When it comes to sanctioning China on its treatment of Muslim Uyghurs in Xinjiang provice, 58-year-old Secretary of State Tony Blinken is all in. When it comes to sanctioning China for spreading the deadly novel coronavirus causing 2,776,580 deaths worldwide, 562,576 deaths in the U.S., Blinken sees no reason to sanction China, showing the kind of inconsistency that makes you wonder in the Biden administration knows what it’s doing. Since taking office Sept. 20, 78-ytear-old President Joe Biden and Blinken have wrecked U.S.-Russia relations and sent U.S.-China relations into a nosedive. Blinken and 44-year-old National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan had no problem humiliating China at a March 18 summit in Anchorage, Alaska, accusing China of “genocide” on over one million Uyghurs without any proof in Western China along the historic Silk Road.
Blinken told CNN’s Dana Bash that he was more interested in working with China and the World Health Organization [WHO] to prevent another global pandemic, not ready to finger China directly even if China lied or covered-up the origin of the novel coronavirus for months, spreading the deadly respiratory infection around the world. Blinker said he wanted to work with China on “building a stronger system for the future,” that would help stop future outbreaks. “I think the issue for us is to make sure that we do everything possible to prevent another pandemic, even as we’re working through this one, or at the very least to make sure that we can mitigate in much more effective ways any damage done if something happens in the future,” Blinken told Bash on CNN’s State of the Union. Blinken said he wanted to work more closely with WHO to share information and work with WHO’s infectious disease experts.
Blinken knows that WHO was not only not forthcoming in the early days-and-and months of the Covid-19 crisis, they did everything possible to hide the epidemic from the world and deny human-to-transmission. WHO’s Director-General Tedros Adhanom said Jan. 14, 2020 that there was no human-to-human transmission in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the virus. Tedros knew firsthand that corpses were piling up on Wuhan streets with the city’s 14 crematoriums running 24/7. Blinken can’t deny that WHO and China were in cahoots covering up the novel coronavirus epidemic, while millions of Chinese tourists infected the world, especially in the U.S. and Europea. When former President Donald Trump cancelled all incoming and outgoing flights to China Jan. 31, 2020, Tedros held a Geneva press conference criticizing Trump for interfering with China’s international trade.
Blinken’s willing to sacrifice U.S.-Russia and Chinese relations over the most extraneous issues, accusing China without proof of genocide on Xinjiang’s Uyghur population or treating 44-yar-old Russian dissident Alexi Navalny unfairly. Blinken knows there’s no evidence that China engaged in genocide but there’s plenty of evidence that Navalny’s trying topple Putin’s Russian government. Blinker puts his trust in WHO, awaiting a report about the origin of the coronavirus. WHO did everything possible to hide Wuhan’s deadly Covid-19 epidemic to help China save face. When Trump acted quickly, Tedros denounced Trump as being xenophobic. Now that former Center of Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] director Dr. Robert Redfield said he believes the virus leaked from Wuhan’s Institute of Virology, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who heads Biden’s coronavirus team, disputed the claim.
Blinken gives China and WHO a pass on the deadly coronavirus pandemic because he’s still playing politics after the 2020 presidential campaign. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said many times that the virus leaked from a Wuhan microbiology lab, not from a seafood or wet market. “It’s not unusual for respiratory pathogens that are being worked on in a laboratory to infect the laboratory worker,” Redfield said. “That’s my own view. It’s only an opinion. I allowed to have opinions now. Blinker has no intent of saying anything negative about WHO, despite Tedros acting to protect Chinese President Xi Jinping’s dirty little secret about the deadly corornavirus. Saying China perpetrated genocide on Muslim Uyghurs was far more defamatory than saying a virus leaked out of Wuhan lab. Blinken has to get his priorities straight when dealing with Russia and China.
When you consider all the death-and-destruction from the deadly coronavirus, it’s far worse than anything Russia did to Navalny or anything China allegedly did to Xinjiang’s Muslim Uyghur population. There’s plenty of evidence Blinken has at his disposal to finger China in originating the coronavirus. When it comes to WHO, Tedros did everything possible to cover-up what was really happening in Wuhan but, more importantly, around the world as infected Chinese tourists traveled the globe over the 2020 holidays. “There are clearly and increasingly adversarial aspects of the relationship. There are certainly competitive ones. There are also still some cooperative ones,” Blinken said about China. Whatever Biden and Blinker do, they can’t afford to alienate Russia and China for U.S. national security.
