Unless the Kremlin bashing and anti-Russia hysteria stops in Washington, the world will be a more dangerous place, with the Democrat Party fake news continuing to spread dangerous disinformation and propaganda. Take the Ukraine situation, for instance, not one Democrat politician or news outlet has admitted that Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Crimea March 1, 2014 after a Feb. 22, 2014 coup that toppled the duly elected, Kremlin-backed government of Viktor Yanukovych. But it you ask any Western leader or news outlet, Putin’s invasion was an act of naked aggression against Ukraine. Yet Putin had his warm water naval base at Sevastopol to protect. Once former heavy boxer Vital Klitischo succeeded in running Yahukovych out of Kiev, Putin had no choice by to annex Crimea. Why hasn’t one Western leader or news outlet admitted there reason behind Putin’s March 1, 2014 Crimean invasion?
When you look at the answer, it’s rather obvious, why no one admits that a Feb. 22, 2014 CIA-backed coup toppled the Kremlin-backed Kiev government. So when it comes to all the pro-Western and media hype about a new Ukraine invasion, it’s all hype. “This legislation makes it absolutely clear that the U.S. Senate will not stand idly by as the Kremlin threatens a re-invasion of Ukraine,” said Sen. Bob Mendendez (D-N.Y.), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Menendez offers nothing new or anything helpful, only ratchets up more tension between Moscow and Washington. Putin has said that any attempt by the U.S. to impose crippling economic sanctions over Ukraine would be met with a complete break off of U.S. diplomatic relations. Menendez bill is totally unnecessary and offers nothing new to de-escalations tensions with Ukraine, the U.S., EU and NATO.
White House officials expressed support for Menendez’ bill that would impose draconic economic sanctions on Moscow in the event of a Ukraine invasion. “We support Senator Menendez’s legislation, which would trigger severe costs to Russia’s economy and support additional security assistance to Ukraine should Russia further invade,” said National Security spokesman Emily Horne. White House response in Geneva led by envoy Wendy Sherman has done nothing other than antagonize Kremlin envoy Dmitri Rybakov. There’s zero evidence from the fake news that Russia is considering a new invasion. Putin and Rybakov have said emphatically that Moscow has no intent of invading Ukraine. So why does Mendenez or the White House continue to accuse Russi of plotting a new Ukraine invasion? White House officials, and now Menendez, have only made a bad situation worse.
When it comes to Washington’s anti-Russia hysteria, Putin can’t get a fair shake in the United States, with both Democrats and Republicans showing anti-Russian bias. Putin told the press on repeated occasions he has no intent of invading Ukraine. Yet skeptical U.S. officials, like Mendenez, or the press, like the New York Times, insist Putin isn’t telling the truth. With international relations like than, it’s no wonder there’s little trust between the U.S. and Russia. But the important point not recognized by U.S. officials or the press is that Putin didn’t start the Ukraine crisis. When he invaded Crimea March 1, 2014, he responded to a CIA-backed coup that threatened his naval base in Crimea. Annexing Crimea allowed Putin to continue security for his naval base, not establish some general principle that more invasions were on the way. It’s been eight years since the March 1, 2014 invasion of Crimea.
Secretary of State Tony Blinken suggested that the U.S. should use leverage against Germany for using the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, currently under certification in Germany. “Some may see Nord Stream 2 as leverage that Russian can use against Europe. In fact, it’s leverage for Europe to use against Russia,” Blinken said. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) opposed Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Tx.) bill to impose restrictions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Murphy backs Menendez’s bill that imposes crippling economic sanctions in the even of a Russia invasion. But all of Murphy’s talk is essentially nonsense because Putin has said he has no intent of invading Ukraine. Western officials and the press must admit that Putin would not have invaded Crimea March 1, 2014 if a CIA-backed coup had not toppled the duly elected, Kremlin-backed government of Viktor Yanukovych.
There’s no hope to improve U.S.-Russia or U.S.-Chinese relations unless the Democrat-controlled press stops its endless disinformation and propaganda campaign against both superpowers. Russia doesn’t need to hear about U.S. officials and the press insisting Putin is going to invade Ukraine. It’s been eight years since Putin annexed the Crimean Peninsula March 1, 2014. When it comes to China, Bejing doesn’t need to hear the Biden administration accuse it of genocide against Mulsim Uyghurs in Western China. Nor does Beijing need to hear about the independence of Taiwan, when former President Jimmy Carter signed the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act only recognizing one China, the one in Beijing. So if the Biden White House wants to get along with Russia and China, they need a dramatic change of attitude, respecting differences between superpowers, stopping the outrageous accusations.
