putin has complained for months about the military build-up in Ukraine, now using U.S. and NATO weapons to attack the Russian Federation. Putin said if the attacks on Russian soil continue, the war will escalate accordingly, including bombing the Ukraine parliament and Presidential Palace. President Joe Biden, 79, today asked Congress for an additional $33 billion to fund the Ukraine War.
Biden and Zelensky have shown no interest in deescalating the conflict, confirmed March 26 by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin who announced in Ramstein Germany that the goal of the Ukraine War was to degrade the Russian military to the point it could no longer wage war. Austin’s comments finally got through to members of the Bundestag, part of the historic Reichstag in Berlin. German officials have started to pause on how Biden has morphed the Ukraine War to degrading the Russian military. Objections to Biden’s plans could reverberate all over the EU when it becomes clear that Biden is prepared to start WW III on the European Continent, justifying it as preserving freedom. Biden said today that “he would never let Russia dominate Ukraine,” acting like Ukraine has become the 51st state. Biden feels the same way about China bullying Taiwan.
Biden’s “mission creep” no longer has the U.S. helping Ukraine to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Biden said March 25 in Warsaw, Poland that Putin could no longer remain as Russian president. With Austin confessing in Ramstein that the new military goal in Ukraine is degrading the Russian military, EU circles are starting tot take notice. No one in the EU or NATO want to fight WW III over Biden’s grandiose plan to degrade the Russian military to the point they can not wage war. Would the U.S. like Russia or China to declare they plan to degrade the U.S. military to the point it cannot wage war? Biden’s mission creep breaches all common sense, trying to help Ukraine preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ultimately, it’s not Washington or Brussels’ fault that Ukraine can’t get alone with its neighbor–a serious border dispute with the Russian Federation..
Zelensky has said repeatedly that the U.S. and NATO haven’t done enough to protect Ukraine from the Russian attack. Zelensky said yesterday that 72-yuear-old U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had not right to visit Putin at the Kremlin, because he doesn’t speak for Ukraine. Well, in case Zelensky hasn’t noticed, the EU and NATO aren’t willing to sacrifice their security because of a border dispute. Biden now asks the so-called European allies to join his war against the Russian Federation. Someone in the EU or at least one of its states needs to confront the White House about its mission in Ukraine. Pushing the world to the brink of WW III does no one any good, certainly to the some 450 million citizens in Europe. What’s Biden thinking that the EU and NATO want to join his war to topple Putin or degrade the Russian military? Biden’s bravado is delusional at this point.
No one in the Western press has questioned Biden’s mission in Ukraine. Asking for $33 billion today suggests a long-term commitment to topple Putin or degrade the Russian military. Kremlin planners now have no choice but to start attacking Ukraine’s command-and-control centers in Kiev and elsewhere. Biden has thrown down the gauntlet, telling Putin’s he’s gunning for him. Austin tried to walk back his remarks in Ramstein but the cat is out of the bag. Everyone knows now, whether they admit it or not, the U.S. is at war with Russia. Kremlin spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today that the West is pushing things to the breaking point. “I don’t advise you to test our patience further,” Zakharova said, mirroring remarks of Putin and Lavrov. Putin said today that the large shipments of lethal arms to Ukraine shows the U.S. and Russia are finally at war with each other.
What’s Biden’s Plan B when his mission to disarm the Russian military fails, creating more destruction and carnage in Ukaine? When are key members of the EU going to tell Biden to back off his ambitious plan to topple Putin? EU oppostion to Biden’s Ukraine War has just started to rumble through European capitals. No one in Europe buys Zelensky’s claim that Putin wants to take over all of Europe. Whether Finland and Sweden join NATO is anyone’s guess. What’s known for sure is that Biden’s Ukraine War has gone way beyond the original plan of preserving Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. What’s beyond ironic is that Ukaine did not have control of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk before the Feb. 24 invasion. But since the invasion, Ukraine wants all of its sovereign territory back, even if it causes WW III, maybe a nuclear war.
