Secretary of State Anthony Blinken Blinken, 59, demanded that Chinese authorities release jailed Hong Kong journalists and staff from “Stand News,” incarcerated by Chinese Communist authorities in the ongoing crack down on Hong Kong. Since taking office Jan. 20, President Joe Biden, 79, and Blinken have driven U.S.-Sino relations to the lowest level since the1949 Maoist Revolution. Blinken held a summit with 45-year-old Jake Sullivan March 18, accusing Beijing of genocide against Muslim Uyghurs, human right abuses in Hong Kong and intimidation of Taiwan. Relations are so bad with China, 69-year-old Chinese President Xi Jinping has put the U.S. on notice that Beijing would go to war against the U.S. if it continues to supply offensive-and-defensive weapons to Taipei. So when Blinken demands anything from Beijing, there’s no relationship left in which to resolve any disputes peacefully, with Biden bluffing with Russia and China.
Locked horns with 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin over Ukraine, Biden was put on notice yesterday that if the U.S. hits Moscow with more sanctions, Putin would break off diplomatic relations with the U.S. Biden already admitted publicly Dec. 8 that the U.S. would not commit troops to Ukraine no matter what Putin does. Western officials and the press insist that Putin’s preparing to invade the Donbass region of Eastern Ukraine where pro-Russian separatists want no part of 43-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Kiev government. Zelensky has been antagonizing Putin since taking office May 20, 2019 begging NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg for membership. Putin has said that Ukraine’s NATO membership would be a “red line.” Biden told the press Dec. 8 that he doesn’t recognize Putin’s “red lines.”
Soon after Biden took office, he and Blinken insisted that Xi Jinping stop his genocide of Muslim Uyghurs and that Putin release Russian dissident Alexi Navalny. Biden and Blinken spent weeks antagonizing Putin, meddling in Russian internal affairs, insisting that he release Navalny from prison. Navalny is a known dissident seeking, through a vast underground network, to topple Putin from power. So when Biden and Blinken insist that Putin release Navalny from prison, there’s only one conclusion: the U.S. wants Putin out of power. So when it comes to China, relations with Beijing are equally bad, with the U.S. insisting it has a right under the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act to supply Taipei with offensive and defensive weapons. Xi has warned U.S officials that any attempt to defend Taiwan would be met with the full force of the Chinse military, something unthinkable to the Pentagon.
Biden and Blinken have so badly mismanaged U.S.-Russian and U.S.-Chinese relations that they have no clout to make any demands. Putin and Biden spoke Dec. 30 by phone, clarifying positions in advance of high order diplomatic talks on Ukraine starting in January. Biden was told in his call that any attempt by the U.S. to slap more sanctions on Moscow would result in a break up of diplomatic relationship. Biden and Blinken have completely botched U.S. foreign policy, picking battles with Russia and China, when none were needed. Whether Navalny was released from prison or whether Putin has 100,000 troops on his side of the border, should be on no consequence to U.S. national security. Blinken lecturing Beijing about releasing jailed journalists is a cheap PR stunt, especially knowing that it will make diplomatic relations on urgent issues more difficult.
Biden and Blinken have shown that have zero common sense when it comes to managing U.S.-Russian and U.S.-Chinese relations. Why should Biden be threatening Putin with severe economic sanctions over Ukraine? What possible objective does by Biden have for U.S. national security antagonizing Russia and Chin? Putin and Xi could be a great asset to U.S. national security but Biden has chosen to endanger U.S. national security, bring the U.S. closer to military confrontations with Russia and China at any time since WW II. Biden knows that there’s no U.S. national security significance to Ukraine. So, it’s inexcusable—actually impeachable—that Biden and Blinken have pushed the U.S. to the brink of war with Russia and China when the U.S. has managed since the end of WW II to maintain amicable relations with both superpowers.
Before Biden and Blinken take the U.S. over the falls, bipartisan members of Congress must step in to rescue his disastrous foreign policy. When Biden can’t see a confrontation with Putin does the U.S. no good at all, his continuing threats of sanctions has left Putin no choice but to potentially break off diplomatic relations. What’s Biden’s end game when’s he’s already state Dec. 8 that the U.S. will not put troops in Ukraine. Putin has asked that the U.S and NATO stop supplying Ukraine with offensive and defensive to Ukraine. He explained to Biden that he cannot allow the U.S. and NATO to arm Ukraine to the point it threatens Russian national security. When it comes to Russia and China, Biden and Blinken have zero clout to negotiate anything with both countries. Instead of slamming Russia and China, Biden should try to improve relations with both countries.
