Seizing six-square blocks in Capitol Hill Seattle, Antifa and Black Lives Matter [BLM] have started their long-range plan on a small scale to overthrow the United States of America. Antifa and BLM have much in common, the hatred of federal government but, more importantly, white society. Both want to redistribute wealth in the society, especially taking money from law enforcement agencies around the country, putting the cash into leftist groups, allegedly designed to provide better education, community services and health care to poor people, especially people of color. Today’s land grab in Seattle by leftist activists and a wide swath of disenfranchised youth and homeless has now created a real nightmare to U.S. authorities. Seattle officials led by 62-year-old Mayor Jenny Durkan and 55year-old Police Chief Karman Best surrendered to Antifa and BLM to avoid more street violence.
Antifa and BLM seek revolution, subversion of civil society, overthrow by whatever means of the U.S. government. When they talk of de-funding the police, it’s obvious why they want it to happen. It’s not to allocate more cash to schools, clinics or welfare agencies, it’s so they can grab more land through intimidation, rioting, looting, arson, anarchy or by whatever means to overthrow existing government structures. No police or greatly reduced police gives anarchists an open invitation to break whatever laws they wish to achieve their ends. De-funding the police is the rallying cry for Antifa and BLM, appealing to the hoards of unemployed, disenfranchised and homeless, all of whom would like to steal from the rich-and-give-to-the poor, the philosophical underpinnings of Antifa and BLM. Giving marginalized populations a chance to enhance themselves at the expense of the rich is a socialist’s dream.
Washington State’s 69-year-old Gov. Jay Inslee, a former Democrat presidential candidate and Trump critic, told 73-year-old President Donald Trump to butt out, leaving the Seattle street takeover in limbo. Inslee and Durkan believe it’s OK to let protesters seize a piece of Seattle for whatever reason for the time being. Trump has warned Inslee and Durkan that if the land grab doesn’t end, he’ll send in the National Guard to take back the six-square-block area known by protesters as Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. “Your are entering free Capitol Hill and “no cop co-op” read signs from Antifa and BLM. Seattle police abandoned the area after protester pelted officers with bottles, bricks and Molotov Cocktails last Monday, June 7. Painting BLM on the streets like in Washington D.C. also adorns the neighborhood. Atifa and BLM demand the abandoned East Police Precinct be turned into a community center.
BLM spokesman Mark Henry Jr. explained the takeover as a way for different groups to demand change in oppressed communities. “I see people coming from different walks of life . . . learning from each other,” a kind of love-in, only at the expense of taxpayers, property owners and businesses in the cordoned off area. “These Liberal Dems don’t have a clue. The terrorists burn and pillage our cities, and they think it is just wonderful, even the death. Must end this Seattle takeover now!” Trump tweeted, antagonizing Inslee and Durkan. “If we have to go in, we’re going to go in. These people are not going to occupy a major portion of a great city,” Trump told Fox News. Durkan said sending in Federal troops would be “unconstitutional and illegal to send military to Seattle,” not realizing that she was violating the property rights of taxpayers in the area seized by Antifa and BLM, the so-called “Autonomous Zone.”
Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said it was not her decision to abandon the Capitol Hill East Precinct. ‘Ultimately, the city had other plans for the building and relented to severe public pressure,” Best said, meaning, Durkan ordered police to stand down to deescalate potential street violence. Durkan removed police barriers causing protesters to flood in, because she thought her personnel were at risk of injury. “This not that,” Best said referring to free speech, seeing peaceful demonstrations morph into an illegal land grab. Best said it’s her intention to return police back to the East Precinct when it’s safe. She confirmed the “need to have officers responding to calls in a timely fashion. And with the occupation that’s taking place, we’re not able to do so in a timely way, at odds with the mayor’s office.” Whatever’s going on in the mayor’s office, it doesn’t support the rule of law.
U.S. cities are living through a leftist nightmare by organized groups designed to extort the U.S. government into making financial concessions to the black community and other communities of color. No matter how you cut it, Antifa and BLM are radical groups with a radical agenda to subvert the rule of law to advance their agenda of redistributing wealth in the United States. Whatever changes radical groups seek in the U.S., the way to get change is not violent revolution and land grabs. Federal authorities won’t allow anarchists to seize control of streets, turning the Constitution and rule of law on its head. Violent revolution is not a substitute from seeking change by peaceful means no matter how long it takes. Antifa and BLM argue that only street violence gets the attention of authorities. If governors and mayors subvert the law, Trump has every right to step in.
