Meeting in Geneva to help resolve a so-called crisis in Ukraine, 61-year-old Kremlin spokesman and chief negotiator Sergei Rybakov saw no point to continuing the talks because of U.S. inflexibility. Russian President Vladimir Putin asked a simple request to proceed constructively with talks that the U.S. and NATO agree that Ukraine will not be allowed to join the trans-Atlantic alliance because of its proximity to the Russian Federation. Putin has already seen NATO provide Ukraine with military advisers and offensive weapons, a non-starter to any peace talks. U.S. Special Envoy Wendy Sherman, 72, made matters worse echoing Secretary of State Tony Blinken’s pre-conditions, requiring Putin to withdraw his troops from the Ukrainian border. One small problem for Sherman’s demand, Russia can conduct whatever exercises it wants inside its own borders.

Rybakov went to Geneva with an open mind and best of intention to ratchet down whatever tensions have been fed by the Western press in Ukraine. Western officials and the press have hyped the possibility of a Russian invasion of the Donbass region of Eastern Ukraine, leaving the political atmosphere more tense, but all because it’s entirely manufactured by Western officials and the press. Putin, Rybakov and other Russian officials have made clear that the Russian Federation has no intent of invading Ukraine. U.S., European Union [EU] and NATO officials have warned of a new invasion after living through the March 1, 2014 Russian invasion of the Crimean Peninsula. Western officials and press never mention that a CIA-backed, pro-Western coup toppled the duly elected, Kremlin-backed government of Viktor Yanukovych, forcing Putin to annex Crimea to protect his Sevastopol naval base.

Rybakov sees no ground for continuing the talks with all the Western propaganda that mirrors Ukraine’s distortions about the history of what happened Feb. 22, 2014, when a CIA-backed coup toppled the Yanukovych government. Rybakov said he sees “no grounds” for continuing discussions with Ukraine. “There is, to a certain extent, a dead end or a difference in approaches,” Ryabakov said, admitting that the U.S. and NATO have rejected Putin’s demands for legal guarantees about Ukraine joining NATO. Rybakov does “not see reason to sit down in the coming days, to gather again and start these same discussions,” without U.S. flexibility. Sherman only gave the Russian Federation two choices: Remove its troops along the Ukrainian border or face possible crippling economic sanctions. Sherman’s ultimatums didn’t sit well with the Russian delegation trying to find a fix.

NATO Director-General Jens Stoltenberg also hasn’t shown the kind of flexibility needed to ratchet down tensions, largely caused by Western officials and press insisting Putin was ready to invade the Donbass region of Eastern Ukraine. Stoltenberg admitted that there was a very “real risk” of “armed conflict” in Europe, something he wished to avoid. Yet with the U.S. delegation taking such a hard-line position, it’s made discussion and negotiation more difficult. Blinken and Sherman should be less concerned about Russia military exercises inside its own border, more concerned about promises made by Russia officials. Unlike March 1, 2014, when Putin invaded Crimea, there’s no ongoing coup happening in Ukraine that threatens the Russian naval base in Sevastopol. Putin has nothing to gain by invading Ukraine. Only U.S. officials and the fake news continue to whip the situation into an imminent conflict, when there isn’t one.

Zbigniew Rau, Poland’s foreign minister, head of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe [OSCE], also struck an ominous tone Thursday. “It seems that the risk of war in the OSCE area is now greater than ever before in the last 30 years,” Rau said. “For several weeks we have been faced with the prospect of a major military escalation in eastern Europe,” said Rau. Rau of course gets his intel from the U.S. side that has been whipping up the Ukraine situation for months, when, in fact, it’s largely manufactured by fake U.S. and EU news. There’s zero evidence that Putin is considering invading Ukraine, only propaganda from Ukraine, looking to be rescued by the U.S. and NATO. Only yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to mediation by Russia, Germany and France, to resolve whatever differences exist between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

When you look at who’s manufacturing the crisis in Ukraine, it’s the United States, especially the fake press that makes up stories for political purposes. Biden and Blinken have been hyping a possible Russian invasion, throwing Stotenberg and Rau for a loop, since they count only on fake U.S. intel. Whatever Biden or Blinken’s vendetta with Putin, it’s certainly not helping the situation in Ukraine. Agreeing to mediation with Russia, Germany and France is the best thing that’s happened in Ukraine for a long time. To resolve the matter peacefully, Biden and Blinken must be removed from the equation because they have some kind of political ax to grind. U.S., EU and NATO must come to grips with what happened in Ukraine March 1, 2014 when a CIA-backed coup toppled the duly-elected, Kremlin-backed government. Only by recognizing reality can the Ukraine situation be resolved amicably.
