Growing evidence from the military and intel communities indicate that the novel coronavirus AKA SARS CoV-2 or Covid-19 leaked from a bioweapons laboratory in Wuhan’s Institute of Virology. China originally attributed the Wuhan virus to a seafood market, though no human-to-human transmission was verified from the market. Leaking the deadly virus from a highly secure bioweapons lab opens up a can of worms for China. After 73-year-old President Donald Trump banned all U.S. for foreign flights to or from China Jan. 31, China blamed the U.S. military March 13 for planting the novel coronvirus in Wuhan. China recently banned all researchers or journalists from publishing any story about the origin of the coronavirus without government authorization. Reports in January from Wuhan indicated that an unnamed doctor published on the Internet his report of a deadly virus outbreak.
Whatever appeared on the Internet was quickly erased with the unnamed doctor disappearing from the scene, never heard from again. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff 61-year-old Gen. Mark Miley confirmed that the military was actively looking into report that SARS CoV-2 originated in the Wuhan Virology Institute bioweapons’ lab. “On the lab piece . . . it should be no surprise to you that we’ve taken a keen interest in that, and we’ve had a lot of intelligence take a hard look at that,” Miley said, neither confirming nor denying the Wuhan lab leak. “And I would just say at this point that it’s inconclusive—although the weight of the evidence seems to indicate natural. But we don’t know for certain,” referring to the idea that the coronvirus was not fabricated or genetically modified in a bioweapons’ lab. Earlier rumors suggested that the coronvirus was laboratory made.
Researching the origin of the coronaviurs, Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin tweeted that “many senior officials disagree with Miley and believe the lab origin is much more likely than the seafood market story. When you consider the worldwide destruction from the coronvirus now at 2,083,826 active cases and 134,616 deaths, including 644,089 cases and 28,529 deaths in the U.S., there’s growing liability that China must pay reparations to countries around the globe for unleashing the virus. China wants to promote the “seafood market” story to blame the virus on a naturally occurring problems originating from bats. There’s a big difference proving that he bat-originated novel coronvirus leaked to Wuhan’s human population from a highly secured bioweapons’ lab, something banned under the March 26, 1975 Biological Weapons Convention, banning biological warfare.
China has done everything possible since the spiraling coronavirus outbreak began in Wuhan in December 2019 to hide information about the outbreak. “There’s a gap in the intel,” Rogin said. “That’s largely because the Chinese government has censored and suppressed all evidence related to the lab. World Health Organization [WHO] officials acknowledged in Dec. 2019 that first Covid-19 outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China’s Hubei Province, suggesting the infection came from a “zoonotic source,” in the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market. Although the WHO acknowledged that, “early cases identified in Wuhan are believe to have acquired from a zoonotic source,” suggesting infected seafood. Reports from the U.S. embassy in Wuhan indicate problems in biosecurity at the Institute of Virology, China’s only Level 4 bio-safety laboratory, handling deadly viruses.
Recovered “sensitive but unclassified” State Department cable from 2018 indicated problems at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, citing a serious shortage of trained personnel. “During interactions with scientists at the WIV laboratory, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators need to safely operate the high-containment laboratory,” read the State Department cable, concerned about exposure from SARS and MERS viruses. “The cable was a warning shot,” one U.S. officials said. “They were begging people to pay attention to what was going on,” meaning lab workers handling deadly viruses lacked the skill to prevent exposure to lab workers, or, proper disposal, usually through cremation, of infected laboratory animals. Reports suggest that poorly trained lab workers made extra cash selling infected lab animals to Wuhan food brokers.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called China’s top diplomat Yang Jiechi today asking for China’s complete “transparency” in the novel coronavirus crisis. “The Secretary stressed the need for full transparency and information sharing to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and to prevent future outbreaks,” said a State Department spokesman. “We are actively and vigorously tracking down every piece of information we get on this topic, and we are writing frequently to update policymakers,” said an intelligence official. Pompeo can expect no transparency and an elaborate cover-up from China over the origin of the SARS CoV-2 outbreak. WHO’s 55-year-od Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus did everything possible to cover for Chinese President Xi Jinping when they both new Wuhan was dealing in December 2019 with a deadly coronvirus outbreak Zero transparency from China or WHO.
