China continues to push back against U.S. claims that it concealed the deadly outbreak of coronavirus AKA SARS-2 or Covid-19 in Wuhan for months before it sent millions of infected Chinese tourists to the United States, Europe and around world spreading the highly infectious virus.. U.S. and European Union [EU] scientists have been denied access to Wuhan’s Institute of Virology [WIV] where U.S. officials suspect the coronvirus leaked, either from infected lab workers or infected lab animals sold into Wuhan’s wet markets, where residents purchase wild animals for human consumption. “This dangerous attempt to turn back the wheel of history will undo the fruits of decades-long China-U.S. cooperation, dampen American’s own development prospects, and put world stability and prosperity in jeopardy,” said China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi May 24 at China’s National People’s Congress.
With 1,696,547 total cases and 99,561 deaths, no country has suffered more than the United States from the deadly coronavirus global pandemic. Yi thinks the U.S. should stay silent over China’s flagrantly irresponsible role in warning the world about its SARS CoV-2 outbreak that decimated Wuhan’s population before the Jan. 23 lockdown that enabled China to control the lethal outbreak. But for months, starting in Nov. and Dec. 2019, China remained silent about the spiraling epidemic in Wuhan, working directly with the World Health Organization [WHO] to keep the outbreak silent. Yi blames the Trump administration for “taking China-U.S. relations hostage,” blaming “some political forces in the U.S.” for holding China responsible. China and WHO’s Ethiopian 55-year-old Director-General Tedros Adhamon Gheybreyseus kept the coronavirus secret for months.
China refuses to own how its secrecy spread the SARS CoV-2 epidemic beyond its borders to infect the world. Not only has the world lost 348,312 citizens, the world’s economy has been plunged into the worst recession since the Great Depression. U.S. Federal Reserve Board Chairman 67-year-old Jerome Power said today the economic recovery would take years, maybe a decade, driving the U.S. unemployment rate from 3.5% to 20% and climbing. While 73-year-old President Donald Trump banned Chinese flights to-and-from China Jan. 31, drawing objections from Tedros Feb. 3, WHO did not declare a global pandemic until March 11. While China locked down Wuhan Jan. 23, Tedros proclaimed Jan. 14 that there was no “human-to-human” transmission in Wuhan. Trump suspending all U.S. funding from WHO April 14 pending a serious investigation into WHO practices.
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Li claims the U.S. started a new Cold War over handling to the coronavirus global pandemic. But China’s Foreign Minister spokesman Zhao Linjian proclaimed March 14 that the U.S. military planted the deadly coronvirus in Wuhan in Oct. 2019. Then, after a global outcry, Vice Foreign Minister Le Lucheng declared April 29 that the China locked down Wuhan 23, blaming the U.S. for a sluggish response to containing the virus. With all the lies coming from China, Wang Li dares to say the U.S. has created a new Cold War. China has done everything possible to deny responsibility for the virus, insisting it occurred naturally in Wuhan, totally contradicting Zhao Linjian;s accusation that it was planted by the U.S. military. U.S. and EU scientists, that regularly visited Wuhan’s Institute of Virology [WIV], were banned by the Chinese Communist government from entering China.
With all the propaganda spewing the Chinese Communist government, Li forgets that his President Xi Jinping said Feb. 22 that China would improve biosecurity at China’s microbiology labs. Following Xi’s remarks, China’s Ministry of Science and Technology announced new procedures for handling coronviruses and other dangerous viruses. Yet Li acts like it’s some big surprise that 56-year-old U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said May 4 that the cornonavirus outbreak most likely came from WIV or some other associated lab. WIV lab director Wang Yanyi said May 24 called the idea that SARS CoV-2 came from her lab “pure fabrication.” But she admitted to studying “bat viruses” at WIV. Wang Yanyi’s remarks become the latest Chinese disinformation to deny China’s responsibility for unleashing the coronavirus plague on the world, knowing the growing financial liability.
China has done everything possible to deny responsibility for the SARS CoV-2 outbreak for the purpose of avoiding financial liability. With lawsuits mounting, China wants the world to know it had nothing to do with deadly coronavirus global pandemic. China insists the outbreak occurred “naturally” in a wet market, having nothing to do with lax security at its WIV studying bat-coronaviruses. If China were really so open and had nothing to hide, why would they ban U.S. and EU scientists from entering WIV to study the origin of the outbreak? If it really occurred naturally, that would be the conclusion of scientists. China’s Communist Party must keep up its disinformation campaign to avoid mounting financial liability for the widespread global deaths and destruction to the world economy. No one has been hit harder by the coronavirus global pandemic than the United States.
