When 80-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi formed her House Select Committee on Jan. 6, it looked like a continuation of former President Donald Trump’s failed impeachment trial. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) and eight other House members pleaded with the U.S. Senate to convict Trump of “incitement of insurrection” for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and mob scene. Pelosi and House Democrats fashioned the article of impeachment Jan. 13, stating “incitement of insurrection.” Pelosi and House managers didn’t care that they couldn’t prove their case in the U.S. Senate beyond-a-reasonable-doubt yet went ahead with the dubious impeachment trial anyway. No one really believes that the Jan. 6 Capitol misfits-and-misanthropes were armed with the intent of overthrowing the U.S. government. Yet Pelosi and House Democrats proceeded to sell the Senate on their farfetched theory.

Pelosi and House impeachment managers made their best case to the Senate and failed to get a conviction Feb. 13, prompting Democrats to open a Select Committee July 1 for expressed purpose of putting Trump in double jeopardy. What Democrats couldn’t get in the impeachment trial, House Democrats thought they could create a kangaroo court, appointing Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.) to the committee. Pelosi knows that Cheney has an ax to grind after losing her leadership post in the Republican caucus May 12. How clever of Pelosi to enlist the services of the No. 1 Trump-hating Republican-In-Name-Only [RINO] to investigate the ex-president. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said the FBI already vindicated Trump from any participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. House managers argued Trump’s Jan. 6 speech at the Washington Ellipse caused the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

FBI confirmed a Jan. 12 report from its Virginia field office that warned of “war” on Jan. 6, something planned by right-wing rabble-rousers for months. Yet nine House managers insisted that only Trump’s Jan. 6 speech, and Trump’s speech alone, caused the “insurrection” that breached the Capitol. Pelosi’s House committee wants to prove that Trump was involved in the planning and organizing of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. No one in the House Select Committee nor in the impeachment trial suggested that over three months or riots, looting and anarchy in the summer of 2020 by left wing agitators avenging the May 25, 2020 death of George Floyd had anything to do with why right wing groups tried to get even. House Select Committee Reps. Bernie Thomson (D-Mich.) and Cheney rejected McCarthy’s statement that the FBI cleared Trump of any wrongdoing at the Jan. 6 riot.

Getting another crack at Trump in the House Select Committee puts Trump in double jeopardy, trying to convict the ex-president for the second time. Armed with cell phones, die-dye t-shirts and the Shaman with the horns and bear-skin-cape, House managers and now the Select Committee are trying to prove Jan. 6 rioters wanted to bring down the U.S. government. No where has there been a more kooky, farfetched and improbable theory than the Jan. 6 rioters sought nothing less that revolution. House managers were laughed out of the U.S. senate during Trump’s impeachment trial and should be laughed out of the House Select Committee now. “We will continue to pursue all elements of this investigation in a nonpartisan and through manner,” read the House Select Committee statement. How can Pelosi appoint known Trump-hater Liz Cheney
to her nonpartisan committee?

All Democrats and the media reported Jan. 6 was on how angry Trump-supporter bashed in the skull of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick. Sicknick was lying-in-state at the Capitol Rotunda with Democrats and the media insisting he was murdered by Trump’s angry mob. Months went by without an autopsy on Sicknick’s death. Over four months later Sicknick’s autopsy report came out saying that he died of “natural causes,” not blunt-force trauma to the head. Yet the Democrats and media narrative continues, even to this day, saying that at least five people died of injuries sustained from the angry Trump mob. Turns out only one person died due to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, 35-year-old Arizona resident Ashi Babbitt, shot by Capitol Hill police officer Lt. Michael Boyd. All others, contrary to Democrats and the media narrative, died of natural causes just like Sicknick.

Giving Trump-hating Liz Cheney as spot of the “bipartisan” House Select Committee shows that Pelosi will do anything to make up her failed impeachment trial against the former president. Letting Cheney have any role on the House Select Committee shows that it’s just another witch-hunt, something Trump faced for four-years in office. House Select Committee must come out forcefully admitting that no one other that Ashli Babbit was killed in the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot. Admitting that Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick die of natural causes was a necessary first start. If the rioters were really a revolutionary mob armed to topple the U.S. government, then there should be some evidence. Yet Democrats and the media only want perpetuate the same baseless lies about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot: The Trump organized a coup d’etat.
