Democrats and the U.S. media’s narrative about how 74-year-old President Donald Trump botched managing the coronavirus AKA SARS-2 or Covid-19 global pandemic have been upended by recent reports of a second wave in Europe. Democrats have put all their eggs into the coronaviurs basket, blaming Trump for the outcome in the United States with 6,501,186 cases and 193,912 deaths, far greater than any other single country, with India rapidly catching up with 4,367,435 and 73,923 deaths. But Democrats’ narrative was that Trump hasn’t taken the crisis seriously and done what most other responsible countries have done. Some scientists wanted Trump to shut down the economy, issuing federal shelter in place orders for an indefinite amount of time before the virus somehow disappears. Many of Trump’s critics said Europe was doing much better than the Unites States. .

France reported Sept. 5, 8,975, more cases than the record of 7,578 cases March 31, attesting to every country having the same problems as the U.S. New infections in the U.K. soared 3,000, the biggest one-day jump since May. On Sept. 4, Spain, one of the most active Covid-19 hot spots in Europe, had 8,000 new cases. India today reported 73,932 new cases, potentially surpassing the U.S. if trends continue. By contrast, the U.S. reported today 15,611 new cases, not close to the 77,200 cases recorded July 17. But to set the record straight for the Biden campaign, the U.S. under Trump hasn’t blown the Covid-19 crisis, ebbing-and-flowing like every where else on the planet. Experts hope the second wave will come with less deaths now that the virus has morphed but better treatments, including the steroid Dexamethasone, are widely available for seriously ill Covid-19 cases all over the world.

Death rates in France have been lower than during the first wave back in the Spring, prompting France, which watched its tourism industry crushed, to continue reopening schools, restaurants, hotels and other venues like sporting events. No one in France blame 43-year-old President Emmanuel Macron for the rise in cases like they do in the United States. If the virus increases or the stock market drops, it’s all Trump’s fault according to Democrats and the American press. “For the moment, the important number is the number of sick persons, and the number of sick people is not increasing,” said Laurent Toubiana, chief epidemiologist at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research. “The number of deaths are not increasing. So, we shouldn’t be getting worked up,” Only 500 Covid-19 cases remain in French ICUs, compared with 8,000 in April and May.

Toubiana said the increase in new identified Covid-19 cases may be attributed to France’s free nationwide testing program. Yet when it comes to Trump, when he tells the U.S. press that increases in testing has contributed to the rise of cases in the U.S. he’s crucified. Leading epidemiologists like Toubiana can say there’s been a statistical increase in Covid-19 cases but not Trump. When it comes to the U.S. media, there’s no greater propaganda anywhere on the planet. When 17 U.S. intel agencies said that Russia meddled in the 2016 election Oct. 21, 2016, they blamed Russia for infiltrating U.S. social media networks and newspapers. If the same intel agencies looked into pernicious propaganda by U.S. broadcast and print outlets, they’d find far worse disinformation than anything coming from Russian and China. To Democrats and their media friends, Trump caused Covid-19 and crashed the U.S. economy.

Reporting on what’s really going in Europe gives some key insights into the extent of U.S. propaganda about the corononavius, or, more specifically, Trump’s response to it. Dealing with the second wave in France, there’s no stopping Macron from fully opening schools and the economy. Trump’s new 65-year-old Covid-19 point-man Stanford University’s Hoover Institution fellow Dr. Scott Atlas has been butchered in the U.S. press for saying that herd immunity weakens the virus deleterious effects. “Obviously, we are already in a second wave,” said Fayouz Hassam, 30, a PR manager at an ad agency. “It’s our responsibility to be careful but I don’t think there’s going to be a huge second wave. Hopefully not,” mirroring the view of Dr. Chsitophe Chevassou, who practices at SOS Medecin, administering 700 test a day. Dr. Chevassou sees more young patients testing positive for Covid-19.

No matter what happens with the “second wave,” French officials see no need for another lockdown. ”I cannot envision a general lockdown,” French Health Minister Olivier Veran told BFM TV Sept. 5. “The lockdown was a lid on an overflowing pot,” Verna said, meaning that there’s no longer any utility to lockdowns. Watching more younger people get Covid-19 doesn’t trouble health officials, thinking that more infections isn’t necessarily a bad thing for a nation’s overall immunity. “We have seen in other countries across the world and Europe this sort of rise in cases among younger people leads to a rise across the population as a whole,” said U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock, urging young people to not pass the virus on to older adults. Knowing what’s happening with Covid-19 in Europe and the U.K., it couldn’t be more dishonest to blame Trump for a feckless U.S. response.
