Front-runner candidate, in 53-year-old Gov. Gavin Newsom’s recall election, 69-year-old conservative talk radio host Larry Elder points out egregious media bias destroying the two-party system in America. Elder pointed out that there’s not one mainstream publication or broadcast outlet that backs his candidacy because the “woke” Democrat crowd has infiltrated the media, making running for public office next to impossible for Republicans. When you add the Internet-crazed social networks dominated by Google, Facebook and Twitter, Republican candidates don’t have a prayer, except in the most gerrymandered or traditional conservative enclaves. Elder calls out the press for egregious bias and, of course, there’s no response because the media is guilty as charged. Federal Election Commission hasn’t figured out how to deal with egregious biased media.
When running for public office, how can a two-party system survive when only one party—Democrats—get backing from the media? Elder finds himself vilified in all major media and social networks, going after him for sheer conservative stereotypes, including Newsom’s major campaign strategy, the same one used by Biden in 2020, that Elder opposes efforts to stop the deadly novel coronavirus. Painting Elder as part of the lunatic fringe that doesn’t believe in science or public health makes Newsom look like the rational choice, something a new Public Policy poll shows registered voters opposing the recall by 58%. But however the polls and media coverage are manipulated, the real issue facing California voters is how much more unemployment and homelessness can the state take? Newsom has killed the business climate in California, driving away businesses and individuals.
Washington’s Democratic establishment has come to the California to help rescue Newsom from the big, bad Republican wolf. Newsom, since starting his job Jan. 7, 2019, has watched the state’s homeless population surge and crime skyrocket. His answer is to let more people live on the streets with some of the nation’s premier big cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles deteriorate into trash heaps and human waster dumps. But to Newsom, there’s nothing he can do to fix the homeless situation and high crime in the state’s big cities. Newsom’s single-minded focus is protecting school children and teachers unions from Covid-19. His campaign has repeated Biden’s 2020 strategy to vilify his chief rival, Larry Elder, as opposed to vaccines, masks and social distancing the exact same strategy as President Joe Biden against former President Donald Trump. Well, if it worked for Biden it can work for Newsom.
Joining the party, the California media has universally endorsed Newsom, telling recall voters that Elder would promote a racist society. Sound familiar, it’s the same strategy used by Biden against Trump in 2020. Without the George Floyd murder, who knows what would have happened in the 2020 election? Painting Trump and now Elder as racists was the fashionable trend by the Democrat-friendly press. Elder, who happens to be black, has been denigrated by the media, accusing him of the same kind of racist tendencies as Trump. Most media adds supporting Newsom picture Elder photographed with Trump, all because the media doesn’t want to deal with Newsom’s failures, only stereotype Elder as backing white supremacy. Elder’s message to voters is the same whether they’re black-or-white. Buckle down, work hard, play by the rules and the American dream will come.
Today’s media doesn’t everything possible to attack any Republican with a positive message. Elder’s message personifies the American dream that anyone, regardless of race, religion or national origin, can become successful in America with discipline and hard work. But the media, under extreme political pressure from various left wing lobbying groups, says the opposite. Only by teaching Critical Race Theory in public schools, establishing preferential treatment for blacks and other minorities, can the playing field be leveled in the United States. Elder personifies everything hated by today’s media that promotes America as “systemically racist,” despite having the toughest civil rights and anti-discrimination laws on the planet. Democrats are worried about the recall because they know the fake media narrative about the state of California defies all common sense and reality. Everyone knows the state is in ruins, with many residents and businesses heading for the exits.
Regardless of what happens on Sept. 14, even if Newsom is retained as governor, California faces a state besieged by social and environmental problems that can’t be fixed by only more government spending. Taxes, regulations and environmental restrictions have made living and doing business in California more challenging. “The bottom line here is that the recall is opposed by Democrats and independents and supported by Republicans. And there are a lot more Democrats and independents than there are Republicans,” said former journalist now a lecturer on public policy at UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. Newton says nothing about the egregious media bias because he’s part of the problem. If a two-party system can survive in the U.S., the media must be held accountable for pushing only Democrat candidates, regardless of how much they’ve wrecked the Golden State.
