When the world’s richest man, 50-year-old Elon Musk, expressed a desire to buy Twitter [TWTR-Nasdaq] two weeks ago, the financial press cheered Twitter’s board for saying they’d insert a poison pill to stop the Tesla and SpaceX CEO from, acquiring the world’s biggest communication platform. For some bizarre reason, financial journalists all turned against Musk, lauding Twitter’s board for fighting to hold onto the Free Speech platform, giving ordinary citizens and mega celebrities and politicians access to their audience. Musk closed the deal for $44 billion or $54.20 a share today, in a whopping transaction that temporarily eclipses Wall Street’s bad news, watching the Dow Jones Industrials and other market averages whipsaw like Cyclone in Coney Island. Journalists opposed last week to Musk taking over Twitter were all smiles today, watching Musk succeed again.

Why did the financial journalists all oppose Mush’s takeover of Twitter last week but have acquiesced to reality this week? Why would any financial journalist have any ax to grind in any Wall Street transaction? “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said in as statement, sending chills up Democrat-biased journalists spines. Financial journalists feared that if Musk were to acquire Twitter, he would in short order reinstate former President Donald Trump, who’s past 93 million followers helped him bypass the Democrat-controlled broadcast and print industry that had nothing but contempt for him. Now that Musk acquired Twitter, those same Democrat-biased journalists fear Trump’s reinstatement. Funny how Free Speech is only controlled by Democrat journalists.

No one in the broadcast or print journalist community mentioned Trump by name, knowing that he’d be reinstated on Twitter sometime soon. When Trump was banned Jan. 9, 2021 from Twitter by 45-year-old Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, the Democrat-controlled press went into frenzy blaming him for the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riots. Even though Trump was acquitted of “incitement of insurrection” in the U.S. Senate Feb. 13, 2020 House Democrats, led by 82-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi promised she’d hold hearings until Trump was eventually convicted. Pelosi met he promised June 30, 2021 opening up the House Select Committee to investigate, charge and convict Trump for orchestrating he Jan. 6 “insurrection.” So for nearly a year the Democrat-biased committee have issued numerous subpoenas and received testimony for anyone possible to prove Trump’s guilt.

Familiar characters from Trump’s impeachment hearings, led by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), continue to make wild accusations against Trump, including that his own daughter, 40-year-old Invanka Trump, ratted her father out. Invanka told the Select Committee that she tried to get he father on Jan. 6 to stop the Capitol riot. Raskin and others on the Select Committee see Ivanka’s testimony as a “smoking gun” or her father’s guilt. What the House Select Committee refuses to accept is that Trump had nothing to do with the planning and orchestrating the Jan. 6 riot. If the angry Pelosi-led Democrat mob can’t convict Trump, they fear he runs again in 2024. Convicting Trump of planning and orchestrating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot would, to Democrats, prevent Trump from running again. Just like with Musk buying Twitter, Democrats do anything possible to prevent Trump from running again.

Fears in Democrat circles over Musk reinstating Trump’s Twitter account show the hypocrisy of Democrats’ Free Speech. Democrats only believe that they deserve Free Speech, certainly not Republicans or conservative with alternative views. Musk thought Twitter abused its 1996 Section 230 protections, giving social networks protection from lawsuits. When Dorsey banned Trump Jan. 9, 2021 because of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, Twitter played judge, jury and executioner. Twitter has zero evidence that Trump planned and orchestrated the Jan. 6 riot but banned him anyway citing public welfare. Now the Select Committee makes the same feeble arguments against Trump using biased testimony from anyone willing to denounce Trump. Musk thought Dorsey abused his Section 230 protections banning Trump, especially because he had no evidence Trump planned or orchestrated the Jan. 6 riot.

Musk wants to improve Twitter as a platform, improving its sophistication for promoting Free Speech. Musk himself was the victim of social networks that blamed him for Tesla’s decline in stock value allegedly because he made certain public comments May 1, 2020 about taking the company going private. When it comes to the fake news, they were in full force over the last two weeks citing every reason under the sun for preventing Musk from buying Twitter. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating humans. Twitter has tremendous potential—I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it,” Musk said. Musk’s desire to improve the Free Speech platform was attacked by the Democrat-controlled financial press.
