Closing ranks to refute President Donald Trump’s charge that his campaign was wiretapped by the Obama administration, ABC News reported Martha Raddatz tapped Obama White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest. Using Earnest as a character witnesses is like using Al Capone’s personal secretary. Earnest, of course, is going to defend his boss, former President Barack Obama against a serious charge of abusing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] court for a political witch hunt. In the waning days of the 2016 campaign, the Hillary campaign was getting that sinking feeling, desperate for anything to stop Trump. Obama put his heart-and-soul campaigning for Hillary, all to watch it backfire Nov. 8, 2016. No one campaigned harder to elect Hillary to see his legacy continue than Obama. Hillary’s chief strategist John Podesta accused Trump of everything but the kitchen sink.

Putting ABC News into context, they ran almost 100% negative stories about the Trump campaign, doing everything possible to elect Hillary. ABC News personified the so-called “fake news” media bias, clearly taking sides in 2016 to elect Hillary. “President Trump is working very hard to try to distract the American public and the news media from the growing scandal about why his administration and why he himself has, at least, not been forthcoming about their talks and their ties with Russia,” said Earnest, once again, repeating Podesta’s talking points. Earnest shows his extreme bias hyping Trump’s ties to Russia, something Hillary did in the final presidential debate, calling Trump a “Putin puppet.” Interviewing Earnest, Raddatz couldn’t cover her glee digging up more dirt on Trump. Earnest didn’t mention that speaking with Russian Amb. Sergey Kislyak hardly proves Trump’s ties to the Kremlin.

Defending his boss from explosive charges that Obama abused FISA court to tap Trump’s phones, Earnest and Raddatz continued the anti-Trump narrative. Insisting Trump diverts attention to Russia meddling in the 2016 election, Earnest, with Raddatz’s help, engaged in the real smoke blowing. “There is one page in the Trump White House crisis-management playbook, and that is simply tweet or same something outrageous to distract from the scandal, an the bitter the scandal, the more outrageous the tweet,” said Earnest. Earnest offers no proof of Trump’s collusion with Putin to defeat Hillary. He talks of scandal but not a single intel agency, including the FBI, CIA, National Security Agency or Defense Intelligence Agency, offers any proof of Trump’s alleged Russian ties. Earnest talks of Trump’s scandal, confined today to a few campaign officials talking to the Russian U.S. ambassador.

With Earnest and the mainstream press pushing Trump’s ties to Russia, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, demands the FBI turn over it’s dossier on Trump. Schiff accused FBI Director James Comey of “stonewalling” evidence from his committee. Schiff;s chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes, says Comey has been forthcoming with the committee. If Comey had any real dirt on Trump, the committee would have received it long ago. Earnest knows that Hillary contracted with former MI6 agent Christopher Steele to produce a scandalous dossier on Trump, something they hoped would have turned the election. Hillary’s campaign gave the dossier to Sen. John McCain (R-Az.), chairman of the Armed Services Committee, who turned it over to the FBI. Earnest talks of Trump’s scandal with Raddatz like he has categorical proof.

After accusing Trump of diverting public opinion away from his Russian scandal, Raddatz asked Earnest if he could say the Justice Department, under former Atty. Gen Loretta Lynch, did not ask the FBI or any other intel agency to wiretap Trump. “Here’s the simple answer to that question, Martha, I don’t know,” said Earnest, impeaching his own credibility. “What I can tell you is what the White House did . . .order the intelligence community conduct this review of alleged Russian hacking,” practically admitting that conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin was 100% right that Obama ordered Trump’s wiretapping. Once Raddatz realized what she got Earnest to admit, she spent the rest of the interview rehabbing Obama’s former aid. Earnest admitted that Obama ordered Trump investigated for his alleged ties to Russia, something, at this point, so flimsy it’s laughable.

When Trump turned the tables on the media with his tweet about Obama wiretapping, the media, as Earnest said, went into damage control mode. Admitting that Obama did indeed ask the intel community to investigate Trump, Earnest boosted Trump’s credibility on the growing wire tapping scandal. FBI Director James Comey hurt his cause yesterday demanding Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions denounce Trump’s accusations. Comey wanted Sessions to debunk the charge he did anything illegal. Comey didn’t deny going to FISA court last October to get permission to wiretap Trump Tower. Whatever Trump-associates’ conversations with Kisyyak or any other Russians, it had nothing to do with meddling in the U.S. election. When you consider that Hillary won nearly 3 million more popular votes than Trump, how could the intel community conclude that Putin helped Trump?
