Proving that “scientists” can be con artists like anyone else, CBS “60 Minutes” was buffaloed by “eminent virologist” 55-year-old Peter Daszak, whose funding for his nonprofit organization EcoHealth Alliance was cut by the National Institutes of Health. [NIH]. Daszak claims his organization was involved in research about bat-borne coronaviruses, including the novel coronavirus SARS CoV-2. Daszak doesn’t include all his funding sources, possibly Communist China, only upset over what he thinks are politics behind his funding cut. Daszak complained to CBS’ Scott Pelley that his grant from the NIH was cut because he promoted China’s explanation of the origin of the SARS CoV-2 outbreak in Wuhan, China, sometime around October or November 2019, with the date uncertain because China refuses to allow U.S. or European Union inspectors into Wuhan’s Institute of Virology [WIV].

Daszak’s story fits perfectly into CBS’s anti-Trump bias, where the network portrays the White House response to the global coronavirus pandemic as inadequate, the exact talking points of the Democrat Party. It’s no accident that Daszak has his finger prints all over a Wikipedia page on the WIV where U.S. and British intel agencies suspect the SARS CoV-2 epidemic originated. Daszak uses his position to promote the Chinese Communist Party narrative that the novel coronaviurs originated “naturally” in a “wet market” in Wuhan, where exotic animals are sold for human consumption. Daszak isn’t happy over his NIH grant cut, hoping the lobby CBS to advance his cause to the U.S. government. Daszak used “60 Minutes” to push his theory that his grant was cut because he promotes the Chinese Communist view that the novel coronavirus occurred “naturally” in Wuhan from a bat-infected animals.

Claiming he received NIH funding for 15-years for his EcoHealth Alliance, Daszak preached the choir at CBS who, like other liberal broadcast networks, dispute everything presented by the Trump administration. Trump fights a fierce propaganda war not only with China over the origin of the coronavirus but with the U.S. media seeking to defeat him in the November election. Since elected Nov. 4, 2016, the media has been out to get Trump anyway possible, spending years writing and broadcasting stories about Trump’s alleged ties to Moscow. Once 75-year-old Special Counsel Robert Mueller released his Final Report March 23, 2029 clearing Trump of ties to Russia, Democrats and the media did everything possible to find an alternative impeachable offense, settling on a phony “whistleblower” complaint about a July 25, 2019 call with 40-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

When Democrats impeachment efforts failed Feb. 5, the media fixated on blaming Trump for a substandard response to the global coronavirus pandemic. Daszak gives 100% backing to WIV, where Daszak claims he worked or 15 years studying coronaviruses. Daszak insists there’s no basis to White House claims that the SARS CoV-2 global pandemic originated at WIV. Speaking to “%0 Minutes,” Daszak had the perfect audience, soaking up his denunciation of the Trump administration. Daszak didn’t tell Scott Pelley about Chinese President Xi Jinping promising to “protect the Chinese people” Feb. 22 by tightening up biosecurity at China’s microbiology labs. Why would Xi say that two weeks before the World Health Organization [WHO] declared a global pandemic March 11, about four months after the deadly coronavirus epidemic struck Wuhan?

Going into his song-and-dance, “60 Minutes” soaked up Daszak’s story, not knowing how he’s part of China’s global disinformation campaign, waging a fierce propaganda battle to declare the novel coronavirus occurred “naturally” to deny an liability for unleashing plague on the world, causing 4,231,897 cases and 285,480 deaths today. Scientists like Daszak blame the White House for “politicizing” the SARS CoV-2 global pandemic but China refuses to allow U.S. and EU scientists to inspect the WIV and other sites where the deadly virus might have originated. Daszak mentioned nothing to “60 Minutes” about China’s Ministry of Science and Technology issuing new guidelines Feb. 22, after Xi spoke, for dealing to dangerous bat-originated coronaviruses in China’s microbiology labs. Why would the Ministry of Science and Technology issue new guidelines if China weren’t concerned about a laboratory leak?

U.S. and British intel agencies estimate that China under-reported its novel coronviruses cases and deaths 50-fold, now refusing to allow U.S. and EU scientists into its WIV lab to find out what happened. China kept the deadly coronaviurs epidemic secret for months, until it leaked to the world in late December 2019. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanmom Ghebreyesus knew about the Wuhan epidemic in December 2019, possibly November, but kept Xi’s secret until declaring a global pandemic March 11. Tedros allowed millions of infected Chinese tourists to travel to the U.S., Europe and beyond over the 2019 holidays. Tedros claimed Jan. 14 there was no “human-to-human transmission” in Wuhan. Nine days later China locked down Wuhan. Scientists like Daszak who spread Chinese Communist propaganda have a ready audience in mainstream U.S. and global news outlets.
