Crying foul over a new conflict of interest in the Justice Department, 66-year-old Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and 87-year-old Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) asked 68-year-old Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland to investigate any role Susan Hennessey played in 71-year-old U.S. Atty. and Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origin of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation on 75-year-old former President Donald Trump. Durham was made Special Counsel Dec .1, 2020 by 71-year-old former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr, only two weeks before he resigned Dec. 15, 2020. Trump hoped that Durham’s investigation would lead to indictments before the Nov. 8, 2020 presidential election. While that never happened, Barr at least appointed Durham Special Counsel to follow-up with his investigation into 60-year-old former FBI Director James Comey who investigated Trump during-and-after the 2016 campaign.

Durham’s investigation had considerable significance to expose a conspiracy at the FBI, but following it up the chain-of-command all the way to the Obama White House. Trump said early on in his presidency March 4, 2017 that former President Barack Obama “tapped his wires,” raising disturbing questions about how Obama used the nation’s national security apparatus to investigate Trump during the 2016 campaign. Durham continues to investigate the Obama White House and Justice Department to figure out the extent of the conspiracy to help former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to win the 2016 election. Grassley and Johnson expressed concern about Hennessey, a known critic of former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr, interfering in Durham’s Special Counsel investigation. Johnson and Grassley are concerned that Hennessey has an ax to grind to sabotage Durham’s probe.

Democrats and the media dismissed Durhams’s investigation, much like they dismiss the very real possibility that the deadly novel coronavirus was hatched in a Wuhan Institute of Virology [WIV[ bioweapons’ lab. One thing’s clear from the 2020 presidential election, Democrat and the press did everything possible to prevent Trump from a second term. Whether it was lying about Trump’s Russia collusion or about the deadly coornavirus, Democrat and the press did everything possible to discredit Trump to voters before the Nov. 8, 2020 election. “Durham has made abundantly clear that in a year and a half, he hasn’t come up with anything. I guess this kind of partisan silliness has become characteristic of Barr’s legacy, but unclear to me why Durham would want to go along with it,” Hennessey said in Dec. 2020, expressing her undeniable bias against Durham’s probe.

Grassley and Johnson believe that Hennessey holds so much bias against Durham that it prevents her from any objectivity about the inquiry. “The Durham investigation presents the opportunity for bad actors to make a lot of mischief,” Hennessey said, stating the exact opposite of the record. Democrats and the press have done everything possible to stop the Durham investigation because it embarrassed the Democrat Party and the press, who’s been 100% opposed to investigating Comey’s mischief while heading the FBI. Hennessey talks about “bad actors,” but she admits nothing about former President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice, former CIA Director John Brernnan, former Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch, former Deputy Atty. Gen. Sally Yates, all of whom worked to spy on the Trump campaign, accusing Trump of colluding with the Kremlin.

Hennessey doesn’t see the “bad actors” in the Obama White House, all of whom participated in wiretapping of Trump and his campaign. When you consider that Hillary supplied her “Steele dossier,” a known pile of rubbish, to former CIA Director John Brennan and the late Sen. John McCain (R-Az.), both of whom gave the dossier, knowing it was fake, to former FBI Director James Comey, who are the “bad actors? Does wiretapping the campaign of a major party candidate an acceptable practice to Hennessey and other top Democrats? Apparently Hennessey sees nothing wrong with an administration using the Justice Department and National Security Agency to sabotage the campaign of a major party nominee. What Obama, Biden, Yates, Brennan, Comey and others did to 62-year-old former Trump National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was inexcusable, disgraceful and criminal.

Hennessey wrote in LawFare, “In sharing Memos, Comey Did Nothing Wrong as Former Official and Everything Right as Whistleblower,” demonstrating egregious partisan bias when it comes to the Obama administration’s covert counterintelligence investigation of Trump and his campaign to sabotage his 2020 campaign. No one in the Biden administration wants to hear Durham to eventually report on criminal behavior in the Obama Justice Department and National Security Agency. Durham’s probe is essential for the historical record to expose the kind of extreme measures at the Obama White House to prevent Trump from becoming president. Trump suffered four years with Democrats and the press spreading vicious propaganda about his alleged ties with Moscow. When former Special Counsel Robert Mueller cleared Trump March 23, 2019, that didn’t stop Democrats and the press from forging ahead.
