Iran’s 81-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his new 60-year-old ultra-conservative President Ibrahim Raisi didn’t like what they saw today in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of Soviet tyranny before the Berlin Wall fell Nov. 9, 1989. Iran’s Mullah regime didn’t like the symbolism, knowing that the Soviet Union collapsed Dec. 26, 2001, prompting a new era of democratic reforms under the late Russian President Boris Yeltsin. Iran’s Foreign Minister summoned Slovenia’s Tehran envoy, complaining about the European Union’s participation in the Berlin festivities, drawing leaders from around the world, including 57-year-old former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who backed 75-year-old former President Donald Trump’s decision May 8, 2018 to cancel the July 15, 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [JCPOA] AKA the Iranian Nuke Deal.

Biden and EU officials have tried in Vienna to renegotiate the Nuke Deal, to stop Iran’s feverish pursuit of enriched uranium, many believe to create enough fissile material to build a nuclear bomb. Berlin’s festivities celebrated the National Council of Resistance of Iran [NRCI], a banned resistance group seeking to topple the Ayatollah’s Mullah rule of Iran. Holding the event at the Brandenburg Gate slapped the Ayatolllah in the face at a time of delicate negotiations about returning to the JCPOA. Democrats and Republican politicians attended the NRCI event, including Pompeo, Democrat Strategist Donna Brazile and numerous U.S. senators from both parties. Pompeo called Iran’s new president Ibrahim Raisi a “mass murderer,” for supervising the purges of nati-regime politicians in 1988, 10 years after Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomenei’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

With Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s clone Irabim Raisi becoming president Aug. 8, 2021 and Gholamhussein Mohsani Ejehi the head of Iran’s judiciary, any moderate elements within Iran have been officially extinguished. Moderates like past President Hassan Rouhani and Ali Larajani are.a thing of the past. Iranians have no hope for the future, prompting NRCI to gain new status in Western circles. Once considered a terror group, NRCI now becomes the latest radical group for Western officials to back in hopes of one day creating a revolution to end Mullah rule. Iran had a long history with the U.S. backing revolution, when a socialist Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddegh was toppled by a CIA-backed coup in 1953. So when it comes to the U.S., there’s no trust, especially watching today’s rally at the Brandenburg Gate, prompting new calls to topple Ayatollah Ali Khemenei’s Mullah-run government.

Led by former Secretry of State Pompeo, who has his eyes on a presidential run in 2024, the Brandenburg rally was designed to underscore the clandestine opposition to Iran’s oppressive theocracy. “The United States should take the lead to hold him [Raisi] accountable for the crimes against humanity that he committed,” Pompeo said. Pompeo said if European allies back the new Iranian regime, the U.S. should hold them accountable for complicity with the Aytatollah’s criminal regime. Pompeo praised the NRCI, trying to heap pressure on 78-year-old President Joe Biden and 58-year-old Secretary of Secretary of State Tony Blinken to scuttle current attempts to reinstate the Obama administration’s JCPOA. Former President Donald Trump, 75, took a hard-line position on Iran, canceling the JCPOA May 8, 2018 because Iran continued its proxy war with Yemen Houthi rebels attacking Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has been in a state of flux with 61-year-old U.S.-educated Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif in the hot seat. Zarif negotiated the JCPOA with former Secretary of State John Kerry for two years, eventually signing the agreement July 15, 2015. Pompeo said the JCPOA gave Iran the sanctions relief and cash to run amok in the Middle East, starting the proxy war using Yemen’s Houthi rebels to attack the Kingdom. “May your mission be blessed and protected, may the Iranian people be blessed,” Pompeo said. Democrat strategist Donna Brazile through all her support to the NCRI, praised the group’s president Maryam Rajavi for pursuing a return to democratic-oriented Iran. Today’s Iran under Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is one of the worst violators of human rights on the planet rivaling Kim Jon-un’s North Korea, exceeding abuses in China or Venezuela.

Iran’s new regime with President Raisi and Chief Justice Ejehi show that the 81-year-old Ayatollah thinks about succession, putting the Islamic Republic into the same tyrannical hands that have ruled Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Staging a publicity stunt at the Brandenburg Gate today with the National Council of Resistance of Iran was purely symbolic, knowing that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Basij militia have a stranglehold on any resistance in Iran. Pompeo’s kidding himself thinking that NCEI has any influence, other than antagonizing the Aytatollha to crack down more on any dissent. Pompeo’s got presidential ambitions in mind, as do others speakers like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.). Staging the public stunt probably sabotaged what’s left of negotiations to re-start the JCPOA, now that Iran’s Supreme Leader knows the West’s intentions.
