Confronted daily with an avalanche of fake news in the U.S. press, 74-year-old President Donald Trump was accused of belittling U.S. WW I war-dead last week, now defending himself against 78-year-old former Washington Post Watergate-famed journalist-turned-Democrat-political-hack Bob Woodward’s accusations of racism and lies about the Covid-19 crisis. Woodward’s new book “Rage,” raised quite a stir in the Trump-hating press, accusing the president of lying about the deadly coronavirus AKA SARS CoV-2 or Covid-19. Woodward like so many good sophists, took Trump words out of context, accusing him of misleading the public. All Trump said was he didn’t want to create panic in the evolving Covid-19 crisis. Yet, to Woodward and 77-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden Trump committed murder, like there was anything he could have done to stop Covid-19.

Trump gave Woodward some 19 hours of interviews, showing the multimillionaire journalist he has nothing to hide. Yet to Woodward, he thought he’d get back in the news, misinterpreting Trump remarks, taking them out-of-context, creating bad news for Trump. Woodward insists Trump told him that he minimized the severity of the Covid-19 crisis, when all Trump really did was stay positive as any present would. Trump still banned incoming flights from China Jan. 31, when Biden and 55-year-old World Health Organization [WHO] Director-General Tedros Adhanom said Trump was acting xenophobic. Woodward gives Trump no credit, only wants to spread disinformation that Trump minimized the scope of the deadly virus. Woodward’s latest misinterpretation has Trump showing racial insensitivity because he doesn’t agree with the idea of “systematic racism.”

If Trump had anything to hide, he wouldn’t have given Woodward 19-hours of interviews, asking him everything under the sun. Woodward said he was taken aback when Trump disagreed with the premise that America is a “systemically racist” country. No country that voted for 58-year-old former President Barack Obama twice could be considered racist. Woodward asked Trump if he “understood the anger and pain, particularly, Black people feel in this country?” “No,” Trump replied., describing Trump’s tone as “mocking and incredulous.” “You really drank the Cool-Aid, didn’t you?” asked Trump, antagonizing Woodward. “Just listen to you, Wow. No, I don’t feel that at all,” Trump told Woodward. So, if Trump doesn’t buy the Black Lives Matter [BLM] propaganda then, he’s a white-privileged racist. What BLM has done is trivialize racism by branding all whites as “racists.”

Whatever Woodward said in his book, it paints Trump in the worst possible light, showing that he’s not an impartial journalist but someone with an ax to grind. Woodward said nothing in his book about BLM pressuring politicians to de-fund police departments because of a few unfortunate incidents, whether racist or not. When it comes the May 25 chokehold police death of George Floyd, no one really knows the motive, leaping to conclusions it must be “systemic racism.” When blacks kill each other in Chicago or other inner cities, BLM has no comment, other that blaming whites for creating conditions that lead of black crime and violence. But far more blacks are killed by blacks in blighted inners cities across America than are killed by so-called racists cops. Yet if you get Woodward’s drift, he’s essentially accusing Trump of racial insensitivity or the more hip term “white privilege.”

When Trump ran and beat the media establishment in 2016, they vowed to hound Trump out of office, making his first term intolerable. No newspaper published more fake news tying Trump to Russia than the New York Times, followed closely by Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post. It’s no accent that Woodward spent his career at the Washington Post, priding himself on upending careers of politicians he doesn’t like. With the media’s credibility on the line, Woodward leaves the late charge against Trump to get Biden elected. It wouldn’t matter to the media if Biden were a stuffed taxidermy, they’d take him over Trump. At no time in U.S. history has the media been so biased, so aligned with one political party to defeat an incumbent president. Broadcast and print media outlets have broken every ethical principle, cranking out the profusion of fakes news against Trump.

Woodward hopes his Watergate reputation precedes him but now has exposed for all the see his extreme prejudice against Trump. Instead of blasting the drive-by media for spewing fake news on Trump’s alleged Russian ties for four years, Woodward joins the mob, trying to set Trump up less than two months before the election. Woodward has no compunction helping Biden win the election, even if he isn’t fit for office. When you consider the obstacles Trump faces with the 99% of the media aligned with the Democrat Party to stop Trump, it’s amazing he still has a shot of winning on Nov. 3. When Biden said today that Trump’s responsible for over 197,000 deaths, it might have been enough hyperbole for a voter backlash. Trump’s been closing the gap with Biden in key swing states since the Aug. 24-27 Republican National Convention, prompting Democrats to hurl wild accusations.
